Saw NY for the first and so far only time 2 years ago on a solo tour- no lie, it was one of my top 3 concerts all time. He was mind-blowing good, not just 'excellent for an old guy' good.

BTW, he and The Who are playing the Hollywood Bowl in September, like 2 days apart- thinking about heading down there to get some El Coyote and catching a couple shows.

Caught Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds a few nights ago- first-time concert-goer, long time fan.

For those of you familiar with his music, I'd like to tell you that all hell broke loose in the meantime... and it did. )It was a ***** Fantastic show!!!
It started metered for a few songs, but then just exploded during Jubilee Street and was unstoppable from there. It was a great set that probed into so many places I'd either never heard or never considered, but came out on the other side of a song... just... so... damned... impressed.
Nick Cave is not nice music. Nothing is less than unsettling, but the ruthless is thoughtful, and the beautiful is nothing short of stunning. If you have a chance to see him, everything is meticulous.
This is what I saw the other night- yes he flubbed a lyric, and the audio does zero justice to the show, but I'm so glad somebody recorded the song:
