We're not spending a dime over 14-15M for Edmunds. I don't care if it's an extension or tag.  We have way too many issues on the OL and WR to have the luxury of keeping 49. Yes he's played well this season but his time in Buffalo is numbered.

And, sadly I’m sure he’ll prosper in a scheme that utilizes his skillset.

  2. The NFL comes out of this looking totally callous, like a second rate organization (of hypocrites) and this moment should be acknowledged for what it was, a horrible black mark on their history.  An organization with any sense of responsibility for their employees’ safety would treat them as human beings and shown leadership and earned respect by taking much more immediate action.  This is evidenced by the fact that he is laying in a hospital bed in critical condition having to be intubated.

Many are speculating it’s this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commotio_cordis

That’s very scary and this is very upsetting to see and to hear.  No more football tonight, if not that, it’s disgraceful.

I was a kid when Daryl Stingley was paralyzed due to a vicious hit from Jack Tatum—scary enough to hear about as a young man.  Seeing this live has been sickening.

The money was going to Cincy.  The Sharps just dumped a pile on Buffalo which arent usually wrong

Spread on Giants v. Indy went from -3.5 to -5.5 (not in same day but still…).  Sometimes the money moving works out (like with the Giants yesterday) and other times it doesn’t (“Las Vegas wasn’t built on winners.”).

Yes, it has demonstrated success for about half a century.

    - Lynn Swann and John Stallworth (Steelers dynasty)

    - Fred Biletnikoff and Cliff Branch (peak Raiders)

    - Jerry Rice and John Taylor (49ers dynasty)

    - Isaac Bruce and Tory Holt (Greatest Show on Turf Rams SB winners)

    Ahh, to be young ...

Here’s another one (this time a trifecta but they never made it though they sure deserved at least one SB):  Fouts throwing the ball to these “three” guys: Charlie Joiner, John Jefferson/Wes Chandler and Kellen Winslow (Air Coryell — the Coryell coaching tree over the years is extremely impressive—John Madden, Bill Walsh, and Joe Gibbs and many more top notch football coaches).

I don’t think that’s a fair comparison.  Kenneth Davis was nothing like James Cook.  Change of pace in that they’re/were both the backup RB?  Okay.  Jimbo Cook can be a RB1, and has elite game changing skills/attributes.

Or Thunder and Lightning—Chuck Muncie and Tony Galbreath.

If Bates can go at center, we will be fine I actually like him a lot as a center.

That’s one of the reasons we matched the Bears’ offer sheet.  With the expectation of having a backup on those positions on the line.  Not to be a mere speed bump.  But to actually play the positions on the line where we needed depth so the next man up wasn’t just somebody off the PS.  Time for Beane to remind him to earn that money.  🤞

  8. Time for Frazier to prove he can come up with schemes and adjust his D  those 3rd downs with slippery Mahomes running around or those other likely playoff bound QBs who likewise need to be pressured.

We’ve been spending and drafting for that D-Line and in this, “our year”, we brought in Von to be our closer to fill in those deficiencies but he’s gone.  Time for Frazier to step up and show us all that he’s got (and some tackling drills might help).

It’s a narrow window we gotta strike now.  Josh can’t walk on water forever.

  9. Watching these soft Frazier defenses who also can’t tackle makes me miss the 4-3s with Pettine and Schwartz.  Statistically ranked high and I recall most people at TBD liked what they accomplished.

And, like a lot of others at TBD have said well before me, I’d like to see how Edmunds plays in a 4-3, too bad we might have to watch him wreak havoc playing in a more skillset friendly scheme on another team next year with the salary he’ll get.
