Dan Posted December 21, 2009 Share Posted December 21, 2009 I did. I switched the preferences to the new hard drive. One problem was that I forgot to title the hard drive. Is there a way to change the name of the external? Yep, to change the name just highlight the existing name and type over it. That should be it. You can also click (just once) on the External Drives' icon. to highlight it. Then got to the Menu, "Get Info". And change the name in there. Either way should do the trick.
