  1. Seriously, too many people are on their high horse about Vick. I'm a prosecutor...have been for over 7 years now. Day in and day out, I send people to prison for crimes ranging from stealing a car right on up to attempted murder. These guys go in, do their time, and come out and do the same sh-- over and over again, sometimes they do worse. Give Vick some credit for trying to resume a normal life and make something of himself instead of being some low life convicted felon who continues a life of crime. He looked more comfortable that Edwards out there on the passes he threw.......... Oh, and Peters sucks.

As a police officer and someone who comes into personal contact with people like Vick I have come to be able to spot a sociopath when I see one. Vick is a sociopath and I guarantee you he will commit crimes again, be prosecuted again and go to prison again.

If you honestly believe that he has turned over a new leaf (he's been out for what 6 months?) I dare question whether you are a prosecutor or not. Please don't let the law enforcement community down by being duped by this scumbag.

  2. Moss scores again...

Didn't you hear from everyone on this board though? Preseason means nothing, come opening day I bet the Bills offense is perfect and the Pats will suck, Jauron will beat them this time, not really though.

I love what some people will tell themselves to avoid facing the truth (complete failure again).

Pats will kill Buffalo on opening day, makes me sick because for the 8 months out of the year that I have no Bills I'm usually depressed and opening day is better than Christmas. Looks like another dysfunctional holiday for us suckers.

  3. First of all, misleading title, with a "Corner" also on the roster.

Second, who is still on the floor after this one:

I for one will admit that I've regularly bitcched about the 10 yard cushion that is given by our CB's to opposing WR's. I always thought it was part of the scheme of the poontang-2 defense though.

I'm stunned to find out that the cushion is actually a choice by the corner. I guess I still blame Fewell (a former DB coach IIRC) for not addressing this problem three years ago when his db's were regularly getting beat underneath via the slant.

Just another example of horrible coaching and the complete failure of this staff to instill a tough approach by the players.

  4. Another completely overblown media story. He had a drink, just as every American has the right to do. And it was in an AIRPORT, not some shady club.

The thing that concerns me about the situation is that Vick was drinking a Greyhound. Come on Michael, that's a little feminine isn't it? What has prison done to this guy?!

Anyone who honestly believes that Vick's "change" is for real is just falling victim to the charm and proper word selection of a sociopath.

Vick has not changed one bit, he got caught doing something horrific and is very good of putting up the facade of caring now, Vick did not choose to stop dog fighting on his own. He was caught, if he hadn't of been caught he would probably be killing a dog with his bare hands as we speak.

  5. Firstly, they have practiced against a 3-4 during TC, just not predominately.

Secondly, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, and it's exactly what they should be doing. TC has less to do with preparing the starters for the season than it does re-ordering your depth charts, which means your own guys have to know YOUR defensive packages at this point in the year more so than the starters need to know your future opponents'.

Pull the broken glass away from your trachea, TSW.

They have been using it in practice? Has this been stated by anyone? It seems that the starting QB and head coach think otherwise. Trent admitted not seeing any scout team defense in training camp as did Jauron according to a Tim Graham blog.

As for the whole conept of using TC just to re-order depth charts I'd have to 100% disagree when talking about a team with thrice consecutive 7-9 seasons and a complete inability to deal with the 3-4 defense. If this team is using TC to just have a good look at the 2nd and 3rd stringers then there is an implied acceptance of the garbage heap which is the current first team. Maybe the Colts, Pats and Eagles are afforded this luxury that you speak of but not Jauron's frequently mediocre Bills.

Bills went 1-8 last year against the 3-4, Bills go all of training camp without even facing so much of a look of the 3-4 defense. Bills face the 3-4 in preseason against the Packers and look horrible, even worse than last year. The problem has not even been freaking examined by the Dicktard.

While I do appreciate a well placed suicide reference I think most people here rightly see strong reason to have concern with appears to be yet another sub .500 season.

  6. Edwards is taking stabs at the coaching staff being as subtle as he can be. There is no reason for him to reveal that kind of stuff. What he is saying "Hey look...we never prepare..."

While I normally would agree with not calling out a coach for any reason I'll make an exception here.

This is a glaring example of why Dick Jauron is nowhere near head coach material in the NFL. To fail to practice against the type of defense/offense that your upcoming opponent uses is absolutely unforgiveable. If I was Ralph Wilson and I came to know this information I would fire Jauron on the spot, in front of all the players.

Edwards exposed Jauron and the situation and also offered a perfectly plausible reason why the Bills suck against the 3-4. Now I can only hope that Jauron will make an adjustment here and start using the 3-4 in practice but I think it'll go something more like this:

Anyone with an IQ above 23: "Hey Coach Jauron, now that everyone knows the reason that we suck against the 3-4 is because we don't practice against it do you think that we should try it now? Maybe it'll help us progress and actually beat a division opponent"

Coach Jauron: "No, I think we need to keep doing what we've always done. If teams know that we are now practicing against the 3-4 I bet they won't use it against us"

Anyone with an IQ above 23: "Are you fukking retarded?"

  7. It gets better. 3-4? Why should we bother practicing against the 3-4?

    http://blogs.buffalonews.com/billboard/200...ions-in-gb.html

    Heaven help us.

If there is no other reason for Dick Jauron to be fired immediately it is right there.

I suspected that in practice they weren't seeing much 3-4 but to have the starting QB not only confirm it and also in a way question the logic behind not facing it is downright disgraceful.

I'm going to go punch myself repeatedly now.

  8. 56,000 season tickets holders should be able to make it pretty ugly for Jauron, Russ and Ralph to show up for home games.

might be interesting to watch who is the scapegoat

At the same time those 56,000 season ticket holders are part of the reason that this ongoing debacle has not changed. As long as folks continue to pony up the money and Ralph's bottom line looks solid why would he wish to change anything?

  9. Go !@#$ yourself you idiot. Sorry I'm not a whiny female dog. And I would love to see you ever say that to me in person. It's awesome being able to insult people without the threat of getting your ass kick, huh tough guy? You're a joke.

Haha great response!! you guys should duke it out!!!

  10. I'm still a Jauron backer. The guy is a leader and a teacher who played the game and whom the players respect and play hard for. The problem is the talent on the roster. This O-line is just horrible. After watching three preseason games, sorry to say Hangartner is no better than last year's starting center Duke Preston who is now a 3rd stringer in GB. Levitre couldn't carry Dockery's jock. That's a pretty good indicator of just how piss poor the talent is. And they draft an undersized DE in Maybin who's a project and not expected to contribute this year holdout aside. The only guys that are legit quality starters are Lee Evans, T Owens, M Lynch, M Stroud, A Schoebel (maybe but getting old), T McGhee, and maybe E Wood ( rookie). That's it...Billichek couldn't win with this pile of crap.

Don't you think that Dick Jauron has a say in personel matters? This is Dick's team, Dick's system, you bet your bottom dollar that Dick Jauron has a very large say in who comes to and departs from this team. Maybe Dick Jauron and Russ Brandon have never actually met? I guess that's possible, highly unlikely and incredibly stupid but still possible.

Seriously, Dick Jauron has a large involvement with the talent level (or lack thereof) on this team which IMO gives him even more culpability when it comes to the perpetual suckiness of this franchise.

Not to mention that this is his 4th year of drafting/FA acquisitions/potential coaching changes etc etc.

  11. I know its a crazy thought, but why not let Fitz run with the first team next game to see how he'll do? Trent, even though I'm pulling for him, doesn't too sharp...thoughts?

I don't think it can hurt given the fact that the Edwards led offense has orchestrated exactly 0 TD's in the preseason.

Cue the "it's the preseason and doesn't matter" statements. Apparently our coaching is so genius that we don't want to show other teams that we can get into the end zone. Maybe Jauron feels if the first teamers don't score at all then our opponents will only play defense with 7 players, then you just wait and see what happens. Put 11 Bills against 7 Patriots and it gets ugly real quick, I'm talking 3 yards per carry ugly.

  12. If Hangartner's performance this past game in the pivot is what we have to look forward to with 3-4 defenses this year, then this line needs to formulate soon. I know that having two rookies playing next to each other isn't ideal, but they are both intelligent and I believe they would be able to handle the responsibilities. Wood would be solid in the middle! Kent Hull part deux...

Which is amazing given that one of Hangartner's supposed great qualities was his ability to take on the tough NT's in the NFL. I'm not sure if I saw it right but it looked as if Geoffy boy may have been sexually violated on a few plays.

  13. Crappers.

Let us all pray that Maybin fires up his competitve spirit more than the stiff competition from Kelsay and Denney.

Even if Maybin steps up and is lights out the best DE on this team by week 1 I guarantee you that he will not get the starters role. Dick Jauron shows much preference towards veterans, hence his absolute love affair with Anthony Thomas whom I'm pretty sure I saw rifling through my neighbors recycle bin this morning.

Time for a purge at One Bills Drive. Empty house, pay Bill Cowher 30 million to come in and truly rebuild.

  14. Hmm, kind of a bummer for him, although I'd be glad to not have to face him in week 2.

Good point, he probably would have been super motivated and able to make all the plays since very little has changed since his departure.

I always liked him as a player and would love to know the inner workings of last year's situation with his sudden departure.

  15. Kelsay is awful and we know where his play tops out. Not at a very high level. We can give a shot for some guys like Ellis and Copeland; they really can't be worse (how can you get less sack production? How can you get knocked further back in run the game?) but the upside potential is there.

Whitner is a non entity throughout his career; sorry to be the one to break the news. Tough, sure, I guess. Speaks his mind, ok. Still expensive and we theoretically have better in Byrd for free safety and I think Scott has locked down SS. Move Whitner on show the rest of the veteran starters that no one is inviable, maybe they will play a little harder they looked very lackadasical yesterday.

Might I remind you of when he intercepted Brady in his first game ever? That was a great play in 2006.
