  1. The bill's in the mail
  2. You forgot the Laughing Gnome. I love that song.
  3. Yeah, the pop stuff sucked. But then again, I hate pop stuff in general. The rock/metal scene was awesome though. CW
  4. I don't agree with that at all. There's a ton of good music in the 80s. You want bad, look at this entire century for the most part Oh wait, you like American Idol, nevermind.
  5. Oh, ok. That makes me feel better that you know Space Oddity (even if you didn't know who sang it ).
  6. Some star guy up in space?! You mean Space Oddity? ("Ground control to Major Tom...") That's a classic dude, you should be ashamed that you don't know it. I love Bowie. If you want a great variety of his songs, I HIGHLY recommend "Dream Anthology - 1966- 1968." Lots of good stuff there. CW
  7. You're always going to have some horror stories, no matter the company. However keep in mind that DirecTV has been #1 in customer satisfaction for a LONG time: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/secon...assetId=1100052 Remember the key is, if you don't get what you want from frontline support, ask for "Customer Retention." Cable companies don't seem to have anything like that (I tried with my internet service issue with Comcast). CW
  8. I don't know what Howard OnDemand is... If you have a DVR though, you can setup a wishlist/season pass to record whatever you want and always have as many "Howard" as you want. Personally, I think OnDemand is rather lame and a DVR is much better, but some people seem to like it. Remember, I appreciate being a referral if you do decide to sign up CW
  9. Actually, DirecTV has pay-per-view; it's like $20-$25/week though (which is a ripoff, compared to Sunday Ticket in general...)
  10. I appologize. If I'm still laughing, does the appology still count?
  11. Or free minutes to call your loved ones.
  12. These are not the aces you are looking for.
  13. Yeah, but he can strangle people by just raising his hand. That's pretty cool, and could be really helpful at the poker table
  14. I'm Focker's apprentice, and we all know what happened to Anakin when he faught his master. He got his butt kicked, but became Vader which made it all worthwhile.
  15. Not much I can say to that one...
  16. That's where he got the name. Don't you know the story already? Get with the program man! Can I use any old phone card I have laying around?
  17. Dish is nowhere near as good as DirecTV IMHO, but it's still better than the EVil Empire, aka: Cable. CW
  18. They did, you just missed it because they edited the title after my post. In addition, they deleted all the "steamy" posts. Good thing I archived 'em.... I can't even re-post the rest, due to censorship laws... Sorry. CW
  19. Right on my A/V equipment? Oh wait, that's what you like to do, sorry.
  20. I'm on the board of a townhome assocation - NOT of the city. The homeowners association has added their own rules above and beyond, and one of them is "no more than 3 pets," which I disagree with and want to have changed. I have no power over the city rules CW
  21. Not all of us are bad. Some of us join to fight the bad people.
  22. Yeah, that's why I joined the board - to help get rid of (or at least temper) the stupid people on the board... Before I got on the board they made a rule that you could only have three "domesticated pets." Well, one of my neighbors has 3 cats and a dog and now she's freaking out thinking she's going to have to move or something. The way I look at it, we don't need a rule that we can't enforce (we're not going door to door to find violators), and we should just stick with the city ordinance. But three (of the 5) people are fighting me tooth in nail on it. Idiots. CW
  23. There's a city ordinance here that states the following: "No person shall own, harbor or keep more than three dogs over the age of five months or four cats over the age of five months in a single household" So does that mean I can have three cats and one dog? That's the way I read it, but someone else on the board of our association is saying that someone with three cats and one dog is in violation because it says "OR." I think it's rather vague, personally, but am pretty sure it means I could have three dogs and four cats in my house if I wanted to because the logic would be: if [ $MYCATS -gt 4 -o $MYDOGS -gt 3 ] then echo "Violatation" else echo "Not violation." fi Cw
  24. When I saw "monopolistic cabal," I thought you were talking about the cable company.... The solution is simple - switch to DirecTV or Dish. Have your cake and eat it too. And as everyone knows, if you have any DirecTV questions, let me know.
