I just don't think either Newton or Gabbert are the answer for us in the long term & would rather wait to draft our next franchise QB next year. In the meantime the Fitz can handle our QB duties well. Just have a feeling wherever Palmer ends up, he has a couple really good years left in him, especially getting out of the envionment he's been in with the Bengals. Carson Palmer might help a solid, veteran team that just needs a QB but he is not going to resurrect a bad team at this stage of his career. He'd be better off as the backup with a team like the Jets or Ravens that have young QBs that are shaky. I don't think anyone in the draft class is the answer either, but just because you don't 'want to wait' isn't a very good reason to make a bad decision.
