As I remember it, Kelly had a decent season in '96 and wanted to go one more year but couldn't talk Kent Hull out of retiring so he left too. He said he'd get killed without Hull, etc. -
The Sox won't win the AL East but they will make the playoffs and may even face the skankees again.

Hardly...... And if it makes you feel good that George can spend 2-3-4 times other teams to essentialy buy championships so be it. IMO, the Crankees have NEVER played on an even playing field with everyone else & thats a reason to not like them. Nothing to do with Mets, RedSox, Card, Dodgers, Bisons or any other team. It's like a heavyweight boxer fighting a flyweight .

Oaklands defense isn't too shabby.... they've given up 240.0 ypg (4th in the NFL) vs 299 ypg (12th) for the Jags. (After the 1st 2 games) - We sit @ #6 with 249 ypg.
