  1. When I eat bread and cheese, or read posts like this, I get clogged up
  2. Great times to be a Bills fan! We all do deserve this exposure for once. Me being a old Bills fan suffering through the 70's 80's and post 90 era... I must say, I was reserved at first but WOW, just wow! New owner, a young ambitious GM trying to make this work, and our staff bringing in some star power and resigning our own. THIS IS GREAT STUFF! It really is guys. I am so excited I am buying season tickets and making the drive from Pittsburgh. This is coming from a disabled man who dont leave the house! I cant wait! On the other end... How do you all think Marrone fells about all of this? I know he is collecting his paycheck from the Bills but boy, this does make him look like a jackass also! Go BILLS!! and THANK YOU!!!!
  3. Hands down the guy CAN play. But he is a locker room cancer and we dont need that. He has a VERY poor attitude towards other players and the staff there. He has been even fined for not showing up for meet and greet with fans due to his attitude. I have a lot of friends who live in Chicago and they want this guy GONE. Piss on him, we can win without him.
  4. http://phi.247sports.com/Bolt/Report-Maclin-leaving-Eagles-will-soon-sign-with-Chiefs-36073120 Hope Chip knows what he is doing. Those fans are going to hang him if he screws up!
  5. http://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/715578 Great stuff guys all around!
  6. Well since the Bills are the talk of the NFL right now, todays Mad Dog Sports summed it all up... Dolphins fan calls in and talks about the Fins and how they will pan out in FA this year. He starts talking about the division and the radio man steps right in on him. "Im sorry to tell you this but the Buffalo Bills are now the Beast In the East" Hands down The guy was quiet.. Radio guys says that Buffalo just took over that division and confidence the Bills have now will alone put the Pats in second place. He said when NE comes to Buffalo this year to play it will be a end of a era for New England. Had to share this because it had me so pumped up guy! GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. You guys got to remember that Donahoe was on a mission here to destroy Pittsburgh and take every player from them that he could. If Tom would of focused on just this team, then it may have been different
  8. honestly, who the hell cares if he wanted out or not. Guess what, he is gone... And you have no say in it. Goodbye Kiko....
  9. Well, the last couple of days proves one thing around here in TBD... A lot of us old fans do not embrace this kind of change or are use to being in the spotlight much. I am really not use to seeing the Bills being the main point of conversation in the sports world. The Bills were on ESPN Extra, ESPN, and Mad Dog Sports all day the past 2 days. I have really sat back and took a look at things instead of fighting with some people on here. The Bills GOT to make changes, this is very true. I guess only time will tell if we were right. But you got to like, for once, our front office having some balls. I will never take anything away from Mr. Wilson. I loved the man and always will speak highly for keeping our Bills here. I will always thank the family for finding us the right owner that wants the team here. But Ralph's ways were not how the NFL is today and it clearly showed guys. Lets all support our team. Doug and Rex and making waves guys, we needed this to happen. We got some good receivers, a GREAT D, and a hell of a running back (2 of them now!), not only do D's have to contend with McCoy, they got Jackson right there also! A Big O line and we got this. This will keep a lot of pressure off our weak QB situation, even if it will be weak at all. Free Agency 2015 is not even here yet guys. More to come from One Bills Drive! Go Bills!
  10. Ill stop once its stops being reported... Such as Mad Dog Sport has been slaying all day Dont make a damn difference to me what the rumor is, hes gong and you have no say in it. So move on...
  11. He was not the first to report Kiko wanted out of here. Kiko as been a headcase since high school.... Good luck to Kiko and his 2 reconstructed knees
  12. Kiko wanted out of Buffalo and he also now has 2 reconstructed knees... Goodbye
  13. Our QB situation sucks... It has since Jimbo hung up the boots. We can recover from this... We just traded Kiko. OK, I loved the kid and feel he was a steal in the draft. But we just traded a guy who is still recovering from his SECOND major ACL surgery. Not one folks.... SECOND! Both of his knees have been a issue since high school. Im sorry if some feel mad about this, he has a ton of talent but those knees will come back to haunt him. We have no idea what we lost in this trade but we GAINED a proven superstar who can change this non playoff issue around very quick... Now... Hughes, we need him here in Buffalo. PERIOD.. We cant lose both and Searcy too.... Back to the QB situation. Bring Sanchez in (I did say that), we dont need a superstar QB and he is a lot better than that coward Orton. I have never in my life seen somebody so afraid of taking a hit. The guys can play under the right system and with some players around him. We have a good QB coach. EJ may prove us wrong but we need some insurance and Sanchez can give us something a little better right now. O-line rehab..... Bring in a couple of guys... I like the Richie signing. This guy is going to play like a man on a mission and we need it. He is mean and I feel can get the job done out there. He dont have another chance after this. One big tight end and receiver.... We got a coach who can win guys and is not afraid to stick it out there.... Our GM is willing to make moves and sign guys! Our new owner wants to WIN and WIN NOW! Money is not a issue now. Lets embrace it and get excited! This is the first time this franchise is putting themselves out there and attitude can help win.... Go Bills!
  14. Offense Matt Schaub | QB | Oakland Raiders Salary-cap number: $5.5 million League sources said the former Raiders coaching staff favored Matt McGloinover the veteran Schaub. And Schaub would have been cut for sure had they returned. None of Schaub's $5.5 million base salary is guaranteed, so the team can easily get out of his contract. Reggie Bush | RB | Detroit Lions Salary-cap number: $5.28 million Bush has a small roster bonus ($250,000) due on March 14, but he carries a salary-cap number of just under $5.3 million. That could be looked at as too high considering the team has two other backs (Joique Bell and Theo Riddick) who figure to play prominent roles going forward. Brandon Marshall | WR | Chicago Bears Salary-cap number: $9.58 million Marshall's statistics started to drop last season before he suffered rib and lung injuries. While he turns 31 next month, Marshall is still one of the NFL's best players at his position. Some of his declining numbers could be attributed to the lack of consistency at quarterback. His $7.5 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed on March 12. Mike Wallace | WR | Miami Dolphins Salary-cap number: $12.1 million When former Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland signed Wallace to a five-year, $60 million deal with $30 million guaranteed, the contract was criticized by some NFL execs as being overpriced. However, at that time, Wallace was one of the NFL's best deep threats at wide receiver. Now he has been almost reduced to possession receiver status. Exactly $3 million of his $9.85 million base salary is fully guaranteed, but the team could designate him as a post-June 1 release and save nearly $7 million in cap space should it decide to cut him. Some execs believe WRs Brian Hartline($7.35 million) and Brandon Gibson ($4.26 million) could be targeted to lower their cap numbers. Dwayne Bowe | WR | Kansas City Chiefs Salary-cap number: $14 million Bowe, who did not score a touchdown during the 2014 season, likely will be targeted for a pay cut if he's not released prior to the start of free agency on March 10. Moreover, $1.5 million of his base salary is fully guaranteed even if he's not on the roster, but the Chiefs can save more than $9 million by designating him as a post-June 1 release. Marques Colston | WR |New Orleans Saints Salary-cap number: $9.7 million Colston will go down as one of the best draft picks in Saints history based on his outstanding production. However, the seventh-round pick in the 2006 draft turns 32 in June and carries a big salary-cap number, which could force New Orleans to approach him to lower it. Veteran inside linebacker David Hawthorne also could be targeted for a pay reduction due to his $6.01 million cap number. Marcedes Lewis | TE | Jacksonville Jaguars Salary-cap number: $8.2 million A source said that Lewis will either get a pay cut or will be released prior to March 10. The Jaguars have the most projected salary-cap space in the NFL (more than $60 million), so targeting him for a reduction in pay would be due mostly to his age (turns 31 in May) and declining stats. Anthony Collins | LT | Tampa Bay Buccaneers Salary-cap number: $6 million The signing of Collins last season was a no-brainer since he was coming off his best season with the Bengals in 2013. However, he wound up losing his starting job with the Buccaneers to Demar Dotson, who moved over from right tackle. Collins has $3 million of his $6 million base salary fully guaranteed even if he's not on the roster. And the remaining $3 million becomes fully guaranteed on March 12. Jahri Evans | G | New Orleans Saints Salary-cap number: $11 million If you asked me before last season if Evans should take a pay reduction, I would have told you that there was no way. However, the veteran interior offensive lineman turns 32 in August and carries a high cap number. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that the team is considering a pay cut, restructuring for Evans or even a release. The Saints, in recent years, have continued to restructure deals by pushing cap numbers higher for future seasons, which will eventually catch up to them. They are currently well over the projected $143 million salary-cap limit. Defense Haloti Ngata | DT | Baltimore Ravens Salary-cap number: $16 million ESPN's Ed Werder reported that the Ravens have offered Ngata an extension. So the team clearly wants to keep him a while longer. However, not on that enormous cap number for 2015. By extending his contract past this season, they could take his $8.5 million base salary and convert that to a signing bonus, which is fully guaranteed. Trent Cole | DE | Philadelphia Eagles Salary-cap number: $11.63 million The veteran pass-rusher deserves to end his career as an Eagle based on his consistent production since his rookie season in 2005. However, given his age (he turns 33 in October), the Eagles may believe that his cap number is too high. While league sources said the team didn't address his contract during the NFL combine, they are expected to do so before the start of free agency. Another veteran who could be targeted for a pay cut is CB Cary Williams ($8.17 million cap number). Arthur Jones | DE | Indianapolis Colts Salary-cap number: $7.1 million Jones, in his first season with the Colts, missed seven games due to a high ankle sprain. He showed some serious toughness by trying to play through the injury, but he clearly wasn't himself last season. His $6 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed on March 14. The Colts are in excellent cap shape, so they don't need to cut him in order to save space. It comes down to whether they think he's worth the money. And they already cut veteran defensive lineman Ricky Jean-Francois earlier this week and have little depth left on the defensive line. LaMarr Woodley | DE | Oakland Raiders Salary-cap number: $5.19 million Woodley, at this point in his career, figures to be a part-time player who is only used in a rotation. That's why some execs believe he'll be targeted for a pay reduction should the team decide to pick up his $1 million roster bonus, which is due on March 14. Jon Beason | MLB | New York Giants Salary-cap number: $7.69 million After releasing veteran DE Mathias Kiwanuka, the Giants are in decent cap shape with more than $17 million in space. Beason has $900,000 of his $3.6 million base salary fully guaranteed, so there would be a small cap hit should they decide to cut him. He also has a $1.2 million roster bonus due on March 14. Tamba Hali | OLB | Kansas City Chiefs Salary-cap number: $11.97 million The Chiefs are in a salary-cap crunch, and if they have to use their franchise tag on OLB Justin Houston (just over $13 million), they'd be way over the projected limit of $143 million. Hali is on the final year of his contract, but 2014 first-round pick OLB Dee Ford barely contributed last season (saw only 11.5 percent of the defensive snaps). Dannell Ellerbe | LB | Miami Dolphins Salary-cap number: $9.85 million The veteran linebacker, who missed 15 games last season due to a hip injury, has $3 million of his $8.43 million base salary fully guaranteed. So even if the team decides to cut him, they'll still owe him that $3 million. And 2013 fourth-round pick Jelani Jenkins did a solid job while filling in for the injured Ellerbe.
  15. 16. Listening to Pittsburgh sports talk radio. This guy covers Steelers but gets tons of Bills news. This guy is always dead on with the Bills and knew about Orton/Rex before ESPN had the news. He is saying they contract is in the final phases and should be done by Tuesday. That is great news if holds!!!!!
  17. As long as we win then SIGN THEM ALL!!! Get Peterson too! Just win already! If a person does a crime and gets help, then dont keep punishing them. Let them prove themselves.
  18. Keep the chemistry and PAY HUGHES! We really need that guy! The best quote I have ever read about Dave Wannestadt..... From The Pittsburgh Valley Sports Team... "Dave Wannestadt could screw up a order for a black cup of coffee! I asked this guy for toast once and he asked me which side of the bread would I like toasted!"
  19. Just following up my last post about meeting him at his steak house here in Pittsburgh. Went to the filming of the Jerome Bettis Show. They introduced some of the new coordinators and got right into Big Bens contract situation. FIRST THING SAID IS BEN IS NOT GIVING A HOMETOWN DISCOUNT! Bettis said that is a fabricated word that ESPN created back when FA first started. Ben wants paid to his abilities. Everyone got into the conversation big time and said with the Rooney’s history of not wanting big contract place, Ben may walk. This may be the case with a lot of players with them. The cap is another HUGE issue for Pittsburgh again this year and Ben’s numbers do not figure well. They said Buffalo would be a huge landing spot considering they are only 2 linemen and a QB away from a SB run. Philly and Cinci were mentioned also as landing spots. Doug Marone was talked about and this was said perfectly. Do not ever expect to see Doug get a HC position in the NFL in the next 10 years if ever. 1. He has a subpar resume and not a very good record as a HC 2. Buffalo took a major gamble on him and people said it was a money move hiring him in the first place. It was said Buffalo never paid for coaching under Wilson’s helm 3. The biggest thing was he walked away from his team and quit. He has very bad personality issues with uppers to include issues at Syracuse. People say they don’t like having his around because of his mouth and wants to be in control of everything. Everyone agreed and said he will be out of the league in the next couple of years.
  20. All I can hope for is a Katy Perry titty slip at half time....
  21. http://jeromebettisgrille36.g3restaurants.com/ Website for the Grill in anyone is interested
  22. Well, one of my retirement gifts from the Navy for my wife putting up with me for 20 years was to take her to Jerome Bettis Grill in Pittsburgh. HANDS OFF A+ place to eat if any of you get into town! (the steaks are GREAT) Jerome was in and saw me sporting my Bills gear so we got to talking. We talked about Rex and Jerome said the Bills now have a attitude and will win with that. He said Rex is no slouch and will get it done in Buffalo. I asked about how he felt how close the Bills are and he said like everyone else. "QB and O-line will do it. They are Seattle in the makings if done right" He loves Bills D and thinks Hughes should be kept (I agreed with him). We also talked about Buffalos QB situation and he personally knows Whaley from his days in Pittsburgh. He said Whaley is a class act and VERY smart (he said that 3 times over). He said the reason Whaley is up there is because he can get things done. He also said No way they would of landed Rex without a plan for a QB to step in. Jerome said "watch the trade wire and you will see how smart that man is" I hope so! He was fantastic and gave me a 8 X 10 signed of him! I refused a military discount (I always do, I dont believe in handouts or freebees for my service) We were invited next week to come in when they do the Jerome Bettis show and got passes for it! I cant wait!
  23. Today I punch clock on 20 years of Naval Service. Very hard today to ingest all the things I've been through with having 28 surgeries the past 5 years. I've been crying since I Signed my DD 214. there's a lot of people on this website who looked after me through the years. there's people on here who sent me out care packages when I was deployed, there's people here that sent me cards also when I was in the hospital. I thank you all for your support and everything else thanks to the administrators for having this website. Out of all the other football websites out there this is truly the best one, I don't say that because I'm a Bills fan I say that because friends of mine who have seen the site that are fans of other teams say so themselves. Now that I'm going home to enjoy my retirement and further heal my body, I hope I can make it up to the stadium this next year's home opener and enjoy some chicken wings and finally meet you all in person. I also want to thank the Buffalo Bills who took my retirement flag and flew it over the stadium for a game. That's going into my retirement shadow box and I'll never forget it and I will cherish it. Thank you all again happy new year god bless you and I hope to meet you all soon.
