  1. Our coaching staff is not good but then again neither is our personal. Get a Personal Guy in there ASAP. I'm sooo done with this team.
  2. Bryan Scott, this unknown had a breakout season and could eventually be the reason we move Whitner to Free Safety
  3. Add him to the list of unsuccessful Bills coaches but successful coaches elsewhere. (Kevin Gilbride, Mike Mularky, Dan Henning, Steve Fairchild....)
  4. Screw Bill Polian at least we still have Jeffrey Littman the best bean counter in the league. Any successful owner will tell you it's more important to have a good bean counter then a General Manager and scouting department.
  5. Wasn't Allen Wilson also a Willis McGahee apologist? This guy loves to befriend the players and defend them at all costs.
  6. Human Turnstile Jason Peters. He was beat cleanly on the play that led to the Losman sack and Jets touchdown but he is getting none of the blame. He is suppose to be our best lineman and he has been less then average this whole season.
  7. Don't forget to find the time to film more commercials for Time Warner Business Systems
  8. I know they say it typically takes a few years before you can judge draft classes but if you look at the 17 picks we have made in the last two years here is what is salvageable: Makes Lynch - Workhorse who earns every yard he gets behind big slow unathletic line Edwards - Has had ups and downs but considering he is a 3rd rounder he's not Chris Ellis like Poz - Gets a lot of hype in town and is good not great McKelvin - Already a great returner (because we need more of those) but needs to develop as a corner Misses Hardy - A 2nd round pick should contribute more then a 7th rounder (S. Johnson), looks lost out there Ellis - 3rd rounder that has made no impact Wright - 2007 4th rounder, out of NFL No one selected beyond round 3 in either of these drafts has made any significant impact on this team. Overall we have made 17 picks in these two years and of those 17, I believe the four I mentioned have a possible future. Two of those were top 15 picks and at the very least those picks should be quality players. The problem I see with this team is the College and Pro Personal Departments. It goes without saying that we have to draft better players. Dick Jauron has his short comings but as they say you cannot make chicken salad out of.....
  9. He was wearing his Cal basketball jersey and enjoying a hearty breakfast. He said he liked the new look of Pano's
  10. I really think that Crowell screwed the pooch when he decided to have this surgery 3 days before the opener. Clearly he was not straight with management about the severity of his injury otherwise they would have keep another linebacker on there roster not a special teams player in Corto. That being said the Bills should have waited at least through the weekend to determine whether or not to IR Crowell. He would be back in 4-6 weeks and in a contract year he would work very hard to showcase his talents for any interested teams looking towards acquiring his services for next season. The Bills could have signed a stop gap Linebacker for 4-6 weeks and welcomed back Crowell. Crowell from week 6 on is better then Blake Costanzo for 16 weeks. Crowell gets the majority of the blame here but the Bills were too quick to pull the trigger on IR ing him. This is a really disappointing situation
  11. Good reply's I agree that Murph and Carrucci would not be able to appear on GR because they are under contract elsewhere but an a ideal world they would be at the top of my list . I also agree that Paul Hamilton is insightful with his knowledge and reporting of the Sabres, but with the Bills he offers little. I'll even admit that I think the Coach sometimes offers an informative view with his knowledge of the game but his "blowhardness" gets in the way more often then not. Anyway I'm sure GR won't change their format anytime soon and I'll continue to listen as briefly as possible and if I want great NFL talk I'll flip over to the NFL channel on Sirius. Let's get this season started!
  12. Here are three major things that are wrong with WGR: 1)Mike Schoop hates just about every sport besides Pro Hockey and Tennis. Two very popular sports in the United States. 2)Paul Hamilton is given airtime. This guy has never provided any indepth insight or knowledge and he is the second most negative person on air besides Mike Schoop 3)It's bad enough we have to read about Jerry Sullivan taking up golf in the Buffalo News but to hear him multiple times a week on this station offering his negative opinion is just too much. One outlet is more then enough for this guy. Credible Sportscasters in town that should be on the only "Sportstalk" station in town are as follows: 1)John Murphy-offers insight and is extremely knowledgeable on numerous sports. Gives fair and balanced opinions 2)Vic Carrucci- again very knowledgeable (common theme) specifically when it comes to ProFootball (most popular sport in country) but can discuss other sports better then current personalities 3)Larry Felser- grandfather of Buffalo sports journalists who has covered the Bills from the start and provides insight on the Sabres 4)Howard Simon & The Bulldog- These two are the only reason to listen to WGR besides Jim Rome
  13. http://www.tmz.com/2008/08/26/crappy-quart...ir-dollarsback/ At what point did this sound like a good investment?
  14. Bruce Smith has come out today to state that he is happy training camp is officially over. "Man, Marv actually made me put on my helmet this camp. Can you believe he would do that?" Go Bills!
  15. It's a good thing Jason Peters wasn't getting down with his former teammates. Can this officially end the Matt Jones as a Buffalo Bill fantasy. This guy has been a bust from day one and I anticipate his release in the next day or so. Just because a receiver is tall doesn't make him good
  16. There couldn't have been a bigger supporter of Buffalo and the Buffalo Bills than Tim Russert. Rest in Peace. I think we should put his name on the Wall of Fame right next to the "12th Man"
  17. I also enjoy the "5 minute tune in" to WGR in the afternoon, and I of course get aggravated and then switch back to my Sirius for some great NFL talk. I would like to know how Schopp picks his show topic everyday. His two favorite topics are: -How great Hockey and the Sabres are -How the Bills are leaving town and the poor decisions they make Other then that he will discuss whatever main article is listed on the front page of the Buffalo News Sports section of that day. Then he proceeds to take calls and cut off most if not all calls that disagree with him Leave town Mike Schopp and take Jerry Sullivan and his crappy golf game with you. (What a great running piece in the News, an unathletic sports writer trying to take up golf and writing about it for three years. And they wonder why their circulation is down.)
  18. If we join powers with "High Motor Guy" we can dominate defensive lines everywhere
  19. I tune in to WGR for the interviews. Oh wait the only interviews they air are with Sabres Management or Hockey writers. I switched to Sirius and have not regretted it since the day I signed up. Pat Kirwin from 3-7 is the best NFL show on the air. Please leave town Mike Schopp and take Jerry Sullivan with you
  20. I agree that you should try to avoid DiamondHawk, it was openned too early and it's not that good of a layout. The best muni in the area is Sheridan Park and it will cost you $30. The next step up would be either Glen Oak ($40-$50) or The Links at Ivy Ridge ($40-$50). If you want to play really good courses head to Canada and try either of The Legends on the Niagara Courses ($70-$90 spring rates) or Grand Niagara ($70-$90 spring rates).
  21. This topic has not turned into what I had hoped for. Calling each other out for too many posts or lack of posting borders on the utterly pathetic side. I agree that Dickerson adds some football knowledge but his shtick has grown very tired. I also agree that Schopp was much easier to stomach on WNSA. I can't explain why this is. I'm thinking maybe it's the program director at WGR. I can understand why a call in show host would get annoyed at callers once in awhile but I can't see this happening all of the time. I do enjoy Sabres talk during the season but I don't need it 9-10 months out of the year. I like some Rome and I usually tune into the begining of Schopp and The Bulldog, then I get immediately annoyed by their show topic and I switch over to Sirius and listen to the NFL network. If you have Sirius I strongly suggest listening to Pat Kirwan on the Afternoon Blitz from 3-7. Anyway this town really could use a competitor to WGR and I hope one can evolve.
  22. Memo to WGR: -Professional Hockey is about the seventh or eight most popular sport in the United States, try to mix in some new show topics (i.e. UB Bulls Football, Big 4 Basketball, Niagara or Canisius Hockey, the NBA, N.C.A.A. Basketball, N.C.A.A. Football, Professional Golf....etc). I understand that you are the Sabres network and you broadcast their games and they are currently or were currently the hot ticket in town but please stop shoving hockey down our throats. -Don't put down your callers. You promote listeners to call up with their opinions and then you cut them off and dispute their points (This means you Mike Schopp). -End the "Whiner Line". Enough said. -Try mixing in an interview once in awhile. -Bring back Peter King. He actually brought NFL credibility to your station. -Bring in Larry Felser and get rid of Jerry Sullivan. Jerry Sullivan is the exact same whiney individual that Mike Schopp is. Larry Felser is a great story teller, offers credibility, and gives another perspective that is not Jerry Sullivan. -Keep: Howard Simon, Bulldog, Dennis Williams -Run: Mike Schopp, Jermery White, Jerry Sullivan, whoever the current program director is -Add: Peter King (again), Larry Felser, John Muprhy, Interviews
  23. Thanks for the tip.....This is the best picture I could find for Jeff Wright
