Now you see why I left this shithole.

    Welcome back.

I didn't notice DR got banned for calling out a disingenuous ass. I am furious about this. DR threads and posts were/are a wealth of information and so far many of the  things he has reported have been proven true.

Mods went too far on this.

What’s Trumps plan to improve the lives of black and brown folks other than to demonize them further impacting our moral perception as a nature to the rest of the world

Maybe having the lowest unemployment for minorities in history?

Didn't he also sign a law to free a bunch of people from prison for non violent criminals (mostly blacks)... cares act?

He has been calling out the looters and rioters and the communists running the protests (BLM) and rightfully so.

Our early republic tore down all sorts of statues, coat of arms, paintings, royal symbols, etc, seems to have worked fine.

MLK was labeled a communist, too. Lame

Being labeled and openly admitting your are Marxist is a totally different thing.

ETA... I was posting the above wiki link because just two days ago I looked her up and in the wiki page it was quoted as her being a self described Marxist.  The information has been removed from the wiki by someone.

I was thinking about this and, while it is true that any interaction could end up with lethal force, I think it's worth limiting to violent crimes plus weapons charges - which appear to be separate. This analysis was done in an effort to concisely summarize my take on the current ongoing discussion.

    1.thumb.JPG.714f56775bd020e9b4f6c120e65d0d13.JPG

I think generally this graph shows the injustice being protested. It is derived by the percentage of lethal interactions divided by the percentage of US population. As you can see, black Americans are the only demographic over 1, and they're over 1.5. Almost double the rate of the others. If this was what you focused on I could certainly understand the concern.

If you then look at the violent crime rate, a different picture is painted.2.thumb.JPG.0e04335d4d8f76771a03d69b742fb4c2.JPG

Violent is strictly violent crimes (murder, manslaughter, rape, assault, robbery) while violent+ also includes weapons offenses. This was in an effort to only include the likeliest interactions to get violent. It is found the same way as graph 1. Percentage of violent offenses divided by percentage of US population.

If you combine the two data points, you end up with the following:3.thumb.JPG.10eaf152dab898c9970825b238df18cb.JPG

So in other words, maybe Asians should be upset. In talking through this with my father, a retired officer, he speculated that the higher rate of Asian incidents could probably be traced to language barriers to some extent.

Anyway, just thoughts on the topic. Certainly open to discussion.

    Excellent analysis.

I think a lot of people are looking at the sheer number of African American deaths and not understanding the bigger picture.  When you have high crime rates you naturally have to dedicate police resources to it.  Which increases the likelihood of a violent encounter between criminals and police.  Likewise, a greater likelihood that police may have a heightened sense of caution when policing high crime areas.

Poor states run by Republicans. See?

Is there a correlation to higher crime rates?  Because Chicago/Il has one of the highest and the reason why I posted what I posted because of the Title of this thread.

Not sure what your point is.  I posted that Jackson Mississippi has the highest murder rate in that state which you mentioned in a previous post.  Jackson Mississippi is Democrat controlled.

I've been to Oxford.  Its the home of Ole Miss University.  Its a very small but very nice city. It may be classified as low income because the income is skewed because many of its residents are students?

Fine, and West Virginia has a Republican governor, so what's your point?

Mississippi has a Republican Governor. Alabama? Same.

Welfare was/is the biggest reason the black community has so many single parent families.

Once again, another democratic policy to keep the black community down.

Yep... Blacks were never 'forced' to live in the inner city.  They were drawn there by policies that enabled them to live without working.

    Section 8 housing

Welfare incremental increases based on number of children

    Food Stamps

All well intentioned programs that have had a net negative effect.  Provide sufficient incentive to not get a job/skill and you become dependent on government hand outs.  The cycle continues when Democrats continue to promise more of the same and you have a voting block that gives you 90+% of their votes.

Oh yes, a community that's suffered hundreds of years of oppression is not a paradise, imagine that!

    Democrat Controlled:

    • Mayor
    • City Council
    • District Attorneys
    • School Board
    • State House
    • State Senate
    • Governor

Its all the republicans and ESPECIALLY Trumps fault!

funny how most trump supporters would actually BENEFIT from a democratic socialist government. actually, they would be the first ones to benefit from it

Least educated voter group, poorest, unhealthiest...you need the government aid more than anything lol

Funny. My wife and many of her friends from the former Chechoslovaki immigrated here and or took part personally in the velvet revolution.

They are horrified at what people like you, Pelosi, Sanders etc ... are peddling.

We luckily have the ability to emigrate back if things go south. I doubt I would go though. I love my country. Unlike some who are too brainwashed to see through the bull#### of communism under a thin veil of social justice and socialist policies.

Why are Black and Brown people targeted by police? Why is our system comprised of the have and have nots? We need real social change and reckoning of our countries moral compass.

13% of the populations is responsible for 50% of the homicides.  Its not racist to target a portion of the population which is responsible for the majority of crime.  Note... its not because they are brown... its because the circumstances of which liberal policies (free abortions, section 8 housing, welfare for unwed mothers, "war on poverty", etc, etc...) have drawn them into the inner city hell holes that they are in.
