  1. By mid season everyone bashing giving away that 1st rounder will be talking about what a absolute genious Doug Whaley is....

and the funny thing is they will soley focus on it when he did so many other smart moves in free agency and draft

    - What 6th rounder will give us the production of Mike Williams?

    - The trade to get bryce brown

    - MOVING BACK in the 2nd round....picking up a pick....and still netting Cujo who will be a fixture at RT for us

    - Taking the low risk chance on Sentrel

    - Picking up Cyrus in the 5th

    - Spikes

Yep. And Corey Graham. That was my favorite signing of them all. Kid is going to be our starting FS, and he can do it.

  2. Chris Borland, the linebacker out of Wiscy can play. Would be good value in the 3rd would be great value.

Jaylen Watkins CB from Florida. Some off the field red flags, but I saw him shut down some good WRs in the SEC and he is willing against the run.

My favorite quarterback in the later rounds is Aaron Murray. Another SEC guy. Kid is tough as nails and seemed to be capable of making all the throws against the best competition in the country. Good leader. Not ideal size, but bigger than a lot of guys who have been very successful in this league.

... God I can't wait til tomorrow. Or the weekend picks. If we somehow get Sammy Watkins, the rest is going to be gravy for me, though.

  3. I agree with some of what you say her Lt Dan. I am not convinced that Ebron is worthy of a #9 over all either. In my earlier posts I actually said that I thought we would trade down and pick up Ebron in the pick 15 or 16 area. I also agree with you on Cordy. He is definitely a stud player and he will get better yet and we could pick up a quality OT in the 2nd or even the 3rd rounds. I am also with you on the QB situation with the "ask me again after the season" quote. He has talent for sure. Arm strength, fast with his feet and he's smart. I just want to see it come together this year for him to be convinced he's the guy. But here is where we start to differ in opinion. Bradham is an unknown still. He has talent for sure, but i don't think he's in the top level LB. As for Spikes, there is nothing to prove that he is anything more than a 3rd down rusher and instead of the 3 down lb that we need. As for the DT, Dareus is looking at possibly being suspended for 4 games with his arrest, and Allen Branch is almost 30 and a mid level guy at best. Only 8 sacks in his career.

Everyone is entitled to opinion and everyone has one. FWIW, this is mine. I am not a Football expert by any means, like many of you I just love football.

 Spikes is actually the exact opposite of what you described... Enjoy the draft!

  4. Not that many holes? TE, OT, LB, DT, and many would argue QB. Not me as of yet, but many would. That is 4 possibly 5 depending on your view point. Then add WR as many claim is also a hole. That makes 5 possibly 6 roster spots that we are missing key players. I call that a lot of holes.

Ramius, you are correct. Just because I myself or any other person on this board say there are a lot of holes to fill, it doesn't mean the Bills organization believes that this is the case. But it also doesn't mean their right.

    Well said All Pro!

I'll address each position you mentioned...

Tight End - One of the few holes I believe they have. However, I don't think Ebron is worth the #9 overall pick, especially since you can get a quality tight end like ASJ, Amaro or Niklas in the 2nd round.

Offensive Tackle - Maybe. Cordy Glenn is already a top-10 LT in the league and I only think he is going to get better. We could obviously use an upgrade at RT, but you can get one in the later rounds. Marrone is supposedly an offensive line-guru. If we believe this to be true, then he should be able to make a solid starter out of a mid-round pick.

Linebacker - We already have Alonso, Spikes, Bradham and Manny Lawson. I wouldn't consider the position a major need.

Defensive Tackle - Kyle Williams, Dareus, Allen Branch, Corbin Bryant. Not a hole at all.

Quarterback - Ask me after the season. EJ showed enough under very difficult circumstances with injuries, lack of practice time, etc. that I don't think you can consider the position a true need until you see a full (hopefully) season this year.

  5. To everyone claiming the Bills"have too many holes to move up," just because you believe that doesnt mean the Bills believe it.

Also, theres something to be said about acquiring superstars as opposed to just "starters." This team has lacked star power for a long time.

Well said. There really aren't that many holes on this team right now...

  6. Banana Peppers stuffed with ricotta, asiago, bread crumbs and shredded basil

Almond Crusted Jumbo Shrimp w/ a remoulade sauce

    Caesar Salad

Seared Scallops with a wild mushroom risotto and arugula

Two big glasses of a nice Argentinean Malbec

    Cannoli

  7. Bama/SEC fan here, so I've seen a lot of Jeremy Hill the last couple years. He's a good back. Not too flashy, but very solid in every area, so I guess I can see the FJ comp because that's always been his M.O. as well. He can really catch the ball for a big back and saw him hold up well in pass protection. Maybe not great straight-line speed, but there's some wiggle to his game. He's a top-3 back in this draft for me along with Hyde and Isaah Crowell, but that isn't saying much because this RB class is pretty damn weak, IMO.

  8. This is the guy I want if we stay put at #9. My first choice is to trade up for Watkins, but if we stay put and Sammy and Evans are gone, you take BPA. If Donald is still there at #9, he is easily the BPA. I'd much rather have him than Eric Ebron or any tackle not named Greg Robinson.

  9. No...I'd probably stay put and pick Aaron Donald

Yep. If that top-8 happens and we stay put and take Mosley over Aaron Donald I will set myself on fire. And I'm a huge Bama fan.

Also, for the people that are asking, Sammy Watkins is THAT good. He will be a top-5 WR in the league for a decade. He may be "only" a shade under 6'1, but he can jump through the roof, has the best hands of any WR to come out since AJ Green, and is the best after the catch that I can remember. Not to mention he is a great kid and incredibly hard worker by all accounts. Sammy is the real deal.
