Where do we go from here?

the first thing you have to do is get rid of the "cancer"...

So, the top priority has to be getting rid of Bledsoe... adios!! The margin of error for the offense is razor thin when he's playing. You can win with a QB like that if he doesn't make mistakes himself... but he does...and he makes lots of them and the big mistakes... I can't think of any 12 year veteran QB that makes as many bonehead mistakes as he does. Why so many fans worship him and drink his koolaid, I'll never understand.... this guy is the most over rated and hyped QB of all time. I said it many times... you can't get to a SB with him as your starter, let alone win one. When "we only need one pin, Rodney" you can take it to the bank that Bledsoe will put it in the gutter... every time. He's a big time loser and he's taking up way too much salary cap space.

2) Lindell.... outa here!!

3) Let Jennings go and get a real LT

4) Get a real center and a real LG

5) Resign Pat Williams or bring in someone comparable. The drop off is significant when he and Sam are not in there together.

6) DE needs to be addressed, as in "BIGGER, MORE PHYSICAL"... the Bills DEs are too small/light and got punished yesterday by a bigger and physical Steeler O

line.

7) Get a real Free safety.... one that is physical. Vincent is a high price to pay for a nickel back and a "stop gap" at FS.

8) a real tight end would be nice.

and my only question is... why is Posey on this team? Can't we get the same or better production from Josh Stamer or a journeyman?

1. QB: Goodbye Drew, hello anyone. Even Flutie won yesterday.

2. RB: Get whatever you can for Henry, and pick up a mid-round pick for WM's backup.

3. WR: Goodbye Eric, unless you're willing to play for a lot less, and then only as a 3rd down guy. This is where the FA money should go.

4. K: Draft one and start him. Rookie kickers have been doing OK in the league lately (Kaeding at SD, Dallas' kicker).

5. OL: Draft draft draft! Maybe one FA.

My priorities for next season?

1. Let the coaches and managers manage the team

2. Save enough to attend the season opener and the Texans game at the Ralph.

3. Start planning to attend the New Orleans and Miami road trips

4. Pray for a new "experienced" quarter back so that we don't have to wait another 2 years to bring our rookie up to speed.

5. To make it to Rochester for another "Garbage Plate" with fellow wallers.

Do you mind if I piggyback your priorities?

So, now that you’ve all slept on it [if you could sleep] what changes due you make in the offseason?  What are your top priorities?

Jennings is probably gone, so I think the offensive line will have to be addressed, maybe in free agency.  Lindell has to go, in my opinion.  And a decision has to be made at QB.  Does the organization have confidence that DB can win the big games against top opponents?  TD and MM have to honestly answer that question themselves.  On defense, I’d make re-signing Pat W. the top priority.

Anyway, what do you think?

Everything starts with replacing Bledsoe. He will make a fine back-up for the young Losman. I say we did not draft this guy in the first round for nothing. With year under his belt I think he is ready to get it done. If nothing else he will at least be a moving target instead of a statue just waiting to be rocked.

Players -

Drew Bledsoe - Restructure or move on.

Eric Moulds - Restructure or publicly explain why you are more important than winning a ring.

Rian Lindell - First player cut.

Pat Williams - Must sign a cap friendly deal but we've got draft/sign his replacement.

Jeff Posey - Has been a non-factor since his arrival. We need more production form his position (Draft or FA).

Travis Henry - Should bring a 3rd.

Nate Clements - Sign him to long-term deal.

Positions -

DE - I don't care what anyone says, Aaron Schoebel is not the best we can do at RDE. He's a pass rushing specialist at best. Kelsay looks like a star.

TE - Campabell should be providing depth to whomeverwe bring in to upgrade this position.

LT - I believe Jennings is gone but I'd transition him so we at least get a pick or option to match.

LG - This must be addressed through FA by signing a QUALITY player.

C - We should draft Teague's replacement in this draft.

FS - I'm happy with Vincent even at the price but goodbye Reese, hello draft pick.

CB - I'm a big fan of McGee but we need a big, physical CB like Clements even if we must trade up into the 1st round if a blue-chip CB is there.

For me my priorities in the draft are :

Tier A - TE, CB, WR

Tier B - DE, DT, LB, FS, OL, RB

In free agency we should target OL and QB depth.

I think I've realized that this season was in fact a rebuilding year and we almost went 10-6 and could've went 11-5. In just two seasons we've (Hopefully) got our franchise QB and (certainly) our franchise WR and RB.

We are so very close to being the team to beat in the AFC and I think this offseason is more important than any since TD came to town.

1. Trade Bledsoe to Dallas for a used jock strap.

2. Trade Travis Henry for whatever they can get for him.

3. Cut Rian Lindell and find a Kicker.

4. Cut Josh Reed.

5. Find an OL or two.

6. Find another WR.

7. Find a LB to replace Posey. I haven't heard his name mentioned in I don't know how long. All season maybe.

8. Find a DT if they do not resign Williams.

9. Find a veteran backup QB.

10. Get a first round pick from somewhere. Maybe trade Moulds.
