Interesting read about players vs.fans

A very good article about the NFL players attitude towards football and what we see and feel.

Certainly, pro athletes with integrity instinctively give their best effort, are at least momentarily devastated upon suffering a tough loss, and are jubilant after a big win. But on a daily basis, the average pro athlete views the average game as another day at the office.

Of course they treat it like it's a job...cause it is. They're invested in their job and to have a career that undoubtedly shortens your life, as well as makes it incredibly physically difficult as you age you want to be, and should be well compensated for that. We'd all have that same attitude if the roles were reversed. That's never anything to hold against players.

In defense of Gronk, how many people love to go out and blow of steam after a bad day at the office.

He was not celebrating a loss. He was drowning his sorrows in alcohol. After all, he is a 22 year old from Buffalo.
