  1. Just listened. EJ sounded good as always. Very upbeat, very polished. Talked a bit about his studying of Russell Wilson's movement in the pocket, how to avoid pass rushers while keeping his eyes down field. That was one of his biggest weaknesses last season, and it's nice to hear that he is making it a focus this off-season. Also touched on the Marrone cancerous mole issue - said that DM brought it up to him personally when he came into town earlier this week, and he knows that DM will fight through it and didn't seem to think it was going to be an issue moving forward. Good little interview.

  2. In my opinion? No.

I also think it's worth putting the word out that they LOVE Donald, to entice someone like Chicago or Dallas to move up in front of us and get him...

Yep, 9 is definitely not too high for Aaron Donald. He could even be gone before us. If Clowney, Mack, Watkins, Robinson, Matthews and Evans are gone (My top-6 players), I'm all about taking Aaron Donald at #9 if he is there.. He's the 7th best player in the draft to me. Our defensive line would be NASTY.

  3. Making a trip to Florida next month... Starting in St. Pete for a day or two, heading to Bonita Springs to stay in the Coconut Point Hyatt which is supposedly out of this world and then driving down to Miami for a few days. Much needed. Haven't been down to Florida in a few years.

  4. Gay or not Sam is a college player and not an NFL guy. He is too slow to play LB and too small to play DE. He doesn't even translate well into a special teams player. I think he gets drafted in the 6th or 7th round with someone's compensatory pick. Probably play Strong side OLB in a 3-4 like Green Bay or 4-3 DE with the Giants or Baltimore.

This. I can't remember a worse football player winning SEC Defensive Player of the Year. I'm an SEC guy. He was about the 4th best player on that defense.

  5. Wow that is pretty good. We have a work office pool that gets pretty big, I think 140 people went in last year. It is $20. I have been in it for the 16 years I have worked here never came into the money althoughI did get into the final 4 in 2003 & I needed Texas to beat Syracuse to win the whole thing in the Semis. Serves me right for picking against my alma mater. It always amazes at the lack of interest college basketball generates around this area. The NCAA Tournament is truly the greatest sporting event of the year. Buffalo is hosting this weekends games. On the drive in today the morning show on GR not one caller or morning host even mentioned the tournament. Then I turned on satelite radio & espn, fox etc.. all they did was talk about the tournament. Maybe if some of the local colleges were better. GR was talking about some of the reasons why Nolan has not agreed to sign the contract. I mean honestly this time of year & that is the best topic could come up with? It makes me sick.

Lt Dan, a fellow degenerate like yourself is always welcome to stop by!!! 43 Spruceland Terrace, Lancaster, the party goes all night.

I appreciate the offer my friend. I'll PM you when I know what my schedule is looking like for Friday. And yes, "fellow degenerate" would be accurate  .

  6. It's not that I'm against it. I just think he's a very limited player and we need to keep that in mind. This is not a terrible signing, but it's not a significant signing at all (at least in my opinion). Also, previous Bills' pickups from the Belichik scrapheap haven't worked out so well - Mark Anderson and Bledsoe.

Ugh. And here I thought your Posluzny point was an apples-to-oranges argument...

  7. I found this quote interesting:

"Spikes is a force in run defense, however. ProFootballFocus.com has Spikes graded as its sixth-best middle/inside linebacker this season, and the best at his position when it comes to stopping the run: His grade for the season of plus-13.2 against the run is nearly six points better than the Panthers’ Luke Kuechly, whose plus-7.5 ranks second."

Any people trying to make the "Poz is better argument" should just read this.

  8. A bunch of factors. Alex took it to him with a bunch of mispronunciation catches. The two women he went against were quick with their buzzers. He also went for a true daily double midway through double jeopardy and lost it all. Then he missed the final question and lost it all again. He had no chance at that point because the winner got it right and he couldn't have caught up.

All this. And the categories yesterday sucked...
