  1. You still haven't addressed why it's a good idea to throw loads of money at Matt Cassel...
  2. Again, you are following the flawed logic that has consumed this team for the past ten years. There are not many Franchise QB's in this league as it is yet you want to discard every guy after 20 or so starts if they don't "look like a franchise QB". That's not how you build a team.
  3. Yeah that is very annoying...so God doesn't like the other team as much?
  4. I wouldn't worry...esp. if they franchise Cassel, they won't be very active in the first few weeks of free agency.
  5. I was on the fence about who I wanted to win this game until I saw Willis in that little opening package. I'm all set with him going to the Super Bowl, regardless if he is just the 2nd best RB on the team.
  6. OK...this is the problem I have with the whole argument and the premise of the thread as a whole...you want to give up on Trent yet you want to throw loads of money at a guy who has played one season on a Bill Belichick/Josh McDaniels coached team with Randy Moss and Wes Welker to throw to and the Pats O-Line blocking for him, with the easiest schedule in the NFL. I'll take a Kerry Collins or somewhat like that 100 times before I throw so much money at an unproven entity like Cassel.
  7. Well played...
  8. I'm pretty sure that guy's name was Brad Cieslak.
  9. You are exaggerating his ineffectiveness. At no point did he comes close to the horribleness of J.P. Losman. Even in the Cleveland game he wasn't as erratic as J.P. is on his best day and came back strong in the second half. If the offense was tailored around Jackson and Lynch, I don't see any reason why he can't be an adequate starter with a veteran backing him up. Honestly if you take out the three game AFC East stretch plus the first half of Cleveland I'm sure that the stats are going to look all that bad. He didn't look even as close to as bad as you try to claim he did in our wins and he didn't look as bad in the late losses as he did in the middle ones. Center, Defensive End, Tight End, Wide Receiver, Guard, Fullback, Linebacker, Safety, Defensive tackle are all higher priorities in my book.
  10. This guy is money...where did he come from?
  11. Yeah...this one is definitely going down to the wire...AZ gets in so Philly needs a TD...helluva game.
  12. Why put resources into a position that is in not as dire a need as others? It's bad management.
  13. OK...I'll talk about the football side even though I know the same thing has been said already in this thread...name one thing from our coaching staff or front office that has indicated that they have any intention of not being 100% behind Trent Edwards? I mean, you could even argue that Trent was the main reason that the same coaching staff was put in place. There is nothing that supports that the Bills are prepared to move on in regards to Trent besides what you have posted in this thread. That is why so many people find it hard to believe.
  14. Hey Skooby...how about your boy Cromartie on that one?
  15. Man, the Philly D-Line is absolutely bringing it in the 2nd half...
  16. Either that or he knows he's close to a sale or death and will let someone else blow it up and start over...
  17. I started a thread last week about possibly bringing in L.J. Smith...well, with the way Celek is playing it certainly looks like L.J. will be changing colors this offseason.
  18. Not sure...I'll go type in "Chunky Soup Commercials".
  19. Donovan's mom is in show business as well...
  20. Uh-oh, Gandy is starting to look like he might have forgotten he doesn't have that Bills uni on anymore.
  21. His foot was clearly out of bounds when the ball kicked back and and may or may not have hit him...not sure which play you were watching.
  22. I'm not saying I don't believe you dude. I'm saying I don't believe what she said, or more likely, she was misinformed...why would the Pats be worried about a three year deal from the Bills if he is likely to get longer, more lucrative offers from other clubs. Makes no sense.
  23. Why would you name the thread with "seasoned QB" in the title and then proceed to throw blame on an unseasoned QB? Maybe Trent needs a little more seasoning and then he can be a "seasoned QB who is able to react to blitz & pressure" no?
  24. Yup, that was the old "David Patten, knocked out cold on the sidelines yet still recovers a fumble because his lifeless body was half out of bounds and touching the ball" rule. I'm pretty srue I know all of the obscure rules since it seems that at one point or another, the Bills were screwed by them.
