Good size at 6'4" 225 with room to grow and a live arm and great feet. Kid can really runs hard too, on one TD he plowed through two defenders and just kept driving till he powered his way into the Enzone. If we don't get a QB this year or one that needs competition Bortles could be one to keep an eye on next year. "8.9. Average yards per carry for UCF quarterback Blake Bortles. But he escaped the pocket, extended the play toward the sideline, then found a lane and burst forward for a 19-yard gain. UCF would go on to score on a grueling, seven-minute drive. Then, after Ball State had survived an early surge and cut UCF's lead to 13-7, he plowed into two Ball State tacklers at the goal line on third-and-goal from the 6, fell forward, and scored. If Ball State makes stops on these two plays, the game plays out in a completely different fashion. Am very good friends with his dad and have seen him play many times. Tough as nails and has a cannon for an arm. Extremely confident andcool under pressure. BigdaddyinOrlando Posted December 22, 2012 Share Posted December 22, 2012 Not really because when he went there, there was another freshman qb they brought in and was pretty good but he kept saying he wasn't afreaid of the competition and that all he wanted was a fair shot. He was redshirted his first year and then last year replaced this guy at the end of year and now has taken over and improved each game forward! Also is a good and smart stdent!!
