  1. At first I thought that whoever wins the battle between Kolb and Tarvaris would stay and the other cut, and maybe Corp would stay on as #3.

Now I kind of think that Kolb starts, EJ is the back-up and may take over during the season. And TJax is #3 with Tuel on the PS. TJax may ask for his release if he is #3. But it depends on how far Manuel progresses in camp. Kolb could get hurt and Marrone go with TJax until Manuel is ready.

Ya, I'm pretty sure they decided to keep T-Jax because of Kolb's injury history and that they will start him over EJ if Kolb goes down.Unless EJ pulls a Russell Wilson, he won't be starting for a year or two.

  2. I don't wanna say anything like superbowl but nothing is out of the realm of possibility really. The 49'ers went from a 6-10 team under Mike Singletary to a 13-3 team one field goal away from the superbowl. If Marrone and Pettine prove to be the coaches we think they are, and the players we have are as talented as we think they are, I could see us being the big surprise team this year.

  3. What's the chances of the Bills trading down again in the first round (especially if no QB's have been taken)?

I think they'll do it. Buddy has said this draft is very deep and he's going to want as many picks as he can get. He also probably wants a QB in the first and with the chances of losing his QB by trading down being slim he won't lose anything so I would expect it.

  4. Exactly...

I keep hearing these names...Welker, Jackson, Sproles, etc, compared to Austin...And here is the single thing these Austin at #8 fans are completely ignoring...

    Welker - Undrafted FA

    Jackson - 2nd Round - #49 overall

    Sproles - 4th Round - #130

And not Steve Smith??? Of all players I'd say Smith is the most similar to Tavon.

  5. You severely underestimate how much the jets losing Revis is going to affect them. They lost the best CB in the league, and arguably one of the best defenders in the league. The guy shuts down half the field, and allows a both safeties to focus on the other half. I don't care that they got a draft pick, because there's virtually way that the player they take at #13 will do more for the Jets than Revis will do for the Buccs, or Revis would have for the Jets (over the next 4-5 years, the length of a 1st round contract). I'll take a proven player over a draft pick any day of the week.

From the Buccs side, they had a ton of cap space, so there was more than enough room for Revis. They also play 6 games against Brees, Ryan, Newton, Steve Smith, White/Jones, and Colston. You don't think Revis is going to help? Ridiculous. Now versus the Falcons, they can single up Revis on Jones or White, and let a safety double down on the other. Plus, Revis is infinitely better than whatever CB the Buccs would have taken at #13.

Well they played pretty well without him last year and finished as the 2nd best team against the pass. It's a big loss but it doesn't kill them. I'd say it was a good move for both sides.

  6. After watching the presser on BB.com I am more sure they will take either M. Barkley or Ryan Nassib in the first round. Geno I think he wont be there at 8.

I think they like Barkley as much as or more than Nassib. I would not be mad at all if they pick either one.

Ya, the more I hear, the more I think it will be Barkley at eight or trade down and get Barkley or Nassib in the late first. After that I would get WR in the second and TE/DB/LB in the third.

  7. I'm starting to agree with this. I think our picks in rounds 1-3 have to be WR/LB/TE in whatever order. If they are able to trade down & get an extra 2nd or late 1st, then I'd support grabbing a QB too.

If we trade back into the late first, I'll be pissed, because it'll kill our chances of filling 3 holes.

This is what I'd like the most although I would switch LB and WR if were picking at 8. If we trade down then I'd go WR/QB/LB/TE or QB/WR/LB/TE. The bulk or receiving talent this year is going in the late 1st, early 2nd rounds and, while you'd get you're pick at 8, there would be more worthwhile players still available.

  8. This team needs to hit on every single draft pick, an immediate contribution is a must. Unless you feel that there will be a slew of FA signings and UDFA impact signings we have 6 picks and the following holes:

    QB

    WR

    WR

    TE

    LB

    LB

    OL

    OL

If my math is correct that's more holes than picks. We don't have the luxury of taking a flyer on anyone.(IMO)

The way I see it, we really only need one more linebacker and one more wide receiver and we might not even need the linebacker. After that, the places we'll wanna upgrade are secondary, guard, receiver/tight end, and QB and we could skimp on one of those if we have to.
