Here's What Happened to Zac Dysert and Peter Lalich in the Draft

Recommended Posts

These two guys were getting some buzz as possible late-rd QB prospects.

Dysert went in the 7th to the Broncos:

Lalich, as far as I can tell, wasn't drafted and wasn't signed as an UDFA. Suprising, considering that the kid may have had the best arm in the class:

We fans tend to focus on "the arm" whereas the pros don't stress it nearly as much. Accuracy, brains (or at least the ability to correctly diagnose the defense) and "presence" count for more. Of course, if your guy has all those things going for him AND a strong arm, we're probably talking Number One overall. But a good many of the greatest QBs of all time are far from "great arms."

John Elway, Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the Broncos tweeted, "We're thrilled that Zac Dysert was available for us to take. You can never have enough quarterbacks."

I don't want to make it in a Tebow story, but you had qbs and you cut them. I always hated elway, and the 30 for 30 Elway to Marino helped me hate him more.

But I agree with yungmack.

Wow, that Pete Lalich story is pretty sad. It sounds like he could be a very good pro QB. He will probably get a chance somewhere eventually.
