Coach Tuesday Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2011/week-8-dvoa-ratings Through 8 weeks, the Bills and Jets rank 2 and 3, respectively, in Football Outsiders' DVOA ratings. That means that Sunday's game is playoff-caliber. It's also incredible to me that the Bills rank so high in DVOA this far into the season - as FO's charting makes clear, this is a really strong indicator that the Bills are likely to make the playoffs. However, New England isn't far behind at the 8 spot, meaning that there is very likely to be a playoff-quality team from the AFC East that gets shut out of the playoffs... Anyhow, a win on Sunday would be HUGE. (But you already knew that.)
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Lots of intriguing matchups in Week 9, including what should finally be a couple of quality evening games on SNF and MNF. But Buf-NYJ has the potential to be the game of the week for sure. Another tidbit from FO...taking into account our current record, remaining schedule and current DVOA the Bills have a 73% chance of making the playoffs. http://footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds
