  1. he's on a roll...
  2. If something insane were to happen and RW would land on the Bills' 2015 roster, we'd automatically become SB favorites.
  3. It's really all that had to be said. Deflates his entire premise.
  4. I don't even know what the argument is anymore. Wilson is a top-15 QB. He will be paid like a top-5. He won't get the must lucrative contract in the league. Although, people will identify a specific metric to make that case.
  5. Seattle's defense has been ranked FIRST in points allowed in each of RW's seasons. Manning had that happen once in his 13 with the Colts. Another time they were second, but other than that, they never go higher than 7. Wanna bet?
  6. Oh, you know. Those NFL teams who subscribe to the "We'd score more TD's if we wanted to, we just don't want to" philosophy.
  7. p// Lately, strangling escorts hasn't been enough. For the past six months, I've been putting on their clothes and responding to their clients for a three or four days before I can get my own life back to normal. end// Edit: HEY WAIT A MINUTE
  8. Fine. He has a QBR of 12th. I'd say that's about right. Right outside top-10 in the league. I'm fine with that notion. Placing him in the top 5 ("elite"): crazy talk.
  9. If we subscribe to the notion that an NFL QB's primary objective is to pass, then I think Wilson has a ways to go before he's considered among the 'elite.' He's an exceptional game manager, I'll give you that. And I don't use that as a pejorative term, believe it or not.
  10. So the Bills only managed two more passing TD's in 2014 because they too have crappy receivers?
  11. That's actually categorically false. At least it was in 2014. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/sea/2014_opp_splits.htm
  12. We're just going to ignore Lynch being in the top-4 each of the last three years in yards and TD's?
  13. It was a game they should have lost because of him. He made some terrific plays to help them win, but they were predicated by severe mistakes made by the Packers on plays that if executed properly--and in both instances that wasn't asking too much--could have/should have sealed a victory.
  14. Um. Until the botched onside recovery led to a botched two-point conversion, Wilson's NFC Championship statline was: 10-25 for 103 yds 0 TD's and 4 INT's..and that was playing from behind. I don't think a quarterback who shares as many elite qualities as you've detailed here was EVER had a statline that gaudy. It also severely calls into question your evaluation of his 'elite decision making skills.' This game was played at home.
  15. If Wilson and Luck switched situations, the Colts would not have made the playoffs since Manning. Lynch plus that D = a VERY forgiving environment for Wilson to operate in.
  16. Clearly you have no idea what Spiller could do. For real though, this year will clear everything up. Until then, all we have to go from is what he's done and I'll be the first to admit that his body of work to date is not consistent with what he could do. But nobody ever made the HOF because of what they were capable of.
  17. Nobody here hates Spiller. There are just vastly different opinions on how to interpret what he's done to date. But absolutely no one hates the guy. I believe they offered him A contract.
  18. Yet, anyone in their right mind would call CJ's best season an aberration, at worst and a product of a very specific taylored-scheme, at best. He's never come CLOSE to replicating the production he enjoyed that year. I'll take a guy who's a steady stream of 7's and 8's over a guy who gets one 10 and comes in around 3 the rest of the time.
  19. The difference between Fred and CJ: Fans love Fred for what he's done. Fans love CJ because of what he's capable of doing.
  20. I prefer pepperoni on my pizza. Sausage is okay sometimes, and if my wife is in a bad mood and I just want to appease her, I'll spring for green peppers and onions. Who knows more about cars, you or Santa Clause?
  21. I guess what I (and others) are trying to grasp is why CJ's bad stats in 2013 don't count, while at the same time Fred's good stats don't count either.
  22. By 0.1 in 2014 and 0.3 in 2013. Meanwhile, Fred had 9 TD's to CJ's 2 in 2013. Are we counting that stat?
  23. Like button? Sadly, no. When they did an overhaul in like 2010 I suggested we get one, but alas. Thanks for the props, and yes, profootballreference is a GREAT tool!
