  1. I heard his comments made at the end of his presser.

He was just goofing around, but it does show some insight into his mentality.

    A bit.

I wouldn't read too much into this.

To me, when the camera shows him on the sideline of the games, he looks like a man heading for the firing line, and he knows it.

    We'll see if I'm right.

I dont get that feel from him. I usually get a sorta uncomfortable(cant expain it better) feeling watching a lame duck coach.

I'm not stuck with that idiot. If he is the coach next year and Hackett is his OC and Orton is still possibly the starting QB.....I'm not gonna watch this trainwreck. I have better things to do than watch these cluess clowns anymore.

This year has been the first sliver of positive light thats hit this team in a decade. Even a chance to land the playoffs this time of year is something.

I agree the O needs sweeping changes. I'm not sure id flush and reboot this year.

  2. he means there nothing outside the norm was done to hurt MW's reputation. Their was nothing announced outside of what the league requirements say.

I concur and I think that their is a personality conflict with Urbik mostly because he is one of the five best linemen we have

    Rudy! Rudy!

who knows whats going on there. thats more than a benching. I can't believe with the issues we've had there and the effort to fix(moving pears of all people) that we haven't given him a shot.

he was never allpro but he was definitely serviceable in the past.

it may not be his style with every player, because a good coach has to figure out how to motivate each player as differently as each person is. I do think it was a motivation tactic with MW.

Yes, all coaches should tailor they're tactics per player personality, but I feel he used a similar tactic with both.

  3. I didn't want to start a thread and couldn't find a more appropriate place to ask this... But does anyone think Marrone's coaching style is to bench or demote a player to motivate them?

I think about woods from preseason being a 2nd teamer, then Mike williams being benched. Perhaps it's to light a fire under his ass?

  4. Got it. Agree. I'm sure he will put a few people in there that are his guys, and evaluate the team. I'm also sure he is going to keep Brandon and Whaley, and likely Marrone unless we tank badly, which doesn't look like it will happen.

He is a fan. Most fans of the Bills see a clear difference in the team over the last two years. I think it's glaringly obvious. Others don't but I think most Bills fans think Brandon and Whaley are doing well in their respective jobs since they got those jobs. It looks like Pegula does, too.

Yep. I feel the pegulas are going to lean on russ heavily to help them acclimate to ownership. After that I can't see them dumping him. They will likely keep him in a prominent roll with the franchise.

  5. Off the top of my head, Steve Young, Aikman, Rodgers (didn't play his first 3 years!), Warren Moon, Matt Stafford, etc. Please look at Orton's first 2 years.

We have no patience anymore. That's been my whole point with EJ. We used to allow Qbs to develop and make mistakes. Now everything is overreacting after every game. Quarterback is the hardest position to learn in sports.

    Add Eli to that
