  1. The NFL Network will be fine once they work out deals with the major cable systems. What I really want to see is cable snag the NFL Sunday Ticket away from the dish. It sucks because cable is a ton a cheaper, but I will get the dish just for those 16 Bills' games.
  2. Some really questionable calls today. There was also a pass inf. call that should have been. I know the college crews blow a lot of calls too, but at least the NCAA comes down hard on crews when they make major blunders, for example the Sooner-Ducks game this year. I hope the NFL at least talks to this crew.
  3. Does Willis want to be here? I would not be surpised if he bolts for a contending team with a better line. I think he plays hard, but he needs blocking capable of springing him for those big gains. I can see a lot of teams throwing money at him when he becomes a free agent.
  4. They should have sent those guys out there with umbrellas
  5. The sun was out of control in that end for most of the game, so I will give J.P. a partial pass on that one. He was under a lot of pressue today, so one tunrover looks promising. At least he got over his case of the fumbles.
  6. At least this cools down the drafting a QB talk for a week or so.
  7. We need an O-line. Joe Thomas and Levi Brown will likely be the first two taken. Thomas comes out of Wisc. and they have a good rep there for o-line. Look, there will be QBs in every draft and there are some great junior QBs out there. So, I don't think going QB this year is a great idea, unless USC's John David Booty comes out early is around somewhere in the second round. I think USC QBs are the real deal.
  8. The Bills really need to decide what they want to do with J.P this year. I think if you decide he is not your QB of the future, you go after a proven player. Simms would likely be the best value because he is not all that proven, but has talent. He is a bit more proven than J.P., but not by a whole lot. I think Schaub will see a lot of money from other teams because of the hype around him. My theory? Sign or draft a left tackle and other o-line players. Drafting a QB is just another three years of growing pains. P.S. I really don't like Brady Quinn. I would take a flyer on John David Booty out of USC, thought, because he should go later in the draft and USC has produced some great pros in the last few years.
  9. Good thoughts. Freeney also seems to be truly focused on the sack, something he can't buy this season. I really think running the ball is the key, but that is no new thought against the Colts. I think they need to use J.P's speed.
  10. Gringo, good pick. I think it could happen, esp. if the Bills run J.P. to the non-Freeney side. Why so sure?
  11. I would like to know how well he prepares. I am not asking him to live in the film room like Peyton, but he needs to study hard what he might see because he plays against two master mind coaches in the AFC East.
  12. If nothing else, J.P. deserves one more year to prove himself. His two major issues were getting the ball on target and avoding sacks. I think he has improve on both fronts this offseason. I think he has faith in his skills without being cocky, an issue you will remember he had coming out of college. If they use his running skills the right way, the Pats will have major issues.
  13. Who knows where Branch got this idea he was a number one WR. I wish someone would tell him how sweet a gig he was in the NE. He is on one of the best built teams in the NFL and gets plenty of touches because of the talent, or lack there of, around him. He should learn from Peerless Price and know a good situation when he is in it.
  14. It seems to me they are building the D first. Hey, it worked for Jauron once in Chicago. They rebuilt the backfield/ stocked it for the future. Do we think all the backfield drafting was to prepare for letting Nate Clements go next year?
  15. The O-line is going to kill the Cards this year. They have the best WR pair, but Kurt and Matt will be on their backs this year. They will have a better record than Bills only because they play four games against the 49ers and Rams, and they play a very weak NFC Central.
