Heitz Posted March 3, 2016 Share Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) As someone who spends too much time on the road, I often run across bars and restaurants with Buffalo love / theme / owners, etc. Just thought that those special places outside of WNY deserve a little shine! Tonight had dinner at Buffalo Fire Department in Torrence, CA, a burger and beer joint. Food was just fine (nice thick burger, good fries), but the decor made me smile - lots of Bills and Sabers pennants and other assorted memorabilia around the joint. Definitely a nice little surprise for a client dinner... http://www.buffalofiredepartment.com/ Let's keep building this one out so that when I'm, nay WE'RE on the road, we can find a little taste of home... Bullpen Posted March 3, 2016 Share Posted March 3, 2016 This is one of the best in Colorado and he's authentic WNY: http://www.backeastbarandgrill.com/ His first venture was a pizza take out counter about a mile from our first town house, obviously he's done well for himself with three locations in the two largest cities in the state all in high-traffic areas. Great story. When he'd tell his sisters BFD his mom would tell him to watch his mouth. He says "I'm just saying Buffalo Fire Department" He then goes on to open a place called Buffalo Fire Department. That's awesome! Wish I was still in SoCal I'd go check him out.
