McNabb gets 5 year extension, $40M guaranteed

In the last 2 years Snyder has gauranteed Haynesworth, Shanahan and McNabb nearly $200MM combined. All 3 are headed for the "bust" trash heap. Snyder is the biggest fool in sports. Unless he's getting a kickback from these ridiculous deals, which makes him a Bernie Madoff caliber thief.

Haynesworth isn't guaranteed 110 million. Just 42.

Shanahan's rings will protect him from being called a bust.

Bernie Madoff stole hundreds of millions from people. Snyder gives it away.

Not so fast...contract details make this a lot clearer.

One of the contract's most significant points is a payment due this offseason, when the Redskins must decide whether or not to pay McNabb a $10 million option bonus. If they do, it would trigger the rest of the contract and make Washington liable for McNabb's $2.5 million base salary in 2011.

So in essence, the Redskins paid McNabb $3.75 million in 2010 for the right to pay him $12.5 million in 2011 and control his rights. If the Redskins cut him after this season or trade him, they are only on the hook for the $3.75 million.

and they wonder why in the last 10 years they have been as bad as the Bills

No they haven't been as bad as the Bills. They were in the playoffs a few times over the past 5 or 6 seasons, I have to break out the Beta Max tapes to remember when the Bills were in last in the playoffs. If only Ralph had the desire to win that Snyder does and spent some money we might get a winner someday, but not gonna happen. Snyder just needs to let GM Allen make the decisions and continue to be willing to spend money-something Ralph wont do. Plus, they can cut McNabb in the off season and only owe him like 3 million or something.

No they have been.

They backed into the playoffs in 2007 with former Bills Second Round pick Todd Collins mostly because they play in the NFC.

Other than that both franchises have been bottom dwellers.

Thanks for proving my point. Since 2005 the Redskins have been to the playoffs twice, we haven't even sniffed a winning record since then. I am not a Redskin fan by any stretch, but I would take Danny boy over Ralphie boy anyday of the week, at least he makes an effort to win.

Because of 2 more playoff appearances? LOL! This season is a spectacular failure for Snyder. You can have him.
