I would have picked him at 30 over the 3 or 4 prospects he was measured against.
Looks the the smart move by Beane. He trusts his Defensive Coaching staff to develop this kid. Perhaps we should too ?

If that's a question to me, I'll repeat what I said: I'm all in with this franchise and their current drafting abilities.

And now, with Rousseau AND Basham? Wow...

  2. I never watched Rousseau in college. But based on a few opinions I've heard on this board and with the media, I'm intrigued.

Watching his highlights and now understanding his reach, stripping/batting abilities, nose for the QB, etc. what else could Beane have done in terms of need (besides possibly trading down) at 30? A DE prospect that can play inside as well? If this kid proves he can progress in the NFL and our coaches succeed with teaching him, he has a ton of potential.

I'm all in with this franchise and their current drafting abilities. They started a small run on DEs at the end of the 1st, which makes me wonder. I have a feeling this was the best pick in that moment. We'll see...

  3. If this offense could add an elite, or near elite, TE on offense that becomes an immediate safety valve, that’s a perfect upgrade for Allen. Get a bruiser of a RB and OL depth in the draft, if possible.

Defensively, I’d look at nearly every position... starting with the trenches. Knock yourself out grabbing defensive talent this offseason, McBeane.

Just a couple of correct pieces on offense (and some depth), and devote everything else to getting the D back to top-5.

I also completely blame the NFL for keeping the Bills in limbo from Friday - Tuesday.  Not knowing if they have to play the Titans on Tuesday or the Chiefs on Thursday.

Titans had it easy. Game plan for the Bills for basically two weeks. Get healthy. and hold out of facility practices and meetings.

I love the "well they are professionals so they should be prepared".  Just put yourself in their shoes for a few minutes.  It is ridiculous the NFL put them in this spot to have to be concerned about playing a team that had 23+ covid positives and trusted they were following the rules. While also have to be concerned about played two different opponents within 2 days of each other if the other one doesn't go.

I'm not going to make excuses for this game, because the Bills were horrible.

Having said that, when the NFL says this season will be "unfair" for some teams, we all know who's immediately going to be on THAT list. Usually, it's the same teams that get the short end of the stick.

The Bills must always be prepared to beat more than just the opponent... with either the refs, or the NFL, or both adding to the difficulties.

  5. I don't know why people are down on this player. Great size, has played how many different sports? His entire family are/were athletes?

Seems like the usual McBeane pick... fills a need. Looks like a good pick to me.

BTW, I'm sure there are MANY reasons this guy was picked.. but it might have enhanced the need for his size and power with a massive OT now in the division named Mekhi Becton (6' 7", 369 lbs).

Not a single hold called against the Texans. Story all year long.

Teams hold like crazy against us but NEVER get called. They make sure to find 2 to 4 holds or blindside blocks against us though every week.

Stupid defense on that 3rd and 18 play but the refs let a delay of game go and a hold as well

    THIS!!! Every game!

There was an obvious hold on that 3rd and 18 in OT. The Bills had 7 sacks at that point. Houston was holding on several plays to counter it. Not one flag!

  7. Well, I’m currently visiting family about 70 miles from Clarksdale, Mississippi... home of the “original” Crossroads. I plan to be there just before midnight tonight NYE, dressed head to toe in Bills gear. I’ll be taking with me a Scott Norwood jersey to set aflame at the center of that intersection, while chanting “Trust the Process” and performing a rhythmic McClappity clap. When Ol’ Scratch shows up in his Bose headset and OJ Simpson jersey, I’ll promise him my soul and a pair of zubaz for fair and balanced officiating and a long overdue Buffalo Bills cover story on ESPatriotsN. And if he’ll throw in a Lombardi trophy for McBeane and Company, I’ll promise him Doug Whaley’s soul as well. I’d offer him Dick Jauron’s, but he doesn’t have one so...
