I had commented a few months ago about Rusty Jones. I felt his departure may have had some effect on the rash of injury's this past year. Although I got flamed for this, I still think it might be partly true. We should never had let Rusty Jones go.
Having a good trainer like rusty jones can help prevent injuries like pulled hamstrings, pulled groins, ect. Having him here wouldn't have prevented the injuries to POZ, Ko, KE, and someone like JP. No amount of injury prevention could have stopped those injuries.
No matter what trainer we had last year, we would have had a ton of players on IR.

I'm counting on them to bounce back. Hey, so far my bracket is holding up.
I should hope so, if you had a 1, 3, and 5 seed losing in the first three games, i can't imagine how bad the rest of your bracket would be.

Exactly, but sometimes the page 2 section of that website (with Hll, Jackson and my personal fave "the sports guy") is like a bad car accident, I can't help but look to see what drivel is being written this week.
i like page 2 as well, i just can't stand the drivel she spews about race. I mean an entire article about this?
I'll read stuff from the spots guy/gal, uni watch, straight cash homey, and a few others any day of the week.

Am I the only on that have Xavier going to the Elite 8? Not only that, having Kansas winning it all?
Maybe not the only one, but one of the few. The way they played in the first half is exactly why i have them losing in round 2.
-
Xavier up by 3 with 6:40 left, looking good.

At least she assigns blame to LeBron as well as Vogue. Maybe this whole NCAA coverage has me ramped up for no good reason and I'm on bit...
This type of "journalism"
Your first mistake was clicking on an article written by jemille hill, your second mistake was reading it. When has she written an article that didn't blame whitey for something?
-
Not looking good for the A-10 early.
People who had Xavier going anywhere might not be happy right now.
Hopefully they can comback, still plenty of time.
I need them to win this game.... so they can lose to purdue in round 2

Meh, Michigan isn't going to be great this year with or without him. He would have been smart to go to a school like Michigan or Oregon where he could start right away and play in the spread. But appearently that didn't appeal to him, have fun riding the bench. GO BLUE!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks she's hot. I don't know why she doesn't get more pub.
-
Lavernius Coles is better than Lee Evans by a wide margin as he is always the focus of the defense and still manages to get open.

I've seen threads debating the hottness of sandra lee, and someone claimed a chubby chick doing sooners highlights was the hottest girl he could find on the internet on a given day. I couldn't let this go any longer, THIS is a real BOTD.
Her website, look at the gallery.
This chick makes reports on video games was the token hot chick on the World Poker tour. In the future I expect BOTD candidates to be of a higher qaulity than Sandra Lee. OK, I've got that out of my system, have a nice day.

Tall enough for ya? (he's 7' 7'') He could block a few kicks. But trying to block a kick from going from inside of the endzone is illegal.
Anyone else reminded of the midget RB thread? Now there's the tragedy of losing all of the info from the past year. That thread was a thing of beauty.

He will get traded to Philadelphia.

Pats* 13-3
Bills 10-6
Jests 6-10
phish 5-11
You don't win games in the offseason, the jets signed a bunch of old name players. And they still don't have a QB, their Wr's don't scare anyone, T. Jones isn't exactly a gamebreaker, Mangina is terrible, i could go on forever.
The phish will get better, but you don't go from 1-15 to playoff contender in 1 offseason.
The bills will be getting a few starters back from injury, a few nice additions in the draft, as well as our FA aquisitions. With the easier schedule, and Trent in year 2, i like our chances.
And the Pats* are the Pats*.
-
So let me get this straight, teams that pick early in the draft suck. ALERT THE PRESSES!!!!!

I asked emmit and here's what he said:
Don't try to use thurman as an escape goat, the team who have more points will win a game, the superbowl have no differnt, so if I wasn't in the feel of play in the cowboys, is the game have been play, the winner will be vicarious.
-
Why would anyone want to do defense? Can we just ignore the fact that we scored like 11 touchdowns last year?
But the Giants beat the pats* last year, we MUST over-react and select nothing but d linemen. Offence is meaningless. Despite the fact that the giants Used high picks on Jacobs, S. Smith, E. manning, Shockey, and spent a boatload of money on Plax.....
-
Us having Emmitt and them Thurman? I think things wouldn't have changed much at all. It wouldn't have made Jeff Wright suited to play NT in a 3-4 defense. He could have been great in a 4-3 as an under tackle, but that doesn't matter now. Aside form the First half of the final superbowl, our defense got pushed around by bigger offensive lines.
Emmitt couldn't possibly been any better than Thurman in SB XXV, and he wouldn't have done much in the other three either. Both were great backs.
No, I meant we would of had Emmit, and some other team would've gotten thurman (not the cowboys).
Emmit was a different type of back, Thurman was a perfect fit for us. Emmit was great, I just don't think we would have been as good with him. And the cowboys definately wouldn't have been as good with whatever scrub they got to play RB.
-
You miss part of the point...
The Cowboys would not have been as good..... It is not a Thurman vs Smith argument but would it hurt the Cowboys enough to cost them the two Superbowls?
I hadn't thought about it from that standpoint. The cowboys would have been worse, but i feel we would have been as well. The cowboys might not have been in as many superbowls, but niether would we. And the team that would've gotten Thurman would've become better, possibly hurting our chances in the playoffs/superbowl.
Too many variables to know what would have happened, I'm just glad we had TT on our team.
-
Thats cool.
I think we would have won 3 Superbowls personally but whatever.
I was being sarcastic. As for the actual topic, Thurman was the perfect back for our offense. He could run the ball, catch the ball, block, and whatever else you needed. Having Emmit instead of Thurman wouldn't of helped this team IMO.
-
Would you have rather I started a Bryant Johnson thread?
Or a JP vs Edwards thread?
Yes, a JP vs Edwards thread would be MUCH better than this. Muuuuuuuuuuuch better.
I'll get it started, JP sucks, long live Edwards.

Thomas wasnt exactly lighting up the league when he went over to the dolphins. They were/are both at the tailends of their careers trying to get one last paycheck.
yea, but Thurman was a future HOF'er, Brown is a future janitor. not even close.

thats TBD posters, not the Front Office
The Front Office piles into Ralphs Taurus and go to the Country Corner Buffet for the Early, Early Bird Special where they use their Half price coupons ontop of the seniors discount for extra Tapiocca
Thanks for clearing that up.

RIP. Never saw him play, but always sad to see a former Bill pass away.
