A few thoughts....

1) Fantastic game by the Saints coaching staff; gutsy play calling and holding Manning to 7 points over the last 3 quarters. After the 1Q, this game could have turned into a blowout. Amazing what a good coaching staff can do.

2) Drew Brees is probably the most likable guy in football and he played a near-flawless game. Good for him. And his kid is incredibly cute.

3) Garcon's drop is the biggest play that will go relatively unnoticed.

4) Manning haters will jump all over this game, but you can't lay this one on him. He barely had the ball in the 2d and 3d quarters. And the last pass went right through Wayne's hands...was a TD if Wayne hadn't been scared of getting hit.

5) Remember when the Super Bowl was a running joke as the worst game of the year? We have had an amazing run of great SB games; this one may have been the best yet in terms of quality of play.

IMO, thank technology that has been brought to the game. Even officiating. How can the side judge blow that call on the 2-pt conversion... He was looking right at it! Thank God the replay got it right.

I think if the onsides kick didn't hit the Colt in the helmet and go exactly 10 yards...

Closton would have had the biggest drop that would have relatively gone unnoticed.

I'm watching the postgame coverage online through WWL-TV's website (Channel 4 in New Orleans, their NBC affiliate).

They've shown different shots from different places in New Orleans. Especially the French Quarter. Great shots. :worthy:

How clutch was Garrett Hartley (the kicker) through the playoffs? Three 40+ yard kicks today - a Super Bowl record. Kid's got ice water running through his veins.

Very true. He kept them in the game when they weren't scoring TDs.
