The only reason I could find for optimism with EJ was that he was on the field... which gave him a better chance for success at QB'ing an NFL team than, say, me, who wasn't on the field.
Allen actually has a reasonable shot at becoming a good quarterback!

Wait, no Pulled-Pork-on-a-Bun??!!
Next you'll tell me there's no Hot-Dog-on-Stick?
No Gilroy-Garlic-Franch-Fries with Chardonnay-Aeoli?
the NFL just doesn't care anymore
I'm taking my Man-Pesto and going home

The old-school Raiders didn't add the logo until the final cuts, I always thought that was cool.

Well you Americans have football and then three games I wouldn't watch if it was a choice between that and death.
It could be argued that when when your pinnacle of sport is prancing about and kicking a round object, you. could. just. be. less. evolved. )
No wonder we keep having to bail you out of your kerfuffles

I’m too lazy to do any actual research but I don’t believe we one a single preseason game during the Super Bowl years....
Sounds about right.

I hate how boring and efficient the new england patriots have made this game

Sitting down 32 to 13 or something in a Super Bowl, you knew they could do it. They didn't, but maaaaaan, you knew they could. What a great team

Finalized the deal on 51-3
Ya know, in the end I'm ok with it- The 90's Bills were easily the most fun team to root for of any major sports team of any era I've been alive for. That team was a blast!

No way around it, this was the game that started everything
And then they proved it the next week holy crap!!!

That was a magical year in my world- and my favorite Bills game from it!. Thanks OP! Hope some of the younger Bills fans have something like that to accentuate their youth, too!
Shoot, I had the Lakers, Dodgers and Bills... like I still do. I was a freshman in college, still buzzing from the greatest moment in baseball history, the Lakers were just taking their Showtime selves at the Detroit jungle-ballers after taking it to the greatest rival they could have ever had for the past decade... and then The Bills start pulling this siht!!! I was good looking and blessed... for a while heheheh

QB- I'm cerebel!
Staubach- he was the professional's professional at the position
Afterparty with Jim McMahon

We're the couple that doesn't touch each other..
Some brilliant ish in the small lines of this film

Joe cribbs, Steve Freeman, and most of all, Ferguson playing against San Diego. He had no business being in that game at all. It was one of the ballsiest performances in the history of the NFL

For whatever it's worth, I met a guy who's brother is a LB on Wyoming. Massively high teammates' opinion of him.

I lived in Portland during that era- before it became trendy, it was a gorgeous lost gem maybe even like Buffalo, but significantly cooler at the time.
but that doesn't matter, Gallo made a great film which may touch some heart-strings a bit tougher than comfortable, so what. He did it well, and it was a love story to Buffalo.

It's ok to admit it: Buffalo 66 sucked ass. Gallo is a LAMP director.
For the life of me I couldn't see what is wrong with the directing of that film. Are you confusing directing with unwanted concepts?
it was a beautiful indie film

Great film. One of my faves.

I fully bought in to the Torrell Troupe selection. I thought he was going to be a stud against the run. Oops

I wonder if he posts on a phone that has an "ellipsis button"
My father in law loves the ellipsis in his texts... Old man's posts look just like his texts, random ellipsis through
Maybe your FIL uses the epillipsis button...

...sure was.....he got all bent out of shape when his consecutive catch string was broken with zero pass attempts his way....had his "publicist(??)" reported that "Eric was very upset with the Bills organization because his consecutive catch string was broken"...a huge TEAM RECORD, right?...he got into a big tussle with Moolarkey and Ralph had to fly in from Detroit to hold his hand and calm the diva down...burned every bridge on his way outta town to Houston....sure he was on the roster through some very frustrating times, but take the high road out.......
He'd likely be a HoF candidate if he'd been drafted by a competent team. I have a really hard time begrudging him a catch streak along the way.

I really wanted Goodell to say Josh Rosen, instead he said Allen....I was very disapointed. I just dont see it.
Watched him talk football with Kirk Cousins on some pre-draft thing, a three part series, each video about 5 minutes. Doesn't change my overall disappointment with the hail mary pick, but at least Allen comes from a pro style offense with pro style terminology and reads. That does not mean he is ready for the NFL, and will really need at least a full year to sit and learn and prepare. I hope we give him that time.
While I don't like the pick over Rosen, or the fact that it feels like we got fleeced for both second rounders for just 5 spots (given what little AZ had to give up to go up 5 spots), but I am glad our FO had the conviction to identify their guy and then go up and get him. Now I will root with everything I have for the kid, and hope he can correct all of his many faults at the QB position and develop into what we have been missing since Kelly.
There is my rational take on a disappointing pick. (LOVE the Edmunds pick!)
I'm trying to come around to looking at it like this. I'm still thinking we just picked Todd Blacklege over Dan Marino, though. Grrrrrr

BS......every person within 100 miles of the FSU campus knew that was the dumbest move of the century. You take wild swings in the 7th round...which is where he shoulda gone.
9th round in a 7 round draft if you ask me. I watched him.

To add, we were a fricking joke before Nix got here- we haven't been since. Whaley got foisted upon the guy, and because it was a condition to get his one shot at being a GM in 73 years of honing his football craft, he had to take EJ's #1 fan on to be his appointed successor. What a mess Ralph created there.
I don't know Buddy Nix, but I am sick of the stupid **** some people like to belt him with.

Buddy was so obsolete as GM they should have had a display for him at the Smithsonian in the dinosaur section for him.
Bull crap. Nix was the best hire Saint Ralph made in his last 20 years of ownership.
Remember that Fitz/Fred/Gailey beat down on the Pats*. We were on the upswing, and that was definitely Nix's team.
It wasn't perfect, but the bitching about Nix, after what shape the team had just been through is definitely from the dumber quotient of our fanbase.

If you want to see the greatest display of teamwork, I've ever seen, check out the 80's Lakers sometime.
That was fluid, and that was teamwork, and that was one whole big ball of talent pulling it off. God love football and the Bills, because this is my sport and my team, but it's a herky-jerky collaboration of opposing sides under one banner who make up a football team.
The 80's Lakers were the greatest 'team' of my lifetime, and I hope our Bills can do something to even approach that.
