wow hes in a mental hospital now. prayers with
you James. i still remember you and the joy you brought me in a win at jacksonville.
Hopefully he gets the help he needs.

He wasn't good at football.

Point 7 is somewhat interesting, in the context you provide.
Of course, it suggests that either (a) marrone has the owner's ear or, (b) marrone is trying to get the owner's ear, and either way, (c ) Marrone is running and end-run around Whaley.
In a normal chain of command, Marrone's first and only call should be directly to Whaley. Because its not a coaching emergency, its an organizational emergency. Its not like Orton broke a leg right before the next game. Calling, texting, informing, etc. is Not a coach's job.
---
The thought of Whaley being ousted makes me sick. Honestly, he kind of seems like a guy who believes in Merit over politics and is staying above the fray. I like Marrone a little less now (mostly because I dont like politicking)
That stood out to me as well.
Another point that I vaguely remember. Marrone said something about himself, Whaley and Russ will have a discussion about a personnel decision..but I thought russ was out of that now?

Hummm. Seems like just the player we saw this year--a 21 year old rookie who was overwhelmed by the big stage.
BTW, the operative phase here is 21-year old.
Seems to me we have a pro bowl DT who fit that description a few years ago...one who many TSW pundits labled a 'bust' after his second year (let alone his first).
How'd those pronostications work out, fellas?
These are really young guys who are making a major jump. We all have too many conclusions to their outcome, way too soon.
-
Marrone is clearly angling for something, probably more money and who knows what else. The opt out in Marrone's contract was leaked on purpose. If this is true, forget about Hackett getting fired. If Marrone really has the leverage, he will not have to make any changes to his staff unless he wants to, and the only member of the front office in real danger is Whaley. Marrone's stock is up and Whaley's is down. Whether this is fair, it is difficult to say.
Very short term leverage

Sounds like he truly isn't fast enough for the NFL.
Craziest part about him was that he talked about being a soccer player.. What soccer position can't move?
-
two dougs enter, one doug leaves.
Maybe our new stadium can be the thunderdome
-
It's been a power struggle between the dougs. I've wondered if they coexist in 2015- and it looks like marrones winning at the moment
Curious.. Where do you see he's winning, or anything definitive that there's even a struggle?

4th rounders usually don't play right away on talented teams. (our D is)
Let him develop into a quality reserve or surprise us and be a starter. No need to worry or rush it.

Rex Ryan wasn't successful in NY, but Sanchez was?
Rex Ryan is nothing without Mark Sanchez.
With sanchez 2 AFC champ games.
Without sanchez... NOTHING
-
It looks like a rude awakening for him to have linebackers close on him that fast.

How many years is this kid going to be in college?
Van Kelly
-
I heard his comments made at the end of his presser.
He was just goofing around, but it does show some insight into his mentality.
A bit.
I wouldn't read too much into this.
To me, when the camera shows him on the sideline of the games, he looks like a man heading for the firing line, and he knows it.
We'll see if I'm right.
I dont get that feel from him. I usually get a sorta uncomfortable(cant expain it better) feeling watching a lame duck coach.
I'm not stuck with that idiot. If he is the coach next year and Hackett is his OC and Orton is still possibly the starting QB.....I'm not gonna watch this trainwreck. I have better things to do than watch these cluess clowns anymore.
This year has been the first sliver of positive light thats hit this team in a decade. Even a chance to land the playoffs this time of year is something.
I agree the O needs sweeping changes. I'm not sure id flush and reboot this year.

I was going to ask who were the best comp picks ever.. But google answered. #1 = vomit

Rodgers might have been a bust if forced to start right away on a weak bills squad.
-
Cleveland apparently has an all-world team.
-
Have you ever listened to sports radio and heard the callers? How ridiculous and uninformed they are? This is who he is catering to. If its not you, move on.
-
The play where he tried to jump a defender?
-
Has a coach ever lasted to see 3 different GMs?
-
Marino had a good head for the game but what set him apart was his release. That's not something he can teach it was just a talent.
-
Can't have enough talented strippers
-
Do you know who his agent is, and his history with the Bills?
I don't. Who else did he represent?
-
How do you know his agent has a fragile psyche? And when was he allowed in locker room. Mike Williams did not request trade.
You really believe his agent did that without ever talking to his client?
