  1. Another misguided statement. Why are you skeptical about defensive players coming out of UT?

You know I'm more skeptic, on who you want from free agent, and the draft. 1st Greg Hardy is going back to ole miss, and Kerry Collins said yesterday, that he wants to stay the starter in Tennessee, over your boy Vince Young, who I've met is a down to earth guy, but compared to Texas and the U of sending players to the NFL, The Miami Hurricanes have sent outstanding, NFL players for years. But looking at other schools, with Texas, Florida and Ohio St. Haven't had much success, sending players to the NFL either.

  2. I'm a little skeptic with defensive players, coming out of the university of Texas, or any player coming out of that school. But it will all determine what he does in the combine. I think Everette Brown will probably be the better fit, But it will depend on what our front office, will decide to do i.e. Donte Whitner in 2006? But he's been better than the player, that was taken before him at the same position Michael Huff. Also out of Texas, so maybe Orakpo won't fall to us, I say he'll either go to Green Bay or San Fran.

  3. Its a great idea in theory--hard nosed ex-Bill comes home. Would love for him to come here and succeed. Problem is I just dont think he is a very good coach.

Who's our Head Coach now? Oh yeah Dick Jauron, He was an Ex Safety for the bills. But I don't want skelator number 2 in Buffalo.

  4. foolish comments, anyone with half a brain and knows anything about this game knows its impossible to label any player a bust after one year get real.

impossible to call a bust after 1 year eh? o.k. Ryan Leaf 2nd overall selection 1998 draft, bust. 2002 WR Charles Rodgers 2nd overall pick bust, 2004 WR Reggie Williams Jacksonville Jaguars bust, 2005 QB Alex Smith Bust, 2005 Mike Williams bust, all became busts after 1st two seasons.

  5. It could go either way, But I stand with my selection, I liked what I saw out of Derek Fine, and Steve Johnson and Reggie Corner, all 3 were late bloomers, but I saw a lot of great things from the 3. Like Chris Brown said Steve Johnson had 10 catches for less than a 100 yards and 2 TD, is not something to be too impressed about, but could possibly move up in the depth chart in the next couple of years. Reggie Corner is a early nickel option, and Leodis could rotate with either Terrence McGee or Jabari Greer if re-signed. Derek Fine I liked what I saw from him, I like Shouman a 2007 draft pick, but he's definitely a good back up tight end.

  6. Now that the season is over, who do you think is the Gem of the 2008 Draft, we didn't see much of Demitrious Butler, Chris Ellis was put on IR, James Hardy put on IR, Steve Johnson came around late, Alvin Bowen was put on IR, in training camp. Derek Fine was a stud, Leodis McKelvin was a great returner, and Xavier Omon didn't do much.

Gem of the 2008 draft: Reggie Corner

Stud of 2008 draft: Derek Fine

Showed Potential from 2008 Draft: Leodis McKelvin, and Steve Johnson

Busts of 2008 draft: James Hardy, Chris Ellis

I don't wanna say James Hardy to be a bust, because we didn't use him for what we drafted him to be. A red zone threat, but he did let a lot of balls go by him, and he dropped several easy passes, got a lot of work to do in 09. Chris Ellis i didn't see much out of him.

  7. Keepers: Jabari Greer, John Papa DiGiorgio, Angelo Crowell, Fred Jackson, and George Wilson, Keith Ellison

Gone: Losman obviously, Duke Preston, Kirk Chambers.

I think we need to keep Jabari Greer, to help Leodis McKelvin develop into a better Corner Back, then he did. I see a lot of potential in Leodis McKelvin, but he was slow to develop this year.

  8. Mock Draft 2009: Send this to the Bills Personnel Dept.

You rebuild the offense/Defensive lines and this team wins 3-4 more games next year. I should be the G.M. I would need (2) more drafts and F/A to get the bills on track! RF.

Hey Tom Donohoe, remember the last time we took a offensive lineman, in the 1st round in the draft? He's not even in the league anymore. If Jermaine Gresham declares for the draft, I'll draft him 1st round pick, case closed. He's projected to be the next Jason Witten, who is the best Tight End in the league today.

  9. Wouldn't taking Favre off the Jets help the Jets?

Think of the Bills without clean up the city boy or the glove wearing Mary.

who knows what can help the jets, shaun ellis was the so called hero against the bills after picking up a fumble, from the lostman and return it to the end zone, and looked like a zero the following week, for throwing a big chunk of snow at the sea hawks fans in Seattle. So I don't know what will ever help the jets. Oh yeah maybe drafting there own players, instead of spending $100 million dollars for free agents, that could help also.

  10. I've actually got a pretty good Kurt Warner story for y'all.

So when Kurt was playing for the Giants, and when I was but a lowly college lad going to Siena in Upstate New York, a bunch of friends and I wanted to get together and go heckle Kurt Warner during training camp in Albany. No real reason to heckle, just figured the way the media blew Kurt Warner he deserved a good heckling.

Anywho, we get together, pile in my 1990 Honda Accord (complete with faded Bills bumper stickers which held the car together nicely) and went on down to UAlbany's campus. We surge out of the car and run to the fence that runs along the field, all ready to yell at Kurt when he comes off the field.

Finally...our moment comes. He's about a few feet in front of us and we get all charged up with some of the best Iowa Barnstormer lines you've ever heard when...

...he kneels in front of a group of handicapped children who came to the practice and asked them "Would you all mind if I sit and pray with you for awhile?"

Needless to say, the walk back to the car was a walk of shame.

OK! Well I got another story about Kurt Warner, he nearly cost me my year in fantasy football, when he said he wanted to retire after what happen to Boldin against the jets, and I had Ben Roethlisberger, who was playing like crap at the time.

  11. It's always interesting to see Kurt Warner play well, he did it in his days with the rams, and now with the the cards. I think Boldin and Fitzgerald, hands down probably the best 1 and 2 WR duo's in the League, but it'll probably split within the next couple of years. It'll be tough to pay 2 high profile Wide Outs, but he had 2 high profile Wide Outs with the rams, and he knows what to do with great wide outs. I had Kurt Warner on my fantasy team this year. But I like the option that the cards have with Breaston also. I'll be happy if Kurt Warner leads the cards over the eagles to the super bowl against steelers/ravens

  12. The NFL is probably the worst covered sport in today's sporting event, the only network that's probably the best coverage for the NFL is fox, other than that I can't take CBS's coverage for bills games, but with Cris Carter, I say the dumbest man on that show, is the man sitting next to him, and that's sheshawn johnson. I think Cris Carter is decent, but I'd take listening to Cris Carter over Sheshawn anyday of the week. I think they should take Mike Tarico, Jaws and Tony Kornheiser out, from MNF, and bring in a new cast, Mike Tarico I don't mind him calling NBA games he's good, but jaws is pretty annoying, all he talks about is his good ol days in philly, and Tony Kronhieser always asks for Jaws's opinion on every thing he says. I say just leave T.J. and Boomer in the studio for the whole year, and put Steve Young and Emmitt Smith to call the games on ESPN.

  13. I hope there will be a tie, in the cardinals and eagles game, maybe neither team would make the super bowl. How stupid do you really gotta be to know that there are ties in the NFL, in the regular season. The last tie before the bungholes and the eagles game was falcons vs steelers in 02. Yes McNabb there's no tie in the playoffs, don't worry a team does advance to the super bowl.

  14. I'm being sarcastic, I'm just saying that eagles fans were blasting Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb after one F*cking game, to be out of that city, I'm just saying how could they even forgive them selves for that. I know that Dick Jauron's been for the last 3 years. Granted I'm not a fan of Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb my self, but they've done it for over ten years.

  15. If so, bring him in and name him the starter. Let Trent learn behind him for a year and see where Kerry takes us. Why not? He would instantly make us better for next year. Jeff Fisher has 100% full confidence in this guy and says he has a lot left in the tank. He would have MUCH better WR's here to work with, draft/sign a TE and C, we would be looking good.

*Forgot to mention, I am a BIG Trent supporter...I just think we need a good veteran in here to teach Trent some things.

How much does Kerry Collins have left in the Tank? maybe a 6 pack of budweiser, 2 shots of jaeger bombs, a shot of tequila.

  16. Weren't the eagles fans just slamming, Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid a little over a month ago, to be out of the Philadelphia area for good? And they're in the one game away to being in the super bowl? unbelievable. I got an idea lets slam jauron and edwards, maybe we could be in the afc championship game next year. eagles fans really :( me off!

  17. I think that the NFL will not open with New England at Indy, because they will want this always titanic matchup to be set for midseason to amp up the hype of what will probably be a huge game between two of the best in the league. Both teams playing well going against each other in the second half of the season is a huge ratings booster for a Sunday nighter say in Mid-November.

I see New Orleans at Indy opening night. Lots of story lines, two very good teams.

why? when the patriots beat the colts in the afc championship game in 03 they played them on the home opener in 04, so why not this season in indy i hope its in indy this time they played way to many games at foxboro stadium in the last 4 seasons
