I blame the media and leftist democrats for failing to disavow violent protests (i.e. mostly peaceful) and calling the shootings as 'unarmed black man shot by police' without gathering the facts about the justifiable conditions of the shooting.

I found it yesterday on Twitter. Someone had linked to it. It would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack on there now though. The internet is at your fingertips. You won't find, but so much on Google though because, well, Google. Feel free to search. It's a minor though so just keep in mind they try to protect them as much as possible after the fact.

I searched google yesterday and the searches revealed fact check that it was untrue.

so if we expand out from whether or not legally justified to how we would think shootings should happen on a broad level...

can’t see where he’s reaching - makes me uncomfortable to just shoot every time and call it good.

pulling knife- if you can’t give a bit of space then sure but if you can step back a bit to give buffer and continue managing the situation - I prefer that.

Gun involved - I skew pretty heavily to giving officers leeway once it’s a gun in hand.

No offense but a lot can happen in a split second and you have no idea what the police may have been thinking.  We do know at the moment of the shooting that the suspect was wanted on multiple warrants including domestic assault and felony sexual assault, was the reason the police were called there (domestic disturbance), had resisted arrest, a taser had been deployed, assaulted the police, failed to obey lawful orders to stop and get on the ground then reached into his car for something (a weapon?).

Watch this video and tell me  why police should never let a suspect get back to his car after resisting and assaulting police...

  5. They should just cancel the season.  Cops will continue to shoot criminals that resist arrest and assault officers.  Its the only way they can reasonably continue to support the actions of criminals.

Looks like keys to me.  The knife he wanted was on the floorboard of the car which was where he was headed.  Justified shooting imo.

Well, that may or may not be true, but it sure has been passed by with the other events of murder that happen with dreary regularity.

All money donated to BLM goes to actblue.org which donates to the DNC.

The vast majority of black lives last are at the hands of young black men.  But BLM  and the DNC don't care about that.

You are right. But the situation has deteriorated under Trump. After Trump endorsed police brutality to the roar of laughter and appaluse of police officers in a crowd the situation worsened.

No... the left continues to support the lie that he was murdered.

    Quote

On Aug. 9, 2014, Michael Brown, an unarmed 18-year-old black man, was shot and killed by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, in what the Obama administration’s Department of Justice determined was an act of “self-defense.” But Sens. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren referred to Brown’s death as a “murder.”

On the fifth anniversary of Brown’s death, Harris tweeted, “Michael Brown’s murder forever changed Ferguson and America. His tragic death sparked a desperately needed conversation and a nationwide movement.” Warren tweeted: “5 years ago Michael Brown was murdered by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Michael was unarmed yet he was shot 6 times.”

Why would they say that except to continue to inflame the BLM movement's violent protests which results in money donated to BLM getting funneled directly to the DNC.

You said it. I actually did not say Trump caused the riots. Just pointing out how under Trump we have racial riots in the streets.

With Obama it was a beer.

Maybe there is a connection. You say yourself that the riots are helping Trump. So ya, maybe something to that.

BLM was formed during Obama's presidency.

Unarmed Micheal Brown was shot and killed by a police officer.  He was ordered by the policeman to move to the sidewalk (he was walking down the middle of the road after having assaulted a shop owner and shoplifted cigars).  When he disobeyed the order the police man pulled up to him and that is when Michael Brown punched the officer in the face and reached in to take his gun.  The officer and Brown struggled with the gun until it went off, reportedly striking Brown in the finger.

Brown ran away and the officer chased him down.  Brown turned and charged the officer.  That is when the officer drew and fatally shot Brown. The DOJ and the State Prosecutor agreed it was justified.

Obama issued a milktoast response.  BLM  the organization started over a criminal that attempted to murder a police officer who was just doing his job.

Riots ensued over all of this and Obama owns that because calling out a criminal black man for making a mistake that cost him his life didn't fit the left's narrative that police are bad.

  9. Dont want to get shot by a cop. Follow these simple 3 rules.

    1. Dont commit a crime.

    2. If you commit a crime and have a a warrant for your arrest and are approached by police, do not resist and obey their commands.

    3. If you didn't commit any crimes and are approached by police do not resist and obey their commands.

Unfortunately this world is full of stupid people.

You have to be monumentally stupid to do what that guy did and NOT expect the cops to take you out, but it didn't require that many bullets to stop the guy. That struck me as excessive.

That should tell you something about the use of deadly force and the number of rounds are in fact not relevant.
