    I agree with this take.

I am taking the 4-5 yds there in that situation. If the play was to go to Shakir in that spot then I question the play call and timing of it. We needed the higher percentage play there with the amount of time remaining knowing KC was moving ball with ease against this defense. I would then have gone for it on 4th down if we were unable to convert and it was close enough. Put the ball in your best player's hand and allow him to make something happen. Same thing with 3rd down take what was given to give yourself a shot at converting it on 4th if you needed to.

He made the right read IMO.  Give it 0.01 of a second more of protection and he hits him wide-open in the end zone.  And as much as ppl say he had the easy first down.  That same defender that bumped him was directly in between him and the Diggs open for the first.  If allen attempts that pass and it's batted down, you'd all be saying he had a guy wide-open in the end zone.

Ball should have been out before he even got hit. Diggs was immediately open once the ball was snapped. On 2nd and 9 I am giving it to my playmakers to go and try to make something happen. Knowing I have 2 more downs to try and get the first if it is close as we were trying to play the clock and score TD at the same time.

I rather lose with the ball in my best player’s hands versus settling for a FG there. 4th and 9 we didn’t have much of a choice. If we could have gotten it to closer to a first. I am letting Josh try to convert knowing KC would probably drive for the winning FG regardless if we tied it up. So for me on 2nd and 3rd downs. I am looking to scheme someone open underneath to gain a few yards versus going for the kill shot at that moment in the game.

Yep and Rodgers contract was too big to trade too. Er I mean Carson Wentz. I meant Russel Wilson. I meant Deshaun Watson. Must be that low IQ

Notice the entire list is primarily QBs. In a league full of bad QB play you have teams who will make a move at finding someone even remotely competent. How many teams going to be interested in 30yr WR. I will be surprised if Diggs is moved this offseason.

No way McDermott is fired. We went from 6-6 to AFCE champs and #2 seed, all after firing our OC. The defense was absolutely decimated by injuries. Healthy defense Bills beat the Chiefs no doubt. Question should be, will Brady be back. He did a good job, the running game improved. The passing game declined. Don’t feel he was utilizing Diggs correctly. Allen played better down the stretch, but I don’t think that was Brady’s doing. In an interview on McAfee, I think it was Morse who said that after they fell to 6-6 Mcdermott basically just cut the team lose and told them not to worry about mistakes and to just go out their and play. Morse said it took the pressure off the players.

This told me that Allen was being held back until it was loose and over time. Which I get to an extent, they don’t want him to get hurt. But I don’t care anymore, just let Allen be him. We need to play with the heart that this team played with after we fell to 6-6 every damn game. Hopefully Mcdermott learned from that and doesn’t hold these guys back again.

The focus now needs to be, get the best option for OC in here. Get a legit deep threat. Improve the pass rush and get our Poyer and Hyde replacements.

I am not handing Brady the job before at least bringing in other candidates for an interview. Blame the personnel but the passing offense has progressively gotten worse since the bye week last season.

  5. Didn’t love the first down call to begin with. However, 2nd and 9 I am trying to scheme someone open underneath to make it 3rd and manageable. Then from there give option for Allen to run if play presents itself and if nothing is open to get as close as possible to that first down. If it was 4th and less than 3 then I am going for it no questions asked. Put the ball in your best player’s hand and go for the Win.

  6. How long were they waiting to unleash that play all season. Should have buried us there but once again they dangled the carrot in front of Bill’s fans before taking it all away. I thought we would find way to pull it out after that fumble in the endzone but we didn’t make enough plays in the 2nd half after outplaying the Chiefs in the first half.

I have no problem with taking a shot to a WIDE OPEN receiver in the end zone in this situation. Especially on 2nd down.

people arguing the check down to Diggs are really arguing they want to milk the clock and settle for overtime. That’s the mentality. Milk the clock, play conservative and kick a 28 yard Fg after going ultra conservative in the red zone after picking up the first down to Diggs.

so play for overtime. A loser mentality.

No I am trying to get that first down and if it is close going for it on 4th down. If we were going to lose I rather ball be in Allen’s hands and taking my chances.

The problem is he isn't getting paid like one. Hes one of the top paid kickers in the league.

What would you have done there though, go for it on 4th and 9?

You have to take the points and bass has to make the kick to give your team a chance

Definitely wouldn’t have gone for it from where they were but the calls preceding it should have been looking to get that first down versus going for the TD there. If it was 4th and short I am going for the W there instead of tying it up.

  9. Bass missing was probably only going to delay the inevitable and that was Mahomes driving down the field for winning FG. So I am not going to kill him when there is plenty of blame to go around.

  10. It doesn’t matter what the fans want. Terry is not going to move on from McDermott at least not this year. However, for me he needs to be on the hot seat this upcoming season as team has clearly underperformed. If McDermott can’t get team to the next level it is time to move on and pair Josh with offensive minded HC. Watching the offense this season was like pulling teeth and just painful to watch.
