Bryant McKinnie kicked off Pro Bowl team
Steely Dan replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In Juco he worked at the Dunder-Mifflen warehouse. What he said! -
Nah, I like JIA, he's ok.

Specifically, the Deerball thread.

Son, come here for a minute, please. You're 14 now, or something like that, and very close to possibly being hit on by a beautiful young teacher. She will entice you and flirt with you. I hope after 14 years of living with us you will do the right thing. So remember, she has to be really pretty. If she's not you come off looking desperate. You have to remove all correspondence with her from your cell phone, immediately. That's where most kids screw up. I know the naked pictures are gonna be hard to delete but it has to be done. She's being nice enough to give you a great story and amazing memories for the rest of your life so you need to protect her. Whatever you do, don't tell anyone about it. She could get into serious trouble for it. Especially, don't tell me. If this becomes public I'm going to have to be angry at you for my public image, so if I even get a hint that something might be going on I'll have to put an end to it. Now go mow the lawn and if you tell anyone about this conversation I'll disavow it and punish you for lying. Good luck son, make your old man proud.

Latest Entry - MORE GOOD NEWS!!! So far, so good. He is on very minimal sedation and although the breathing tube is still in, he's doing all the work of breathing on his own. He nodded his head a bit, wiggled toes when told to, squeezed hands. It is hilarious that he will do these things when a family member gets up in his face and asks but totally refuses when one of the doctors tries to get him to perform! I think it's looking good for getting the the trachea tube out. Doctor Thompson, the attending physician says it "seems a reasonable step". We are waiting for the pulmonary specialist Doctor Rahman to give the go-head. I don't know if I metioned it but the last coherent thing I remember John saying Tuesday night was, "I think I need Doctor House". He's addicted to the medical TV shows "House" and "Bones". Babe.....you have no idea. We feel like we've been living an episode.

Who is the GREATEST Bill of All-Time ??
Steely Dan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Also, Will Wolford and Kent Hull. Even though he never played with a great QB Eric Moulds comes to mind too. -
If he's that good he may not last til the second round. If he has an outstanding combine workout he could move mid first round. I don't know of him that well, but he has the physical tools for a QB and if he's cool under pressure and shows above average QB skills at the combine I can see him moving up.

Who is the GREATEST Bill of All-Time ??
Steely Dan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fixed! (IMO, Hansen benefited from Bruce, not the other way around.) If you believe a RB's only job is to carry the ball then, yes, Sanders was a lot better than Thomas. Thomas did keep Barry Sanders on the bench in college though. As for Emmitt Smith, both he and Thomas averaged 4.2 yards per carry so the nod goes to Thomas. JMO -
I wonder why they chose Frank Reich of all people? Maybe somebody on staff is a former Oilers fan?

I agree. So he's turned into a dinosaur and then what happens?

Most Important Postitions of Need For the Bills

I don't see any Marinos in their prime in FA or the draft. That's why I say go with LT. -
Who is the GREATEST Bill of All-Time ??
Steely Dan replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just proved he was a better receiver and if you watched Bills games with him you'd know he was a great blocker. I don't give a crap what anyone else thinks. When rating RB's ground yards are really what most people pay attention to. It's a lot smarter to look at everything a RB does. So, as I said, they have better ground numbers while Thurman excelled at everything else. -

Barry Sanders - 2,921 receiving yards. (10 seasons) 292 per season average Emmit Smith - 3,224 receiving yards. (15 seasons) 214 per season average Thurman Thomas - 4,458 receiving yards. (13 seasons) 343 per season average. I disagree. While Sanders and Smith got more yardage on the ground Thurman was the best all around back in the league at the time and maybe since. No RB, that I've seen, came close to his ability to block. That's not something that shows up on the stat sheets but he was a marvel. His ability to receive was far better than Smith or Sanders as well. -

No, this is without regard to draft grades and could be done through FA as well. -
Anybody consider Kellen Clemens?
Steely Dan replied to muddy waters's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clemens is a RFA and the Bills would have to give up draft choices for him. -

Bruce - Greatest DE ever! 'Nuff said. Thurman - Amazingly fun to watch and best all around back to play. Kelly - HOF QB. Only HOF QB the Bills have ever had. Reed - Greatest WR in Bills history. Tasker - Transformed the entire ST position. -
Which position is the most important position to upgrade on offense and defense this offseason? My votes are LT and DT. There's no point in taking a QB if you can't protect him. IMO, the best way to ruin a rookie QB is to give him an inferior line. Since LT is the most important position on the field that needs to be addressed first. IMO, the pass rush is helped by the Bills great secondary and being able to stop the run. The biggest problem with the D last year was stopping the run. A big DT is definitely the biggest need.

I doubt Williams goes to a Chinese Buffet. He'll only be hungry an hour later. Oh wait, he's probably hungry every hour anyway. -
Lets play who is safe and who is not!

Why? The Bills are loaded at that position. JMO -

My guesses. Most often wrong but what the hell; Offense; Safe; Edwards, Fitzpatrick, Brohm, Bell, Levitre, Hangartner, Wood, Butler, Meridith, Lynch, Jackson, Evans, Johnson, Josh Reed (will be re-signed) Nelson, Hennessey, McIntyre and Hardy Gone; Inognito (not disciplined enough), Parrish, Omon, Defense; Safe; Schobel (comes back if team runs a 4-3 or splits time with 3-4/4-3), Stroud, Williams, Mitchell, Poz, Wendling, Wilson, Byrd, Whitner, McGee, McKelvin, Corner, Lankster, Johnson and Florence. Gone; Ellis (finally), McCargo, Corto, Safe; Moorman and Lindell JMO -
Oh yeah, in a heartbeat.

Anyone got tonight's Syracuse hoops score?
Steely Dan replied to Lori's topic in Off the Wall Archives
ROSEMONT, Ill.(AP) The way Jim Boeheim saw it, Syracuse had no business winning this one. Wes Johnson scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and No. 4 Syracuse rallied from 18 down to beat DePaul 59-57 Saturday afternoon for its eighth straight win. ''Tonight, we played two great minutes,'' Boeheim said. ''Not usually enough to win.''
