  1. From what I recall, the DR's said it was about pain tolerance, not about further damage...

Picking up the option would be compounding the mistake to trade up for him in the first place. That kinda crap has to stop, it's stopping IMO.

Yes that's true I remember the statements about pain management too. But wasn't there an actual physical setback when a teammate stepped on his foot during a walkthrough? I vaguely recall that as well.

  2. ....known Russ for 10+ years and he is a down to earth guy.....when RW's "Inner Circle of Trust" collapsed during the DonoHOLE era, Ralph turned to those he could trust...hence Marv was "re-tired" with 4 new Pirellis and RW promoted Brandon into positions he knew he was not qualified for....here come the naysayers with the "money grab" crap.....RW treated him like a son and he could NOT say NO to "Mr Wilson (NEVER called him Ralph; too much respect)".....sure he nudged Pegula about the Wrecks hire from a ticket sales perspective.....got forwarded the text from someone close to me which read. "so what do you think?"....Nausea 101.......he loved Pegula kicking his azz upstairs as PSE Prez focusing on Business Administration &Marketing where he belongs........linkster requestors need not bother....I am the link.....no benefit for me to post crap and I never would....as far as the Bills & Sabres openings as well as War Room, I'd sure as hell would be intrigued to be in on all regardless if I had a say or not............

Lol you "are the link"...the pomposity out of some of you is astounding.

  3.

Sure NFL teams don't do their best when they are in a bad situation. I guess I don't have psychic ESP voodoo powers to erase the way something looks real bad when a team is throwing it all away, maybe you can teach us how to discern.

Are you honestly WATCHING games that horrible teams are playing that mean nothing to see if they are trying or not.

How about this scenario with a team going nowhere...

    1) Do you keep playing the vets and hope to squeak out a few cheap wins and maybe keep the coaching jobs?

    or

    2) Play the kids and get them some experience knowing it's going to be a loss...

All you're talking about is players losing faith in systems and perhaps not giving full effort as losses pile up. That happens all the time. That's not designed tanking.

  4. I don't really like that logic.

That's like saying if we drafted Tom Brady, David Carr, Dak Prescott, etc they all wouldn't be good just because we wouldn't develop them right.

A good player is a good player.

I think that's true at some sort of baseline level, but I still agree with kelly for the most part. We've seen previously successful QBs start out okay, even great, and then languish following a coaching change.

Then why was Alex Smith terrible for 4-5 years until Jim Harbaugh and Andy Reid got hold of him.

And he was, iirc, number one overall.

    Most definitely.

  5. Must be the most boneheaded post I've seen since joining here.

    Hands down.

Oh stick around sir, it'll be topped sooner or later. Although this one will be hard to beat.

I'm trying to think of even one comparison between the two players except that they are black and wide receivers. I do have to admit, however, that I don't know if Zay ever pulled a gun on his own father like James did, although after seeing Zay sitting next to his dad while watching the draft I would imagine perhaps no.

Perhaps he was going on the fact they were both second rounders? Lol i don't know know either I'm grasping at straws here since the poster convienently disappeared.

  6. I guess the better question is - If Mahomes is good how pissed will you be?

I'll be pretty pissed because in the last few years we've already passed on multiple franchise caliber quarterbacks.

I guess i'd be a bit salty, but like kelly said there's no guarantee the kid develops in the same way here, as opposed to how he might turn out under Reid in KC. In other words, no i would not be that pissed. As it stands right now, I'd much rather have the 2nd 1st round pick next year, as that QB class looks better (for now) and I still have some faith in TT.

  7. Yes. With the emphasis on young. NFL quality edge rushers are to young tackles what a major league curve ball is to AAA prospects looking to make the big team in spring training.

Look, I like the pick a lot. I think he is a really good prospect and has a chance to play a long time in the league. He is a very good athlete and so we shouldnt be surprised if he learns how to protect the passer. That is certainly not something we will ever see from Mills.

This is a very measured and accurate response. I'm not sold on whether dawkins can continue at RT either, although the arm length is a plus. Worst case is he is very strong depth at guard with incognito aging.

I get the fits being thrown around tonight after the trade ups. It looked like we were finally hopping on that patriot train of amassing picks by trading down. It turned into a straight 'need' draft, without losing any more picks than we came into this year (counting the '18 1st). I've got no problem with a need draft; hopefully these early round picks work out.

  8. Lamp is in my top 15 players, he was a thought at right tackle at pick 25. I'd buy Lamp at 25 though. Ross and Watkins force 2 deep safeties and dictate coverage opening up a lot for the whole offense.... Leroi said he's in play at 10, getting him at 25 could be quite a coup I would think.

I don't see Watson going anywhere near the top half of 1st round so I don't see why houston would feel motivated to trade up 15 spots.

  9. I'm curious as to why you don't see Reddit as a top pass rusher he has the natural Bend and explosion off the staff that is extremely rare he has a motor that is always a hundred percent he has the ability to not just bend the corner but also uses hands and convert speed to power when you see all of those traits that are exemplified on the tape and then combine that with his athletic measurables at the combine it's extremely easy see why he would be a top-10 pick in my honest opinion like I said before he just seems like a slightly more inexperienced Von Miller or Robert Mathis or Cornelius Bennett

But id also love reuben foster

    This...was an awfully long sentence.
