According to Clayton he is the best TE left available. From the Chiefs, I know nothing about him. Anybody seen him play? worth adding to the camp competition?
Also he mentions that Leftwich is still available. Saw some traffic here that some liked that idea for BU QB. I met someone that knew him. Thought he was a good guy. I'd rather keep JP. Coming off the bench or for a few games to hand off to ML he'd be ok. But I'd trade him for a good receiver (even to package him to move back into R1 for a couple good players) & take Leftwich instead.
His stats aren't too great. He looks like just another backup tight end, we already have 4 of those. (T. Johnson, Royal, Shouman, anderson) I say wait till the draft to see what we do at TE. Hopefully we pick one up in round 2 or 3.

I think the broken bone is a worse injury despite. Though both are pretty gruesome.
Surprisingly the broken leg didn't hurt as bad. Plus, having a huge scar on your lip sucks.

If you consider playing hide-n-seek a sport, then that is how i got my worst injury. Wehad an abondoned house as base, my freind was chasing me and i tried to get to the steps of the house. Another kid was running towards the stairs at the same time, and he cut me off.
I tripped and flew face first at full speed towards the steps. The steps were worn down and jagged.... I ended up getting carried down the street by one of my neighbors back to my house. My mom called for an ambulance, and i ended up splitting my lip in half, losong 3 teeth, 1/2 of another tooth, splitting open my gums, and getting 23 stiches on my lips to close it all.
Now if you don't consider that a sport, then i'de say my worst was breaking my leg right below the knee on a street curb. we were playing football in the street, Itried to make a sidelinde catch, and slipped. i dropped with my full weight on the curb, snapping the bone in half. It left a pretty nice scar.

Haven't heard that he's moving fast towards retiring, but then, he has moved very fast towards anything in years.
My guess is he waits for training camps/preseason gets going and tries to land on a team with injuries. Last year it looked like he lost a step and was just worn down.

HA! YEAH RIGHT! You can't beat the sports guru!
When's the last time a person who actuallly knew anything about sports won a Pick 'Em tourney? I gaurantee someone like Buffalo Bildo wins it

I'm ok with that. I'm joining both for the heck of it anyway.

Obviously there will be a few upsets, but I have North Carolina v.s. UCLA in the final.

I hope they send him somewhere like the Deep South say maybe Atlanta. If they send him to say like Detroit the plane would probably fall short of the runway.
Nice.

I'm pissed that I had to re-register by the way. Back to being a rookie again...
You and me both
Change Dilfer to Gray or Rattay, and this is how I'm hoping the draft goes.

His stats are certainly respectable.
His stats. pretty good for a back up.
He wouldn't challenge Trent for the starters role, but could come in and win some games if need be. To me he is the perfect back up for us. would be cheap too.

The only problem i am having now is that when I click on the red box for the first unread post, it goes all the way to the last post in the thread (skipping past all of the other posts that I haven't seen yet.)
small inconvenience though, keep up the good work.

Quinn Gray, man.
I'de be ok with gray, but am I the only one who thinks Tim Rattay would be a good backup?

I get a little antsy that we haven't picked up a WR, TE or CB. Then I realize there really weren't any signable players at our needs positions, we landed some good ones and we passed on overspending. What do you guys think?
Exactly, why overpay for a mediocre player? You'll just end up cutting them when they are due a bonus and have to get another player.
We still have the draft and would rather get a WR and TE with the first 2 picks. Grab a CB in the third to be the nickle and we're set.

$87,600,000, at 5k an hour.
