So…. The players had no fire and no urgency in the game at all. The coaches apparently didn’t notice this like some of the players did and did nothing about it. I understand the players need to play the game. But when things like this happen on a grand scale, when it’s not just one player, it’s a coaching issue. At the very least the coaches needed to rein it in and change something.
I think that what you said right here is the thing that fans have latched onto all off-season, and frankly what scares us more than any personnel losses or future salary cap constraints.
When you have a staff that isn't capable of reading the room or properly adjusting to these types of in-game circumstances, that's when it's hard to envision a Super Bowl victory no matter how great our QB is or how much talent we acquire
I was in the stands that day, and it absolutely stood out to be the most lifeless performance I've seen in the 50 or so games I've been to over the past 30 years
It felt like the game was over in the first quarter and we were just waiting for it to officially end.

I'm OK with this as a depth move. I mean - he's no Vlad Ducasse though...

I dont recall this, can you please refresh my memory?
He did take some awful angles, a rookie I can understand but not as klong as he was here.
I think it was in the Patriots game where Belichick threw the phone - Jaquon Johnson took the direct snap on a fake punt and threw a first down pass to Siran Neal
But whatever games he ended up starting last year, he took some atrocious angles on tackling ball carriers. I seem to recall someone taking one to the house, or just a very long gain on one of his whiffs.
Just didn't display the instincts or athleticism to be even an NFL-backup caliber safety
And whatever he brings on ST can and should be replaced by a rookie who someday might actually be able to take defensive snaps

Nice pass on that punt against the pats.
That's about all that I'm going to end up remembering him for. I've tried to block out the games this year where he tried unsuccessfully to take the proper angles to make tackles

Diggs, Davis, Shakir, Harty, Sherfield...aaaand... Kumerow!
Cross off Kumerow with TBD draft pick, and you've got it

I don't think they're cutting Neal, for the simple reason that it's unlikely that we re-sign Taiwan Jones, who plays the opposite gunner position

I'd rather take my chances with Terrel Bernard and Baylon Spector

I'm pretty much done giving a crap about any moves that the Patriots make at this point
Without Brady, they've been exposed as being a totally mediocre organization
Overall, they lack high end talent
Their drafting and free agent signings don't come across as being overly strategic
Their coaching is an inbred joke, despite having a genius at the head position
They are soon to have the worst QB situation in the division
And they haven't beaten the Bills in a non-hurricane situation since 2019
They might as well be the Jets at this point

There are plenty of options out there that are relatively inexpensive and don't make me want to throw up in my mouth
Darnold is a decent option
Heinicke is another
Would love Brissett because he can actually play, and is a tough SOB
We're not drafting a QB for as long as Josh Allen wants Matt Barkley as the #3

I never want to see this guy take another defensive snap for the Bills
-
That's a nice move for that guy - he's got some talent and some moxie, and will definitely see the field next year

I hated this pick from day one. Oliver is undersized and not quick enough to make a difference. Would love to trade him and move on. Hell as much as I rag on Edmunds I would take Edmunds on a long term deal over Oliver any day
The correct answer here is "c - neither"

I have a difficult time understanding why they felt the need to do this right now.
What is the real downside of waiting until after next season to see if he's healthy?
If he produces and you want to keep him, you still have to pay him either way. But guaranteeing his salary for 2024 when he had 3 concussions last year?

We're not trading a productive starting WR on a rookie contract for draft picks in a year where we're trying to make it to the Super Bowl.
I don't care how much the fan base wants to hate on Gabe Davis or think that he should be a 1000 yard guy on a team with a clear #1
Do we need to improve the position as a whole? AbsolutelyBut not at the expense of a cheap and viable starter when we need as many of those as we can get these days

What are we watching him for? Are we trying to time his routes with a sundial?

My god it's a long off-season
Imagine if we didn't have a team that made the playoffs 5 out of the last 6 seasons

Week 1 - Jets at Home - Sunday 1 PM
I also think that the Bills will get the inaugural Black Friday game. After playing 3X on Thanksgiving over the past 4 years, I think the NFL would love to reward the Bills with a holiday home game.
A 3PM Friday game would be a massive party tailgating scene, and I for one, am all in on that possibility

Well, that saves us from having to cut him after training camp
