  1. I love the aggresive moves. I'm in the mindset we need to rip off the band-aid... reset... and prepare for Allens back 9. We can not do that if we keep kicking the can down the road. Time to bullet bite, get younger and create cap space for this year and have cap space flexibility for the next few.

  2. I do not understand the lack of patience for Von Miller in regards to him coming back from a torn ACL. To play at a high level that injury needs a solid year before you can really start to see the player return to form. So much negativity towards Von and I do not get it given the situation.

The fact is, Von did the Bills a huge solid here with this renegotiated contract, which I never expected.

now we have to sit back and see what he can bring this season. He can be our Ace in the hole this year, or we can realize he never recovered from the ACL... but we have to wait and see.... and then judgements can be made.

You can start by watching one the 1,000,000 cap assessment videos members have posted.  There are plenty of things Beane can do to create cap space by restructures / extensions, etc.  he can also by back load FA contracts and add void years until some of these bad contracts come off the books.  Your assessment of not adding FAs and next year being a reset year is baseless and talking in the definitive voice, like your in the know, makes you sound ignorant.

    Nope.

I shared my opinion and now you can choose to ignore it

Doug Whaley was an awful GM.  Am awful GM would not try to add talent at the WR position through FA.

Ok we are/were 40 million over the salary cap, we need more cost controlled players on entry level deals, not FAs which will cost much more. We do not need anymore void year deals either.

We have no real need for #3 #4 or #5 WRs on this team. We need a player capable of being a #1b to Diggs #1a and that player in FA will cost closer to $20 million.

So now since you so gleefully assumed I am Doug Whaley, you explain how we can do that and fix our cap situation, fill all our holes, without adding more trouble in 2025 - 2026 and have a bonafide replacement when Diggs is no longer with us.

No we are not looking at FA for much of anything this year. Its a reset year and there will be some pain.

Why do you believe that? You don't think they try any FA WR's at all?

NO .  The only FA WRs we would be interested in are #4 or #5 WR, and I don't even think we are looking for those types, maybe a late FA WR to have as a camp body

We need a Diggs future replacement, and we can't even afford to think about that level of FA WR do to cap concerns.

Just a friendly reminder Doug, you are no longer the GM!  BTW Watkins and EJ suck!

yeah we can take that one a little further. Just keep searching the intranets till you find a pundit saying what you wanted to hear.

  7. The best we will do is low budget round out the roster FA pick ups. There will be no splash or wow signings. We need to get younger and we need cost controls to be ready for Allen's 2nd half of a career run.

  8. I would say the % of top FAs  that did make a difference to their new team in regards to playoff and SB outcomes is smaller than the the amount of FAs that didn't have a major impact. But thats me just spit balling... I really have no data to back that theory up.

The best most successful teams always do the bulk of their work in the draft IMO.

I’m not sure if Jones touched him or Dawkins got pushed back into him, but it was not a clean throw.

You can decide to be angry because we can’t quite get over the top in the playoffs with the Chiefs in our way, or you can focus on how close we are. I’m with McD in this case, they can get this done.

Dawkins was bull rushed right into Allen. He came into camp clearly not in shape and then we see plays like this one when the season is on the line. Dawkins is one of our better OL, but we need to be better that this is we actually want to win it all.

This has been on my mind a lot since my grandson forced me to watch the "Pro Bowl" competitions. My wife was there and said "Payton Manning is my favorite QB of all time, next to Jim Kelly" and I can dig that, I LOVED watching Manning play.  But it got me to realize how much I miss watching him play.  Along with guys like Kelly, Elway, Marino, Moon, Young, Montana, etc.

Many of us have been a Bills fan for a long time and we desperately want a Superbowl win, but are we cheating ourselves when it comes to Josh?  I say this because I sat back and thought about how much I missed watching those guys play and it hit me, Josh just finished year 6, how many more do we have him?  6-8 More years is my guess so he might be halfway through his career already, and all we can do is talk Superbowl.

Maybe we are missing it?  We have THE best QB (A pure generational QB) in the NFL and I think we want a Super bowl for us and him, so bad that we aren't just sitting back and enjoying watching him play, enjoying what we have.  I plan on trying to just sit back each game and enjoy with my grandson watching Josh just sling the damn ball around the field, and hopefully, we get a title in the process.

I bitched when Kelly through an untimely INT or when we couldn't get something going. BUT in no way do I look back at that era and say to myself " I should of enjoyed it more". In fact its quite the opposite.

Same for Josh. I bitched when he plays hero ball and throws an INT, or when he refuses to take the underneath stuff that is clearly there, but I also know Josh is the best QB to ever put on a BIlls uniform and none of that is lost on me.

Hopever without a SB win its just another Buffalo Blown opportunity, and that is something I will continue to bit ch about. Even if we do get to the SB and win it, if we look like chit anytime after that I'm still gonna b it ch, because the only goal is to win championships.

I AIN'T MISSING CHIT, I'm emotionally smack dab in the middle of it

  11. there were 2 X-Flares on our Sun over the last 24 hours.... That might have something to do with it

For those who have never heard about it look into the  Carrington Event. Massive solar storm that took out telegraphs and had an Aurora that was visible in the tropics.

Now imagine what that would do to our Society today when that happens again

I’m saying, eat it this year.  Eat the dead cap, cut the fat and rely on rookies/coaches to make a difference.  Diggs and Miller CAN both go, it’s going to hurt.  I’d take it for one year vs another year of nothing and no advancement towards a title.

rip the bandaid off, I agree. Salary Cap Gymnastics can work for a couple of years but at some point you have to reset

I hope your right but QBs that play like Josh don't last playing at a high level past 35. We seen Cam break down at 30. So unless Josh changes his game and becomes more of a pocket passer it's more then likely he won't play till 38-40

What happened to Cam wasn't because he was running to much. He actually hurt his shoulder trying to make a tackle after throwing an INT

Josh could get injured and fall off a cliff, its possible, but he has also proven to be quite durable. I view Josh as a QB who play well into his 30s, but no there is never a guarentee in football.

    You're right.

We should definitely be making sb appearances every single year.

    LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

    And learn to spell ;)

We haven't made a single appearance and Allen has been playing at the top of the game

I'll let the rest of the Bills fans here deal with "LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS" comment.
