Watch the film, Florence was their best corner last year, worth the $$ -- especially 3 years -- adding Williams (maybe at strong safety ?) gives Bills a very good secondary -- Bills will play a lot of nickel and need depth
Williams is not playing S they've said it a million times he will play CB.

I'd love to get Boss, I rather have him than Miller, but really I'd take either one..I THINK Boss is younger by a year or two but I could be wrong, i don't feel like looking it up since we realistically most likely won't get either of them anyway..Chan has stated that he uses his WR's more than his TE's but thats not to say he wouldn't find ways to get one the ball if he felt he had a good one..At this point I'd rather sign a RT than a TE anyway if were actually going to sign someone..
Miller is 25 Boss is 27

I'd love Boss but if NYG lets Bradshaw walk they can up thier offer to Boss.
-
Matt Roth would be a better option at a better price.
Heck yea! He'd be a better get he can acutally play 34 OLB. I'd be happy with a Roth signing.
-
Maybe they think he fits our hybrid, 3-4 and 4-3 defense. They might put him a 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE depending on the opponent.
We have Kelsaay for that role we dont need a clone of him.
-
Strange, he flamed out in the 3-4 defense in Houston. Doesn't seem like a good fit.
yep, so we'll give him a 4yr. $25 million contract like we did Kelsay.
-
He is a 43 DE who yea had 12.5 sacks last year but before that his high was 5 in 2006 add he is 31 no thanks
-
Make him the highest paid RT in the NFL! He could be a fixture on the right side of our line for the next 8-10 years. This signing alone would mak FA a success for the Bills.
So he is gonna be a top RT at the age of 37-39? Yea dont think so. Maybe the next 5 years.
-
Either would be an upgrade . . . although Clabo is younger and thus would have more value
But we're the Bills, we can't be choosey
Clabo is 29 Colon is 28

Kevin Burnett, ILB, Chargers. Age: 28.
After a few forgettable years in Dallas, Kevin Burnett has really come into his own in San Diego. Staying put would probably be best for his career.
Kirk Morrison, ILB, Jaguars. Age: 29.
Kirk Morrison is a decent middle linebacker who thrives in run support. He's not terrible in coverage, but could be better in that department.
Barrett Ruud, ILB, Buccaneers. Age: 28.
I'm not sure what happened to Barrett Ruud, because he had an awful 2010 campaign after a couple of phenomenal seasons as Tampa Bay's middle linebacker. Ruud might be able to bounce back elsewhere - or he could be done.
=============================================================================
From the 3 you said I like Morrison the best due to his run support.
-
Chris White as a 34 ILB, lol. He is a coverage LB who will only get on the field in nickle/dime packages.
-
If I was D-Flo I'd pick the Jets over Buffalo, Jets have a shot at the playoffs Buffalo has no shot. Ad the fact he is 30, bye D-Flo have fun in NJ.
-
anyone know how much he will be making? I bet it's 2-3 mill per yr. but want to know. thx.
-
Bet we bring in Brandon Siler has ties with Nix and is a decent 34 ILB
-
Thank God, now we might have some chance at pass coverage in the middle.
With who? Davis? Sheppard? Torbor? White?
-
We are letting our best ILB go on a team that has little at the spot.

According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, free agent MLB Paul Posluszny will sign with the Jaguars.
Glazer only said this in response to a Twitter question, but he wouldn't have said it if it wasn't true. There isn't a more accurate reporter on the NFL. Adding fire to the smoke was a previous report from NFL Network that the Jaguars were indeed targeting Posluszny. It looks like Kirk Morrison is no longer a lock to return, at least at the middle linebacker position. Related: Jaguars, Kirk MorrisonSource: Jay Glazer on Twitter Jul 26, 8:41 PM

RT @SuperEARLII: @AdamSchefter @alexmarvez @blekas @CoachBillick @Jay_Glazer Whats the interest out there for poslusny?>He'll sign w JagsSo who the heck are we gonna spent 36 million on? More 2nd tier players, great.
-
we could even kick him to RG and let Wood play C. I wouldn't mind if he came cheap. would be an small upgrade at RT but an upgrade none the less.
-
A report from some place named speedburners that one of their clients, Emmanuel Moody, RB of Florida, agreed with the Bills, who doesn't appear to be much of a speedburner.
Big name coming out of high school, went to USC then transferred to UF
And Mario Harvey, of Marshall, a big fast ILB

We got him?

This certainly is a far-fetched scenario, but I like your optimism. I think the likelihood of signing both Kendric Burney and Mark Herzlich as UDFA's is unlikely, as they are two of the most sought after prospects of this group. I like the idea if signing Marshal Yanda because of his versatility. IMO...he could quite capably play RT or RG which would be beneficial given the uncertainty at these two positions. In addition to what you have proposed, I would like to see the Bills bring in an UDFA QB. Perhaps Ben Chappell from Indiana or Adam Weber from Minnesota.
Yea forgot about getting a QB on the PS. Ben or Adam would be a nice get
Boss will make much more many than this and it seems all of your contracts decrease from year to year. I like the players targeted but don't think the numbers add up.. I believe boss will command 5-6 mill in year one, also think florence will want more than a 2 year deal as he has stated this is his last chance for a big deal.
I don't think Boss gets more than 5 per year.
Yes they do with all the cap space we and other teams have I think there will be a lot of front loaded deals to get to the cap floor.
Yea D-flo wants more than 2 years but he is 30 and I don't want to give him anything more than 2 yrs at 5 mill per.

Something like this would make me happy.
QB - Tyler Thigpen
3 years , $7.5 million
Yr.1 - $3 , Yr.2 - $2.5 , Yr.3 - $2
Becomes the #2 QB.
TE - Kevin Boss
4 years , $17.5 million
Yr.1 - $5 , Yr.2 - $4.5 , Yr.3 - $4 , Yr.4 - $4
When was the last time we had a nice TE?
RT - Marshal Yanda
6 years, $36 million
Yr.1 - $7 , Yr.2 - $6 , Yr.3 - $6 , Yr.4 - $6 , Yr.5 - $5.5 , Yr.6 - $5.5
We need a RT bad, word is Yanda would like to stay in BAL but if we throw some money at him I think he'd come.
OT - David Mims - Virginia Union
Practice Squad
DE - Brandon Bair - Oregon
Practice Squad
DE/OLB - Steven Friday - Virginia Tech
Practice Squad
ILB - Paul Posluszny
6 years, $35 million
Yr.1 - $7 , Yr.2 - $6 , Yr.3 - $5.5 , Yr.4 - $5.5 , Yr.5 - $5.5 , Yr.6 - $5.5
ILB - Mark Herzlich - Boston College
Practice Squad
CB - Drayton Florence
2 years, $10 million
Yr.1 - $5 , Yr.2 - $5
CB - Kendric Burney - North Carolina
Practice Squad
S - Jeron Johnson - Boise State
Practice Squad
-
so then we'll have 3 34 DEs. yea okay. Spencer is a good back-up who can play UT in the 43.
-
cutting Kelsay would save us $2 million this year
9/29/2010: Signed a five-year, $28.2 million contract. The deal contains $11 million in bonus money. 2011: $2 million, 2012: $3.5 million, 2013: $3.725 million, 2014: $3.745 million, 2015: Free Agent

I've always liked Brandon Siler and wouldn't mind to bring him in to fight for the other ILB next to Poz.
ILB depth of Poz, Davis, Siler, Sheppard & White is a nice group imo.
