1. While commending Brian Moorman's so-far record setting punting this season (ave. over 40 yards a kick), King, a tremendous D-Bag with an ego as large as his ass, underlined his point about Moorman by commenting that he punts in the "Hades of NFL environs." WTF? I realize the Ralph isn't state of the art and the weather can be bad, but do the Bills really play football in a dump comparable to Hell? By the way Peter, it was 60+ degrees yesterday for the game here in Buffalo.

  2. The 2 coaches who decided to take advantage of the new rule and look professional and classy on the sidelines both won decisive victories this past weekend. What with all the head-stompings (2 already), wife-beatings, and illicit cough syrup selling going on in the NFL this year by the players, the new suit rule injects some sorely needed class into the league, and every coach should take advantage if the league allows them.

A little advice to Couch Jauron though if he decides to suit up: Stay away from the black suit / black tie Dick, people may mistake you for a spooky old undertaker with that mug of yours.

  3. Sure you're not from Lackawanna? Maybe you're just missing some chromosomes.

Way to be, sixpack, you just proved who the douche really is for putting someone down for making an observation. That is a nice meaningless stat, too. Last i checked, those QB's haven't been having the greatest of years, with the possible exception of pennington. So losman has a better "ratio" than the concussion case in pittsburg, WOW.

  4. Let them go, I prefer to stretch out on the Band wagon and would love ticket prices to be lower and more accessable for people to get. I would also love room to stretch out at games this year.

think again ace, the bills already have the cheapest tickets in the NFL. They aint going down in price in our lifetimes, no matter what type of product is on the field.

  5. It looks like a Republican referendum occurred in Congressional districts all over the country yesterday..and it seems it did not go well for the GOP. Kinda sad though my WNY brothers and sisters in Clarence and elseware in the 26th district continued to disappoint and vote slimy ol' Tom Reynolds back to Washington...discouraging to say the least. Maybe I'm missing some (all?) of Reynolds' redeeming qualities, but the Foley thing alone should've been enough to boot his arse out of the House. He certainly didn't succeed in keeping his fellow House GOPs in Office, which was what he was in charge of, after all. God, he is kind of subhuman that if you happen to brush your arm up against him, it would come away all sticky. :D

  6. do you want him to make?

I can't stand 3 yard rushing averages...  I want 30-35 passes a game minimum (weather permitting) to see if he is capable of being our QB.  Add to that the rolls and 3 step drops mentioned over and over.

Average passes in week 9 was 32 (does not include sack and qb rushes)...  Thus I don't think I am being pass happy asking for that many attempts.

Apparently it has been the Bills' recent philosophy (at least to the public) to be committed to te run. So no matter what you ask for, Losman is not going to average over 30-35 passes, no way no how. More importantly, though, it just not necessary for the Bills to exercise Losman's arm that much a game to see if he is a capable QB. He just needs to manage the game: i.e., make accurate passes downfield when he has to in order to keep the opposing defense honest against the run and hold on to the damn ball...and thats it. There would be a ton of happy Bills fans if Losman completed 16 for 21, 18 for 24 week after week with no turnovers. :D

  7. For anyone who thinks Jp should be pulled, remember that 99% of hall of Fame quarterbacks have not been very productive in their first full season of starts.  Almost every good QB and even the great Manning, Farve, Kelly, Moon, Elway......I could go on, have all struggled mightily in the beginnings of their historic careers.

JP should not and will not be pulled this entire Season.  The combination of the entire teams mistakes will not be put on his shoulders.

You people that want to see Nall or some rookie QB take over this team are ignorant to the game of football as a whole.  With a young Quarterback you have to be ready to take some lumps in order to make him better.  When you draft a young QB you have to let him develop over at least three to four years.  If you give up before the kid has even a full season of starts then you should have just gotten a veteran free agent who has all ready been developed by another team.

JP has everything he needs to be a premiere QB.  Build around him, let him win the team and fans over with his persistance, and  he will be great.  Don't be a mularkey and try to ruin this teams chances for another few seasons.

Did the original post author even bother to check the named QBs' stats before stating that they ALL "stuggled mightily"? As others have already pointed out, those QBs were more than respectable when they took over their respective starting jobs. Maybe its time to skip tuning in to the NFL on and stick to watching paintball on ESPN2 on Sunday afternoons. ;)

  8. :)  Remember oline take time as well. Gallery was the next big deal several years ago Big LT out of Iowa can't miss! played with the usual mistakes then right tackle for a year now  coming around. This yr dbrick/ well with pennington's 2step and toss he is doing ok. Mangold looks like a winner. Big mike and the guy from the u. one bust/ one slower than

expected to bring his game to nfl level What's it all mean? The draft is a crap shoot just like free agency is some ya win some ya don't

Agree with all of that except Gallery -- he has actually regressed this year. Could be a symptom of the guys he's playing around though. <_<

  9. From where we will be picking (#6-#12)

What do you think we should do?

Draft a dominant OL, DT, or DE?

Should we trade down and pick up multiple players?

I think we need more help all around and should trade down and build our interior line and draft a linebacker as well.

    Thoughts?

    817638

Looking at our 2nd half schedule, we may be picking even higher than that. If so, two choices that might make sense (if you believe that teams are built from the lines out, which you should):

    1. Alan Branch, DT Michigan

    2. Sam Baker, OT USC

  10. To me, these stats are a clear indication that some here are going way overboard in their criticisms of JP. Eli even had some clunker turnover games later on in the season including 4 interceptions against MIN on 11/3 and 3 interceptions against PHI on 12/11. Yes, JP needs to take care of the football but there's absolutely no reason to dog him by already labeling him a failure in the NFL. It's too soon. I don't remember the Giant fans throwing Eli under the bus like so many here are willing to do with JP. I still think JP has a big upside and that he's still learning. It didn't help him that he was probably going against two defenses that are Superbowl calibre in the last three weeks. He now needs to hold onto the ball and throw some touchdowns, give him some time.

    817775

No one should label him a failure -- even though he is failing presently, right before all of our eyes? Also, what are your bases for thinking Losman has "big upside"? Because he was a winner in college? Nope. Because he has the right attitude? Nope. I will give you this -- At least Losman isn't skipping 4 to 5 passes a game to his receivers like last year. Wow.

  11. To bad we still didn't have both on the roster. He shares time with Chris Brown with no gripes. Travis has only rushed 81 times to get his 384 yards where Willis has almost double the rushing attempts (150) to get his 564 yards.

Travis last to games are pretty impressive. 123 against the Colts and a whopping 178 against the Redskins.

    817005

Yeah Henry looked great against a team with a defense that couldn't stop the run if they had 15 guys on the field and a team that is producing basically zero offense right now and their defense is on the field all game. Henry is still the same nutjob, he just doesn't hurt the Titans as much because Brown is the main back
