I'm willing to bet that Reggie Gilliam doesn't even make the team, let alone get a "C"

I mean, they're not terrible, but the first thought I had is that the horizontal stripes aren't going to be too flattering to the offensive linemen

Happy for Wilson. He needed to get the hell out of NJ. Wilson isn't a good QB, but that organization did him no favors and constantly undermined him at every opportunity. Salah should get fired for the gross mismanagement of his first draft pick.
Don't worry, Saleh isn't going to make his way past Black Monday this coming season. He's as done and cooked as any coach could be

Another team trying to look like they belong in the Arena league

I thought that he was just going to drill another oil well instead??

All of this being said, I still might give credence to the thought of having Belichick replace McDermott after this season
It's not a pretty thought, and there'd be plenty of conflict - but give the guy a superstar QB like Josh Allen and he might just figure out the rest of it faster than Beane and McDermott have been able to

You and 500K others that claim to.Yup, except I'm betting that at least 499,995 of those others don't carry the ticket stub around in their wallets as proof

I'll always associate 14 with Frank Reich - having sat in the stands that amazing day in January 1993

Houston had a fun run last year as a surprise team with no expectations, playing a lot of non-primetime games and in a division where the other 3 teams basically tripped over themselves. Sure - Stroud had an excellent year and comported himself well, but the next step is the harder one.
Let's see how they develop once they start to face a much harder schedule, with more media coverage, expectations, etc - before we all start to listen to the talking heads anoint them as the next best thing and a true title contender
-
It's all part of Beane's yearly cycle of having more reserve experienced OL than we can reasonably keep.
Then trade the guys on the fringe for future draft picks

Excellent write-up by the OP
I agree that we do have an opportunity to be better next year - both with the young guys getting more targets, but also with an offseason to implement Brady's full scheme.
I also think that there's a big opportunity to get more speed into the equation as well - something that we've missed since we had McKenzie. I'd like to see more motion, jet sweeps, all that fun stuff that I think really wasn't there last year. I think Samuel adds a dimension of that unpredictability so hopefully we get more of an infusion of that in the draft too.

Give it up man....we are looking at a 2 year re-tooling phase right now. It's not a bad thing. Bills will be fine in the long run. You are nuts if your expectation is a Super Bowl win in 2024
I don't think it's any more nuts than our expectations were last year.
All we need is a ticket to the playoffs, for the defense to show up, and for Josh to play like Josh
The rest will sort itself out - and losing Diggs really doesn't impact the feasibility of winning it all in 2024

Do folks just not understand that we won 6 straight games at the end of the year with Diggs pretty much being a non-factor?
The whole "we just gave up on 2024" narrative is just ridiculous given the weapons that we still have (and still have a draft and FA to acquire), plus another year of prime Josh Allen on the team
Frankly, I'm super glad that Beane made the hard decision NOW rather than go through another season of declining production, and off-field drama, while taking targets away from a younger receiving crew

As for the players safety the league already announced it will be the teams that played the week before on Saturday giving them 11 days to get ready for another game.
That sounds unlikely - so they're moving bye weeks to be that late in the season just to accommodate Christmas Day games?
-
You only trade a future first-round pick to move up for one position - and it isn't WR

At this point, no one should be surprised by the combined greed of the Shield coinciding with their complete disregard for player safety or the fans

We're going to sign a veteran safety at some point soon - that way Beane can fully hedge his bets in the draft
Especially since there's a lot of unsigned guys out there that at some point, the prices will start to come down
Heck - even Hyde might decide to come back and can be had at a relatively low price
That way, they can draft a safety in the middle rounds and ease him into dime looks and ST to start

They still have Kirk Cousins, a 36 year old QB coming off an Achilles tear, so that doesn't make a big difference. Ask Dan Marino how QB's typically look after one of those...and he was a better QB than Cousins ever dreamt about being as a kid.
Dan Marino played 6 pretty good seasons after tearing his Achilles, and I believe they made the playoffs 5 of those years
Yeah he was still pretty good

There's nothing to be bitter about - you can't judge the trade by how the TBD draftee works out - even if it's Justin Jefferson or Patrick Mahomes
That's results-based analysis and really doesn't have any bearing on whether Beane made the right decision or not
He traded a low 1st round draft pick for a known, proven, high-performing player, at a known cost
Diggs has performed at or above the level we expected
That's a solid trade any day of the week from a Bills perspective
It just so happens that the Vikings are probably happy with the results too... although I'm not sure they won any playoff games and will have to pay Jefferson if they want to keep him...

It burns my eyes just having to look at this post
I love the Bills and I freaking hate Kermit Mahomes
It would probably damage my soul permanently to have to root for him

That's some pretty hefty money for a 3rd string RB

I think that a Center is actually very realistic - thinking that they're going into the season with McGovern at Center and sliding Edwards in as a starter at guard isn't something that Beane would just be OK with - meaning that they're targeting a high draft pick to either come in and start right away, or at least by mid-season
