  1. DT is also a big need on this team not as high as DE or LB but still pretty high. Stroud and Williams wore down during the 2nd half of the season and teams were rushing against us pretty easily. With McCargo most likely gone next year we have no depth as I don't consider Spencer Johnson a true DT.

While we would all love to get Haynesworth, the more realistic option would be to sign Tank Johnson and pick up another DT late in the draft.

  2. I don't think we should draft a WR this year unless we can trade Roscoe in the Offseason. If we are able to do that I wouldn't mind drafting one on Day 2. Hopefully we can find that diamond in the rough kinda guy like the Broncos did with Brandon Marshall.

This is the year we need to go out and draft that stud TE which I believe will help take the pressure off this receiving core and free them up to make more plays.

  3. I don't think Fewell is the issue we went from the bottom of the league in Defensive rankings last year to middle of the pack. Pretty good job with the lack of pass rush and injuries we faced again this year. Other than absolutely hating the scheme we play, my only real complaint is that the D starts off way too slow. Teams push us all over the field and it takes this coaching staff too long to make in-game adjustments. This allows other teams to jump to early leads making it harder for a young offense like ours to overcome.

Lack of turnovers hurt as well but I will attribute that to the pass rush. Once we get a decent pass rush I think you will see those numbers improve.

  4. God I hope 2 DEs don't go in the Top 10 but this is going to be a extremely deep draft. I would love to trade down and stockpile draft picks. An extra 2 and 3 could go an long way to improving this team because it is going to be difficult to attract top level FAs to this team.

  5. I don't know how I feel about the possibility of him returning next year. On one hand if healthy is one less thing we have to worry about and probably wouldn't cost a lot to re-sign. That would be one less hole to fill and allow us to focus on other positions. On the other hand the decision to have surgery right before the season still irks me and having to watch Ellison start the entire year was painful.

  6. I doubt any safety would be able to make any plays on this team. In addition they are so god damn far off the ball due to our crappy scheme limits the opportunities to come down with an interception. Give any decent QB all day to throw and they are going to complete an high percentange of their passes. I will say as an whole the entire D needs to learn how to tackle better and take proper routes to the ball. There is no discipline as players are constantly out of position on an number of plays.

Training camp is a joke this team lacks the basic fundamentals of what it takes to be a good team like taking care of the ball and sound tackling. I look at the Dolphins and don't see an team that is better than us but they don't turn the ball over and play sound defense. I am envious as that should have been us this year winning the AFC East with the easy schedule we had.

  7. Uggh 11th again. If the 49ers pick up an DE we want in front of us I am going to be pissed. I wanted Patrick Willis that year so badly and leading up to the draft didn't appear the 49ers were going to draft an linebacker but being the Bills we get screwed somehow. As much as I like Marshawn rbs are a dime an dozen in this league just look at the Patriots playing with scrubs like Morris and Jordan.

Shows you how important having an real offensive line really is. Our line is overweight and overrated, I hate when these announcer's constantly harp on the fact that we have the heaviest line in the league like that automatically makes them good.

  8. Put Guard on that list too Dockery should be ashamed of that performance today. Getting beat all day long luckily Trent didn't end up getting severely hurt. Royal, Dockery, Kelsay, Fowler are what's wrong with this team and should be shown the door as quickly as possible. This is what happens when you go the cheap route and still have to overspend to sign these bums instead of the top players at those positions.

  9. I think it makes more sense to sign Greer long term now and let McGee go next year. McGee will be pushing 30 and will probably command more money on the free agent market than what we would have to pay Greer. Talent wise I think both are similar with McGee having the slight edge. We would have 2 backups with Mckelvin and Youbouty, both capable of taking over in case of an injury which is normally the case with this team.

  10. I think the obvious answer is DE we have too much money tied up in the position to pick one up in FA. I like Terrell Suggs but as an OLB who can line up at DE in passing downs, heres hoping Baltimore decides to re-sign Ray Lewis and Bart Scott instead.

Center would be a reach Mack is not a consensus 1st rounder and can be had in the late 1st or early 2nd round. In addition there are other centers who are available. I think you have to spend our 1st round pick on the D-line. DT would not be a bad choice either. Not familar with the top prospects but we lack depth and our run defense has struggled after a strong start. I think for guys like Stroud and Williams fatigue has set in as we are having trouble stopping the run again and teams are gashing us for big runs.

Good Linebackers can be had later in the draft and the only one I would consider in the 1st would be Aaron Curry if available. I would like to Bills to pick an Lb who is versatile that can cover both the pass and the run someone like Adalius Thomas of the Patriots.

It hurts that we have so many holes to fill otherwise TE would have been a great choice. I think this is going to be an extremely deep draft where you will still be able to get talented players in the later rounds. I wouldn't mind trading down to get extra picks but that hasn't been something this organization has liked to do in the past so I don't see things changing.

  11. Here is an link confirming the news.

Instead of signing 3-4 middle of the road/average FAs. Haynesworth should be our only FA target. I don't care what it takes make him the highest paid defensive player in the league. We can completely remake our D-line by drafting an DE in the 1st round. Also, I would try to trade Kelsay and his albatross of an contract to anyone that it is interested what we get in return would not be important.

  12. JP has the pocket awareness of a blind and deaf person horrible call by Jauron when we were in total control of the game. The only positive thing to come out of this game is that we get a higher draft pick.

People are predicting this draft class maybe the deepest one to come out in an long time with an higher number of underclassmen declaring. Teams may be able to rebuild an entire team with a solid draft. Due to the collective bargaining agreement expiring shortly many people are speculating there will be a an cap on rookie salaries forcing many college players to come out early. Brandon has a tough decision who to blame this mess on is it the talent evaluators bringing these players in or is it the coaching staff who can't put them in the best position to succeed.

  13. When Ralph Wilson mentions talent being the main issue why we aren't winning. I don't know if that is the case anymore. We see former players who no one believes is starting material yet they are making significant contributions on other teams. However, when they played here in Buffalo they were nothing special just another guy.

I don't think we are going to see a winning franchise until major changes are made both in the Front Office and Coaching Staff. This team looks totally unprepared to play Sundays and are at a competitive disadvantage each and everytime they step on the field.

  14. I can't believe we are still discussing JP being the starting QB of the Buffalo Bills. It is over for JP and once Trent is healthy enough he becomes the starting quarterback of this team again. We have already been down the path of destroying an young qb's potential lets not do it again.

JP is gone next year and there is no way he is going to be dumb enough to stick around. If Trent is healthy he should play to gain experience that will serve him going into next year. We don't need another Holcomb situation where the coach is trying to save his job by getting another few wins under his belt. Look at the Giants which stuck with Eli when he was going through his ups and downs they could have easily put in Kurt Warner while they waited for Eli to develop. Even just last year before the Giants won the Superbowl people were questioning Eli's skills and whether he had it in him to be a winning QB in this league.
