  1. Still watching games at Bobby V's?

    Hi, KD

Not this year because most of the Bills games were on TV here in Stamford. PLUS, I have a computer with EyeTV set up at my house in Elmira, NY so I can watch televised Bills games from there on my iPad. However, when the Bills laid an egg mid-season even the Elmira CBS station stopped broadcasting them.

  2. Well, I have to say that my Stadium Wall status has been mostly "lurker" for a long time - but I've been following this thread as much as I could get away with at work. Now that I finally have a chance to post, I don't even know what to say that hasn't already been said! I am so happy for Bills fans everywhere as I believe we begin a new era of WINNING again! After last season, I swore that I would not purchase any more Buffalo Bills merchandise until they win a Super Bowl. Hopefully, I'll be buying something in the not-too-distant future. ;)

*An aside to Chicagoan: Thanks for you post - it was quite heartwarming.

  3. While I'm no fan of either Harbaugh, I'd rather see the Ravens and 49ers in the Super Bowl than either the Giant or Patsies. Here in CT I work with so many classless Jersey Giants fans (who are fond of snickering "Wide Right" around this time of year) and obnoxiously intolerable Patsy fans that I really don't want to see either of them win the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, I think it probably will end up being Jersey vs. NE.

However, if the Ravens play the Giants, I hope the Giants miss a potentially game-winning field goal WIDE RIGHT as time expires. If San Fran plays the Patsies, I'd like to see them get completely annihilated to the point that Alex Smith starts punting on third down all fourth quarter to rub their noses in it. If it IS Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh, then I honestly don't care who wins - I just hope it's a good game.

  4. I'm a bit surprised that not much is being made of the Jets coming off a bye week. I think that did contribute to the outcome today.

You know, it seems to me that the Bills have really been on the short end of the stick the last 10-15 years facing a divisional opponent coming off THEIR bye (for a while, I know we kept getting the Patsies after their bye!). Can anyone put together some stats on this?

  5. I couldn't resist joining in on this thread because it's such an interesting topic to me. If the Bills do indeed go back to the white helmets, I hope they don't switch to too light of a blue on the jerseys. The unis should be THREE colors only: red, white and (royal or navy) blue... just like the American flag! I vote for blue face masks, too.

  6. The old rivalries seem to have out-lived their relevance. I'd like to see the Bills move to compete with their Lake Erie neighbors, the Steelers and Browns (along with the Bengals) - and let all those "East Coast" teams go at it.

This has nothing to do with our team's competitiveness, or lack thereof... it's just that Buffalo really is the odd man out when it comes to the identity of the AFC East Division. We belong with Pittsburgh and the teams from Ohio.

  7. Let me say I thought the Who were quite good...considering they are pushing 70! My wife who grew up a huge Who fan was aghast at how old Daltrey and Townshend looked. And frankly Daltrey had to tone it down just to keep his voice from giving out.

It made me think about why the NFL keeps dredging up these fossil bands? I mean the median age of a Who fan is probably 55. The median age of an NFL fan is much younger. So where does the NFL go next year? What 60's rock bands are left? Any other ideas from other decades?

If I were to predict I think the NFL will chose a country artist for SBXLV.

Oh, forget the 60s - and the 70s for that matter. BRING ON THE 80s!!!! I'd like to see Devo in their funky "energy dome" hats!

  8. Thanks, Golden Wheels and JÂy, for the warm welcome back!

Perhaps a new era has begun with the Patriettes' flame-out. Let's hope this emerging decade brings a real competitive Bills team that knows how to win! I want to attend a Super Bowl Victory Party in Buffalo by 2019!

  9. Moose!

    Welcome home GM!

Thanks, Simon, my friend. It's been a really tough year+ for me and my family, so I only visit on rare occasion... but my heart is always here. It always feels like "home".

Here's to a new year and a new decade. The tide is turning, I can feel it...

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
