Do undersized teams suffer more injuries?

Recommended Posts

another factor on the jauron teams is that its easy to IR a guy when its not like your making a playoff run anyway. The two fundamental truths of IR TEND to be:

1)Size does matter -- big guys hurt little guys.

2)A Losing team shelves more guys

of course luck plays a role etc.... but when you look purely at number of games lost, those tend to be the biggest.

Very interesting analysis, and could explain why the Jauron teams seemed always to be banged up.

only problem is that this team this year is not undersized.

where are we undersized. not the offensive or defensive lines and not line backers.

the only lineman we have who is a little undersized is williams and he is our best d/lineman along with edwards.troupe is plenty big enough to play NT and he is just a baby and can add 10 to 15 lbs in the off season with no problem.

so IMO that issue does not apply this year.

the original post seemed to pretty clearly reference years past, not this year. Also, a lot of teams are just as banged up as we are so far this year.

may not be really undersize, but weak players don't hold up either
