Hapless Bills Fan Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 As Byrdless training camp draws to a close, I have a question about NFL rules regarding a franchised but unsigned player and the 53 man roster. Do they take up a roster spot? Or is it the same as any other yet-to -be-signed or PUP player, the team fills the 53 man without him then must cut someone to make a spot if/when he returns?
