you should be able to undo a trade down, because that's some lame ass *****, especially letting KC go ahead. Might as well hold the door for them and bow

pathetic, he went to business school have some confidence

Hey genius.. Let’s see your list, with all that confidence.

I’ll make sure and save it and we can come back to it in a couple of years.. Should be a resume builder for you, since you’re an NFL caliber GM. C’mon, put your money where your mouth is..

    Still have Knox and Cook

I highly respect both of those guys, no doubt.. but if I'm not mistaken, they're both over a 9% avg. with drop rate. Knox was at 13.9% in 2023.

Not to say they can't work on that issue, of course.

Kincaid was at a 5.5% drop rate last season.

What's good is, this is obviously a specific focus with Joe Brady. After that big drop late against KC in the playoffs by Diggs, I can see why.

  3. If I were a GM in the NFL, what Beane did last night would be a strategy I employ most off-seasons. I’’d trade down when possible, stockpile picks and plan for next year’s draft as well. There are certainly times where I’d stay put or possibly move up, if I needed an elite player at a position, QB, etc. But I’d generally be happy to deal with other teams and increase opportunities to bring in more cheap, young talent.

I watch these guys most mornings. @JimmyNoodles got it right.

Simms rarely disagrees but is not chastised when he does. He's even tempered and takes alot of abuse with good humor. And he's pretty good at rating players.

Florio (originally a litigation lawyer) uses his courtroom tactics (loud, forcefull, loquacious) to make his point (even when he's just talking to himself like last Friday when Charean didn't show up). He concentrates on the business side of things.

But they are real, not rehearsed. Start with a list of topics and get as far as time allows.

I listen to them quite a bit, and the Simms podcast occasionally.. I agree with you on Simms and didn't know Florio's history, but it makes perfect sense.

I still stand by the fact that these guys and most of the sports media are way "over-opinionated" on such transactions simply to keep viewership during slow off-seasons.. and occasionally attempt to manufacture controversy like much of the media. But I do like the two of them and their analysis usually.

  5. I saw this exchange 2 days ago and thought about posting this myself.. Here's my opinion on it: These analysts get into the "slower" parts of the NFL offseason, and are scraping for news. Something like that trade draws a ton of attention this time of year, with little on the NFL news front before the draft. Analysts capitalize and "sensationalize" this sort of story for views. Editorial monologues and aggressive debate over these little transaction surprises take up all of the air in the media and competition for clicks, ratings, whatever ensue... pure sports media offseason theatre.

  6. No disrespect to Henry.. he’s a future Hall of Famer.

But there are sooo many areas with more need and limited cap space for the team.. and Henry may get 7-8 million or more per year (just a guess). Regardless, cap space that can go to a top #2 WR, one or two good defensive linemen, or multiple options in the secondary should be highly preferable here.

Get a bigger goal line RB with one of those extra late round picks.. So many options for much cheaper RBs, who can still help significantly..

Y'all are just jealous of Hailee.

You want to wear Josh's Letterman jacket.

It's okay. It's 2024. You can admit it.

Throw in his class ring and a luxury box and I’ll admit it!!

  8. No, I never thought the team was good enough this season. I had hope, but knew it would be very difficult realistically… before and during the season.

I thought the 2021 and 2022 seasons were their best shots under this regime.

I’m perfectly happy with Beane as GM. He’s proven himself beyond a reasonable doubt. But with this coaching staff, the Bills will most likely never win a Super Bowl. Beane would have to bring in multiple difference makers, all players stay mostly healthy throughout a season and Allen and the offense would have to click on all cylinders consistently for this coaching staff to go all the way.

The Reids and Shanahans of the NFL are going to always out coach McDermott when it matters.. It’s that simple..
