  1. Post #2, actually. Post #3 is your fault. And there's something seriously wrong with any country in which the no-talent Dixie Chicks are political standard-bearers, and the first anniversary of the Iraqi Civil War is ignored.
  2. Yep, there's additional kits above and beyond the basic kit. And it'll work with standard Legos...the "brain" and a whole bunch of moving parts (gears, wheels, pulleys, axles, etc.) are rather specialized, but they're all made to the same "snap together" design as regular Legos. Legos are really an example of marvelous engineering, if you look closely at them. I marvel at the design and development that went into even the simplest brick. But then, I also argue statistics with illiterate idiots, so maybe I need better hobbies.
  3. I have a Mindstorm set. MIT uses Mindstorm to teach it's freshman-level robotics classes. Trust me, it's not childish, even if it is Legos.
  4. And did you ever notice that the US is only a "world leader" when everyone else wants us to do something?
  5. I believe I've seen someone (not me) with 121 posts in one day before. For some reason, I want to say it was EC-Bills...but I honestly don't remember who it was.
  6. The Republican plan is: Provide for basic security while installing a democratic government. Or was. Now it's: provide for basic security while the democratically-elected-but-not-really-representative-of-the-people government learns to provide for its own basic security. Which, if you think about it, is a bit contradictory. And probably useless, as well. The only real benefit it gives over any other plan I've heard is that it at least recognizes that we're responsible for the mess Iraq's in.
  7. He spelled it better than Bush pronounces it, at least...
  8. So he's gone from "Global warming is a grave threat" to "Global warming is a grave threat by the West, but not so much if emerging economies cause it."
  9. Is there anything worth reading in this, or is it his same old ridiculous "But Stanford says so, you poopy-head!" nonsense?
  10. Personally...I would be patching it temporarily, then taking it out come better weather not just to seal it properly but to make sure the wood around it isn't moldy or rotting. It's probably not...but better to check, clean up any damage, and be certain. But then, I can do windows, so I wouldn't be looking at paying someone else for it. If I were, I might decide otherwise.
  11. May as well throw bubonic plague and ovarian cysts in there as well, then... Bummer about Gaustad. (for those who didn't hear, the slash on his ankle includes a slashed tendon; he's out at least until next season.)
  12. Again: might mean something if you didn't persist in proving you're a dumbass.
  13. Yeah, like that statement that a single die has a true value of 3.5...oh, wait, that wasn't me. Again, if you knew anything about anything, calling me "stupid" might be of some concern to me. As it stands, it's just one more thing you're ignorant about.
  14. Is there anyone who hasn't yet claimed to be a guardian of this kid?
  15. I don't get annoyed. I get amused. You are literally the most stupid and ignorant poster I've ever seen here. You think I take you seriously?
  16. No, part of the officer's job is to maintain peace and security and uphold the law and not take juveneile bull sh-- personally...which is not served by arresting a guy for extending his middle finger at you. My God, is there anything you're not completely wrong about?
  17. I wouldn't say you shouldn't flip off a cop...just that if you do, you shouldn't be surprised if he Rodney King's your ass. I mean, really...I'm pretty much for people doing what they want, but people have to realize that their actions don't exist in a vacuum. They can garner reactions...not always pleasant.
  18. They weren't. The history of the region, going WAY back (all the way to the Crusades), has the major religions not only coexisting but protecting each other to a degree. The segregation and mass exodus of religious groups is a very recent feature, directly attributable to the "Papa knows best" attitudes of the imperial nations in the late colonial and post-colonial period.
  19. So it's not our responsibility to clean up the mess after this misbegotten invasion, is that what you're saying. That's why I love (*^*&%^$^#liberals like you: for all the talk about being compassionate, when push comes to shove you run and hide. Yeah, no sh--. It was time to diplomatically engage Syria and Iran (particularly Iran) before the invasion even started. Still doesn't change the fact that you're a blustering fool.
