2011 Draft

The 2010 Buffalo Bills season was.... pathetic. I am a die hard fan and went to every home game as well as 4 away games. And the bills have a lot of problems starting with their passing. The Bills are ranked 24th in the league for passing yards while were only averaging 197.4 passing yards a game! We need to draft a quaterback in the draft so we can hopefully get this number to at least 250 yds. Lets face is, Carolina is going to draft John Luck. Denver isnt going to draft a quarter back, because they already have tim tebow who put up decent numbers for his rookie season (keep in mind he only started three games) so Denver most likely wont pick a quarter back. Then its the Bills. I think we need to get out hand on cam newton from auburn. Hes is a heisman winner with a great arm. He is versitle enough to be able to get out of the pocket and run it for a decent game as well as opperate in a wildcat formation. So I think Cam Newton should be our first round pick. I also think that buffalo recieving core needs work. Since Poz isnt looking like we will sign him back, I suggest we try to trade him to some team with a decent pick like St. Louis for their pick. St. Louis has terrible line backers with their starter being James Laurinaitis and their back up being David Vobora, no-names right? The Rams also have the fourteenth pick. So if we could work out a deal where we send Poz and somebody else like Wilson or McGee over in return for their first round pick, we would be in prime position do draft an elite reciever like Justin Blackman from oklahoma or AJ Green from Georgia.

In our second round we need some D line. Enough said. Our team was last in the league in rushing defense with opponents averaging 169.6 yds a game. Thats sad. So we need line or a very intense DB that has the ability to stop the run. Maybe Jarvis Jenkins of Clemson or if hes availible Drake Nevis of LSU or Stephen Paea from Oregon State. But the run defense NEEDS to improve.

I think our best choices our Cam Newton, Trade for a pick for either AJ Green or Justing Blackman and then pick the best DT of DE that will be able to stop the run.

Poz and Wilson/McGee for a first rounder? Brilliant!

It appears doubtful that Newton will be the second QB taken so this says to me trade down if at all possible to try to get an extra pick to take the DE we need and still get Newton with a later pick in the 1st.

but if you look at the teams drafting behind us: Cinci will be looking for a QB depending on how they handle palmer. DC will be looking for a QB if they cut mcnabb (most likely will happen) arizona is looking for a QB so is San Fran and Tennessee. I think it would be too risky is we waited to long. Because the QB with possibly enough talent to help us are Newton Luck Locker maybe mallet and maybe moore in 2012.... But if Luck is taken... Newton is our only hope

If the Panthers are dumb enough to draft John Luck we'd be foolish not to grab Andrew Luck with the 3rd pick.

That's a sad statement. If the teams picking behind us really covet Newton...I say let's trade down with the highest bidder. Certainly Washington would be a good candidate given their track record.
