It isn't racism, exactly.  There are more black QBs in the league than I can count without doing more work than I want to.  Kaepernick is being blackballed because he insisted on bringing attention to a problem the NFL wanted kept quiet, and because a third of America foolishly believes everything Trump says.  Trump used Kaepernick's protest as one of his many wedge issues, and his followers lapped it up.  And now the cold-eyed NFL figures bringing Kaepernick back would not gain it anything and would cost it a lot of Trump's followers.  For a heartless, soulless, amoral league, this is an easy decision.

just cause you don’t wanna count how many black qbs are in the league doesn’t make this not racism.

Colin Kaepernick’s attorneys could use the many chances and contracts Peterman has gotten coupled with a video of Petermans first half of his first start as a Bill as Exhibit A in a lawsuit against the NFL.

omg, it’s almost criminal that this guy can get signed before someone like CK who is just much, much, much, much, much better than him. This racism is very real.

    have you seen him play?

he barely produces as a receiving RB.

"We get it, you want Josh to stop running. That’s not going to happen. It’s a massive part of his game and it is what makes the Bills offense dynamic. He’s the one explosive playmaker that they have in the backfield. He needs to take care of the ball better and take a few less unnecessary hits. "

TJ Yeldon brought up the issue of why is our qb running so much and holding his knee after hits.

Ding, ding, ding. There's the bell. We have a winner.

I'll remember all this talk after Matt Barkley is playing. I just don't get it. Anyone look at Lamar Jackson play football and go "that's gonna last"? I didn't think so. I just really hope he can develop as a passer.. otherwise we're gonna be a gimmick offense and fun during the beginning of every season.

It’s not just about sliding. It’s about avoiding contact and using the sidelines. At least that’s mostly what I see from Lamar and Wilson. They get a nice little scramble and use the sideline to avoid being hit. Josh tends to lower his shoulder and get the extra yard or two in those situations. I haven’t watched much of Murray but like others say Murray and Wilson were bigtime baseball players along with football so they’ve been practicing sliding their whole lives.
Brady slides out of pure terror as he cannot handle taking a hit anymore whereas Allen seems to enjoy some contact in his game. As he matures or the coaches get mad he’ll learn to avoid more hits. Another thing to keep in mind is those other quarterbacks are not running many if any designed quarterback runs. Their scrambles are mostly broken plays or a judgment call to run and break the pocket. Josh has designed runs which puts him almost in a Derrick Henry powerback kinda situation coming around the corner

word. it's just that to me it's not about ability, it's what he's trying to do. josh is lowering his shoulder not because he has to and can't get out of the way, but because he either wants to compete his ass off, impress that upon his teammates/coaches or make a point that he is part superman. in any of those cases, he is always able to use the sidelines and avoid contact by sliding with his current athletic makeup/ability. he just chooses not to, that's what I was trying to say. he has the ability while running to minimize hits and stay healthy just like every one of those qbs - Wilson, Jackson, Murray, etc. he just isn't choosing to do that. that's not a limit of his athletic ability or body makeup, just how he's approaching it.

Josh is never going to be as fast or shifty as those other guys. He’s not built to make people miss down field. He’s a bigger target. There’s tons of reasons why he’s never going to be the same kind of scrambler as Murray or Wilson or Lamar. And those reasons are why he’ll never avoid hits the same as them. Those are not learned talents those are god given my friend.

so how does one execute the popular move known as the "qb slide"? Like even Tom Brady can slide right? Like you don't have to be gifted athletically to slide. So, I understand a little better what you're trying to say I just don't agree.

To be fair, we’re comparing a motorcycle to an SUV here. Murray is smaller and faster.
Let’s be honest, the 6 foot 5 quarterback isn’t exactly supposed to be a scrambler. We can all agree the hits need to be limited but if you’re expecting he’ll turn into a Murray or Wilson or even Lamar that’s just not gonna happen.

why not? he can't learn?? I'm so confused by your response. He is 6'5" and can scramble with the best of them... so, why is he very agile but then not agile? I don't really get what you're trying to say.

  8. I mean, whatever the stats say. Watch that game and tell me you didn't hold your breath every time Josh Allen takes off on a run and tries to find out how much superman he's got in him. To me it's like having a dog that will push him or herself past their own limit. You as the owner, handler, caretaker have to be aware of this and manage them accordingly. Daboll and McDermott need to do a much better job of this. That's not a winning formula for 16 weeks. That's how you win 1 game in a vacuum and don't worry about whether or not your starting qb is gonna be able to suit up and play each week. I mean, since I have no control over it I'll sit back and watch like the rest of you guys. But this Daboll dude seems to really want Matt Barkley to play.

The Cover 1 video was great, but to be honest, it just included "wins" and not the full picture of Epenesa's game.

I watched several complete Iowa games on Youtube, particulary of the grudge match, strong competition and bowl game variety, which is how I like to get the measure of a prospect.   Not every play is a "win" and I learn just as much -- sometimes more -- watching where he didn't make a highlight (or even effective) play.   It's the best way to see the pros and the cons of a player's game, in my estimation.

IMO, Epenesa is a very raw -- but moldable -- player who still has a ton to learn.   But also a guy who can grow to be a better version of Lawson in a year or two.   That might seem like a low ceiling, but a consistent 6.5-7 sack guy who can also set the edge and play the run well in a rotational role is a very valuable player...

Seems like a high ceiling to me!  Getting AJ at 54 with him begin able to eclipse a 1st round pick in short order.   I also think his man-strength power game is gonna translate and flourish after a year or 2 in our strength and conditioning system.

Our DL rotational subs are set. Finally we have  WR1. Now let's draft a complimentary RB and a young promising WR. Maybe a diamond in the rough RT? Don't know enough about these FA LB's to get excited.

You gotta remember CB dawgs.  Round 2 pick if they stay put is CB.  They may trade up for one or EDGE but I feel the smart money is on CB in round 2.

Then I think we take a hard look at RB round in 3, OL/LB/S round 4
