  1. If they are paying attention and not listening to the advertising going on with the hundreds of millions of dollars supplied to the DNC by mega donors then yes, Trump may win. Trump is pragmatic and a bulldog. There's no doubt in my mind that he will get the economy going again. Joe would ***** it up like everything he has done throughout his whole life.
  2. Carter not only lost because the economy sucked but because he was such a pessimist. His idea of fighting the energy crisis was to put on an extra sweater and turn the thermostat down. Reagan was like a breath of fresh air and had his own MAGA program proposed in a much more artful way. Bush 41's economy was turning upward as Clinton with the help of Ross Perot beat him. Without Perot being in the race Bush would have won easily.
  3. Seriously? The article you linked to was over a year old and simply parroted the dems line before their attempts to impeach Trump. It has no bearing on the information that has recently come out.
  4. Are you forgetting Joe Biden's self admitted bullying of the Ukraine government into firing the main prosecutor of son Hunter's employer? I know it was just a mere billion dollars that he refused to release but c'mon man.
  5. You may not know this but do the world a favor and don't try to glue your rubbers back together. We have the gene pool to consider. What, you're afraid of people giving themselves the virus?
  6. Already been discussed and Kamala came away in first place.
  7. I see 3rd Chair "liked" you giving me an award that normally the Left gets. I guess he couldn't respond to my response to him above other than his usual bs..
  8. Tell us oh exalted one, do prosecutors normally exonerate a person when they fail to indict that person? Also, Mueller actually exonerated Trump on the collusion/conspiracy. Is that out of the normal? Since prosecutors can generally indict something as innocent as a ham sandwich does that mean that Trump must have been squeaky clean? Before you hang your hat on Mueller's job being that of investigating Trump and recommending indictment or not instead of actually doing the indictment himself, I am aware of the distinction. 3rd Chair, ever showing people why he deserves the title of 3rd Chair.
  9. When "sexual preference" was brought up yesterday I immediately thought how nice it would be to bring bi people into the equation and make Klobachar go nuts. (even more so)
  10. Thank you for your response. Just a couple thoughts regarding your comments: As far as California habitability goes there are basic barriers for the continued growth of that state. Water has and is in short supply there and needs to be created or found. It has to be priority one. Anything else such as bullet trains is sticking your head in the sand and trying to build your house on quicksand. California progressives and nutjobs work against themselves by promoting and instituting policies that do them no good. During a drought a few years ago they diverted water from the San Joaquin Valley, the most productive farmland in the world, in order to let that water flow to the ocean for the benefit of the migrating Delta Smelt. One would think that common sense should have prevailed and the water could have been sent to the farmlands with still a small portion allowed to flow to the ocean and save the species. California has electrical brownouts. I don't even need to comment further as to the reasons that the fifth largest economy in the world has to shut down their electrical grids so that they can distribute electricity to all at the same time are pushing to get rid of fossil fuels and use more electricity. They lack common sense and go all in on "hopes". Check out this dated article in the link below but better yet Google "Israel desalination plants" and see all of the articles regarding their salvation with gaining cheap water from desalination. Note that average household cost is $30 a month. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/israel-proves-the-desalination-era-is-here/ I'm all for renewable sources of energy but only when they become efficient enough to replace what we have now. The U.S. has reduced its carbon emissions by about 20% in the last decade or so. I don't believe that any other country has even remotely come close to that record. We did it by fracking and replacing coal fired electricity with natural gas fired electricity. Common sense and free market principles are what brought about this miracle. It's what will bring about the next advancement in making our lives more full and our environment cleaner. One more thing, our energy independence has not been accomplished at the expense of our overall economy. Our economy is diverse and deep. Bad actors like Russia who is a one trick pony as it relates to their economy can now be held in check by our ability to flood the market with energy products and bring down the price. Instead of spilling our blood in conflicts we can wave our big stick of energy dominance and coerce these bad actors into less bad actions. Many will question our right to do this while at the same time wailing about uncollaborated charges of Russian bounties on our service people. In a perfect scenario we would be all singing "We Are The World" but in the world we actually live in having a somewhat benevolent government calling our foreign relations policies. As you so clearly stated, sometimes it's best to forego the attempts for a perfect solution but to settle for "the least crappy one".
  11. "Shut up, you clown." Biden's way of bringing the country together.
  12. I listened to the hearing as I traveled through PA Trump country for 8 hours today. Every dem senator made speeches for the sole purpose of slamming Trump, hoping to hurt his reelection possibility. Whitehorse did not ask Barrett one question during his 30 minutes. Mazie Hirona has to be the stupidest Senator ever. Klobachar is a very accomplished liar. I like her less than I did previously and that says a lot.
  13. Ha! The difference is the EU has laid down the red carpet for Muslim immigrants so they can set up their Sharia no go zones.
  14. It's hard to get Wifi down in that basement office/supplies area his desk is in.
  15. The healthy kind. Once again, 3rd Chair shows his lack of attention to detail. Does anyone wonder why he's so far down the totem pole that he shares an office with the office supplies?
  16. Keep this in mind people: The American people have their voice in the House of Representatives, the states have their voice in the Senate while the administration executes the laws passed by the House and Senate. The SCOTUS rules on the constitutionality of the laws by Congress and the actions by the Executive branch. Nowhere is the Supreme Court a voice of the people. The people have their voice through their representative and by amending the Constitution.
  17. There's nothing worse than a butthurt liberal still denying election results 4 years later. You even bring up your butthurtness in a thread about China. Today I'm sitting back figuratively lighting up a cigar with the knowledge that my greatest hopes from 4 years ago are now coming to fruition. Donald Trump has changed the complexion of the SCOTUS with his soon to be three justice confirmations.
  18. Republicans think it's funny while democrats are pissed off that they have to wait an extra day to vote.
  19. BREAKING NEWS: fearful of the population catching Covid-19 at the polling place a decision has been made to basically cut in half the amount of people voting per day. All republicans are directed to vote on November 3, 2020. Democrats are advised to vote on the next even numbered day after the 3rd. If you're voting by mail be sure to get your ballot in the mail in the post office NO LATER than November 7, 2020.
  20. So, you would legitimize politics in the SCOTUS? The Supreme's sole job is to rule on the constitutionality of laws. Conservative justices not only understand that but believe in it. Liberal justices believe that it is in their purview to right all wrongs and legislate from the bench. For our republic to function properly each branch should stay in their own lane.
