Lmao this happened in San Francisco
Why the Lmao - I lived there for a good long time, and it's not a rat-infested hellscape. You'd recognize most of the people I've known from there. They'd be your neighbors and friends in any other setting. Don't be a douche.

Love the screen name... but tell me was that name created because of the debacle against Miami when he touched the blocked kick and Miami scored and won the game, or is this a Super Bowl angst... or both... just wondering
Super Bowl!!!! And a Sam Peckinpah fan. Lee Marvin in the pic- love that crusty old illegitimate son too!

I figure it's about time Canada gets some appreciation here. #3 on the best Canadian songs ever:
Feel free to continue with the countdown until we hit # 1! -
Tecmo SB is the reason I was afraid of the Bills drafting DK Metcalf- Eric Metcalf was injured on every single play in that game. Seriously without fail the ambulance would come out for him every time he touched the ball hahaha.
I had one friend who got good enough with LT to be a pain in the ass, and another who took the 49ers and got good- but I had QB Bills to Reed 83, so I smoked all challengers. On defense, who cared- you could take anyone. QB Eagles was a blast to play too!
Original Tecmo sucked... mostly because the Bills weren't very good, (frustratingly underrated at that time) and the Dolphins had that 4-curl route play that was impossible to stop, because all DB's got pushed back on the curl- Japanese people were still working on how to understand American Football on that version.
They definitely were coming around when they designed the 120 yard pass-completion and the Tom Rathman FB-up-the-gut bloodfest in Super Tecmo. Now THAT was Football #1!!
Sorry, I don't have a number 2,3,4 or 5- I didn't play any other sport-sanctioned video games... I'm good at pool, ping-pong, scrabble and pastries though.

I kinda want to see Megaopolis- Sounds like Coppola's going real-life Colonel Kurtz, so I'm intrigued.
Getting back on topic, I have less than zero interest in anything superhero, so that knocked about 85% of recent Hollywood films out of contention for me.

Saw Allison Krauss and Robert Plant tonight- damn good show.
I've seen Allison Krauss several times going back to the 90's... I think, haha, but never Robert Plant. As usual for these old fogey shows, me 'n the gal were on the less arthritic portion of the spectrum. It's too bad the younger folks ain't catching some of this before it's gone.
Granted I got these tickets for my chick, after she gave me crap for not getting these tickets last year... but I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised.
I haven't listened to their collaboration studio albums so any of that was new to me, but I know some of Kraus's's earlier stuff, and I'd heard Plant's giant hit single, I'm in the Mood', so I felt reasonably prepared. One guy near us mentioned that Plant was in a popular rock group too, so I'll be sure to check into that.
It was kinda typical of what you'd expect from this kind of show, where they'd woo you in to start, then start mixing in some of the 'hey, it's a good time to hit the head and grab a beer' music, then thunder their way to a much-deserved encore cheer.
And they deserved it. Not 100% mutha-f'n top of the world baddass, but damn good. Plant doesn't have 'The Immigrant Song' in him anymore, but they worked together to make a magnificent 'The Battle of Evermore' and very dang good 'Gallow's Pole'.
- Loved that they opened with 'Fortune Teller' too!
Odd aside- as it turns out, I'm pretty certain me and Robert Plant have swapped air molecules. I had no idea what 'old man' Robert Plant looks like, just what I'd imagine 'age-progressed' Robert Plant would look like.
About an hour before the show, this yellowy white and grey, long curly haired guy was hanging in the commoners smoking area. He was busy talking to a couple road-aged old ladies, so I didn't interrupt, but I'll be damned if I didn't think it was either a Plant look-alike still playing his hand, or Robert Plant himself.
an hour later that dude was on stage. )

Sure, boss. Well, I've generally worked as a Post-Production Supervisor, Editor, Colorist and Sound Mixer.
It's been an interesting mix of boots-on-the-ground, and managerial- but I'm primarily hired because I see color really damn well.
And I'm pretty dang good at sound, but that's definitely secondary. - You may be better than me on knowing your audio tools, or not, but I know- and you should, that audio is 50% of the visual image.
Best wishes.

History. The US has been teetering off-kilter since 911. Weird sh1t's been afoot. Historically, both sides, Democrat and Republican, have leached off hopes, dreams, and good faith. Going back before 911, I despise Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich just about equally- they were both self-serving pariahs, societal leaches, problematic human beings who rose to prominence.
I tend toward socially Libertarian concepts, and fiscally lean toward social well-being programs. What some of you idiots will call a Socialist... negatively. Yeah, I don't want my parents, or yours, getting all hope and lifelong savings destroyed by scam-artists or medical bills, so yes, I am in favor of a strong Social Security system- radical, I know.
In short- get the goddam government out of my personal life- even though I'm a straight white male who mastvrbates certainly less than average, and I'll agree to help provide a safety net for myself and my fellow Americans.
I'm not going to get into an argument about which are the deserving Americans- I've got some bad-asses who kicked the ever-loving ***** out of the Third Reich in my family, and I also come from a family of immigrants.
I don't mind paying **** ing taxes to keep your streets safer, provide shelter to those who need it, and just to know that I am part of something greater than me.
Never forget that we are Americans. We've got a beautiful country- take a road trip to anywhere, just fvcking do it.
Well, anyway- somewhere behind all that rant is William F. Buckley Jr.
I generally wouldn't agree with him on the overarching approach, but kept in check, much like keeping excessive liberalism in check, he's someone worth looking into if you're a conservative, but maybe don't quite know what that means.

Listened to several minutes of his Asheville NC address, and while he's not nearly as horrifying as that Musk session, he's still 'schleeeing' all over the place- just not nearly as bad. The 'evil compressors' were picking it up in the Musk 'conversation', and may have been accentuating it... or he really was knock knock knockin' on assisted living's door. Good news for Melania- he doesn't sound like he needs an ambulance ride today. I'm sure they'll cut around the schlees on certain news outlets though.

the slur sound very much like compression in the high frequencies (the "ess" sound). if he has a lisp then you would likely hear it with other consonants like "th" which we do not.
i expect that next time we hear from trump he will sound like he normally does.
turn that de-esser down!
source: i work in audio
I've mixed sound on 40+ shows (national + international broadcast... with beautiful ratings... very very beautiful ratings), and supervised sound mix on about 150 more.
I have a bit of a clue.

Well, he can solve all this by making a brief appearance outside of a controlled studio/audio environment. A full day-plus later, and not a peep. Not suspicious???
