Timing on passes mainly, I should think, and receptions. With no blocking or pass-rushing, it is a way to see how offensive plays develop. For the D, it would be more about learning how to cover. It allows the O skill players/D back 7 to work on pass plays/pass coverage, while allowing the lineman to work on blocking. More individual instruction.
